Whoa whoa whoa it's happening now!

I'm going to start on a post after I catch up on the ICs, hope no one minds. My teacher said we could leave after finishing the test, so I'm home an hour earlier c:

Edit: Post is up now.
Hey guys, sorry, I can't post tonight. I just finished my accounting homework and I need to go over it and study the stuff I don't get before my test tomorrow, I'm in some serious trouble if I bomb like I did on the last one. I'll be able to post at my usual (late) time tomorrow night.

Los Paraísos: Hell's Kitchen Restaurant

“Yeah. Apparently something all these women who went missing had in common was they had gone to a certain three nightclubs sometime. It might have something to do with it, or not at all. So I went and checked it out. Didn’t find anything though… but the music and drinks are bitchin’! You know, we should go clubbing sometime.” Josette’s eyes flickered to Estelle, Lisette, Xandra, Aria and Selan. “Girls’ night out!”

"Clubbing sounds like a lot of fun!" Lisette chirped, clapping her hands together. "I've never done it, but I'm sure it'd be really great!"

Selan actually nodded, a pursed smile on her lips. "That does sound like fun, actually." At the same time, a sinking feeling grew in her stomach at the thought of the disappearances spanning over such a relatively long period of time, with almost zero public knowledge of the whole thing. Girls continually being taken, for gods knew what reasons...

Cid returned with the appetizers, and began asking for their orders. After being reassured that it was vegetarian, Lisette was talked into ordering the gnocchi. Selan ordered her risotto and decided to have the complimentary wine on the side as well, along with a refill of her water.

"Come on Josette, what were the nightclubs? Do you all think we should scope it out?” Dylan asked.

A discussion broke out about their course of action; some, like Syed and Dylan, had their reservations about putting the females in the group in a risky situations.

"I agree with Miss Moira! It sounds like the best lead we have," Lisette said from behind her water glass. She was completely ignoring the calamari platter, and was repeatedly sipping at her drink to keep her stomach from growling. "We can take care of ourselves, right? And if we find the person who's behind the disappearances, we can stop more ladies from, you know, disappearing."

“I think it’d be fun. Josette went and came back safely, not to mention we’d be in a group. Of course, I’m hardly the voice of authority here. I say we let him decide; Chirps is the one in charge after all.” Aria suggested.

One corner of Selan's mouth involuntarily curled up into a smirk. Her least favorite trait about herself was that she held grudges, and she certainly still held one after the last time 'Chirps' was given a decision. But it had been some time since then; perhaps he had grown from the whole experience. Or, perhaps he was still the same insufferably egotistical man she had the displeasure of being abandoned by before.

Not to mention that he'd probably jump for joy at the prospect of going to a nightclub frequented by beautiful women with expensive tastes... she thought dryly. Personally, she would rather get somewhere with their mission, and if the nightclubs were a lead, then that was where they should go. The only thing she was worried about was addressed the moment it came to mind. "Trixie wouldn't be allowed into a nightclub though, would she? I don't think I feel comfortable with putting her in that situation..." she looked to the trickster apologetically.
Okay, I'm working on a post now!
I'll be posting later, as usual. I'm just so amused by how perfectly Chef Dennis is being written, haha.

Los Paraisos: Hell's Kitchen Restaurant

For Selan, it certainly was odd to finally see Don's sister in person. They hadn't caught so much as a glimpse of each other back in Tabul, and surely to Josette, she had no idea of the woman's existence. She seemed relatively unassuming, all things considered. But she had heard Estelle mutter various vagueries about the girl under her breath quite a bit in the days after that mission had ended.

It was an exhorbitantly fancy restaurant, though. Even surrounded by expensive tourist magnets, the place was on an entirely different level. As usual, Selan blended in well with the posh environment, but on the inside she was feeling a bit stiff and uncomfortable with how utterly luxurious everything was. It was nice, yet part of her deeply missed her modest home back at in Clockwork. But as these sorts of things always tended to be, there had to be a fly in the ointment somewhere...

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU CALL THIS?! THERE'S SO MUCH OIL ON THIS PEOPLE WANT TO INVADE IT!!!"

Lisette ducked low to the table the moment the shouting began, crossing her pigtails at her chin. She hadn't been expecting that at all!

"This place is sc..."

"Your drinks, bros and sises!"

Any worries that Lisette had evaporated by the revelation that the bigger bowl was for her beloved companion. "Oh wow, thank you Mister! What a nice place!" She sat Kapi on the edge of the table next to the bowl, which he lapped at gratefully. The contrast brought up some fuzzy, possibly-nearly-blocked-out memories of Kapi being forcibly taken away from her back at the Manor. Having accommodations made for the capybara like this was just... nice! So nice, that Lisette suddenly brought up her menu fast enough that she almost flipped it forward and hit her nose.

The yelling continued every once in a while, interrupting their attempts at conducting the business meeting most of them had been waiting hours for.

"Those all sound fine," Selan said in regard to the appetizer suggestions, barely looking up from her menu. There were just too many options, and she wasn't sure whether to order something plain or fancy, familiar or new... She eventually settled on ordering the risotto, seeing as the word and the dish itself were being flung about every few minutes or so.

Having decided, she could now focus on a much more important matter. She nodded at Aria's reference to their attempts at asking around earlier in the day. "Mm. I can't say for sure, but it seems like there's some kind of cover-up happening here. I could be wrong... In fact, I'd like to be wrong, but..."

Selan's voice was suddenly drowned out by more shouting coming from the kitchen. She trailed off and reached for a sip from her water glass. The bendy straw lay unused next to her utensils, still wrapped in her napkin.
I can't even type, I'm just floored at the restaurant scene, omg lol.

I'll be going to bed as soon as I'm done though. Have a good week, everyone!
Post is up, hope everything is alright there, I kinda kept on typing without thinking too much about it because it's 5AM aw crap I have to get up early for school on Monday and my sleep schedule got messed up again.

I only played it for like a half hour because my dad was already asleep on the couch, I just wanted to try fighting something really quick. My computer isn't great, so it's nice to not have to deal with lag issues and stuff. And I really prefer a controller over mouse/keyboard. I'm still getting used to the controls, but I'm looking forward to the full game when it comes out!

I do have PS+ :3 I guess I'll look and see what's available, but I really doubt I'll get a Vita, just not too interested in it. On the other hand... OTL I just found out there's going to be a PS4 version of Minecraft. I hate buying the same game on multiple systems, but... ;A;

And now I'm off to bed X___X I'll be posting late tomorrow too, unfortunately. Gotta spend some time with my dad before he leaves in the morning, gonna play some PS4, food shopping, then a bunch of homework, and The Walking/Talking Dead. There really aren't enough hours in a day. :| especially since I slept for 11 hours last night

Los Paraísos: Pellagio Casino: Texas Hold'em Poker Table

“Sure! Sure! That sounds good! I’m looking forward to… oh my god, look out!!”

Lisette's breath caught in her throat as the thing spiraled through the air. She thought it might have been something like Elaine's chakram, or an axe, or something, but when the dust cleared, she definitely wasn't expecting to see what was clearly a roulette wheel sticking out of the floor.

"Are you two okay?" Lisette called over to Clive and Aria, looking around worriedly to see where it had come from. There were far too many people and tables and machines in the way to see clearly, but it was a miracle that no one had gotten hurt.

“We probably should go somewhere else…” Aria suggested slowly, eyeing the roulette table. “Just in case more things start flying at us?”

"For sure...!" Lisette agreed. "Josette, what place did you have in mind? I bet you have really good taste!"

Los Paraísos: The Double Scoop

With a heavy heart, Don surrendered his winnings to cover the cost of the damages, and with that, they left the roulette table in search of simpler, better things.

And that turned out to be ice cream. Selan would have preferred a nice lounge with a piano instead, but she followed along anyway, eager to leave the gambling atmosphere.

Selan eyed the board of flavors with some level of interest, seeing descriptions of fruits and toppings that she had never heard of before. The world was a vast place indeed, as some tourists were asking about ingredients that seemed commonplace to them, while ordering some of the more unfamiliar ones with ease.

"Selan...?" Don asked, waiting for her to say something.

"No thank you, I don't like ice cream very much." she said in a flat, tired voice.

"U-uh, well... I meant... Could you, well, buy me some? You see, my chips..."

Selan looked away from the board and caught Don rubbing the back of his head, holding his hand out sheepishly for some Gald.

She would have done it regardless, but she was feeling especially sympathetic after watching the poor man give up the rewards of his unusual luck. "Oh... Of course. Choose whatever you like."

Don looked about ready to explode from giddiness. And yet, there were tears streaming down his eyes once again. "Oh Sel, you're so good to me!"

"Just... Not too expensive, please..." Selan added, remembering the prices on the board. Tiberius couldn't reimburse her for something she can't pay for up front!
Don't worry, I didn't forget about you guys! I'm going to work on a post now before I clunk off to bed, hehe.

Buuuut...

I got a PS4 today! I have NO IDEA what was up with California today, but it's like after the storm (and a tornado further up north!) everyone decided to go out yesterday o_o Lots of traffic, and almost EVERY PLACE was sold out of PS4s! We had to drive out a half hour just to get one, and they were saying that they got mobbed all day by large groups of people, and they had "a few" left. And then we went to the grocery store on our way home and even at 7PM there were a lot of people there. Weird stuff.

But yaaaay, we got one! Not a lot of games to choose from yet, eesh. WWE Network works beautifully compared to my computer (slow as hell), my sister's tablet (causes it to crash entirely), my phone (doesn't load), and my tablet (website recognizes it as a tablet and keeps redirecting to download the app that hasn't updated with the Network yet). The only games we have are Assassin's Creed IV, Outlast (IT'S TOO SCARY I CAN'T DO IT), and the FFXIV demo (which ends later today, boooo).

Animals, huh?
