Los Paraisos: Saint Drega's Church

Lisette was recovering from the disappointment of still not knowing where Kapi was, but she wasn't preparing for what Jerry, the lifeguard from yesterday, was about to say next.

He bursted through the church doors, screaming for his "bro" and looking like the world was ending for all he knew. From what he was shouting, there was an emergency, and it was... It was...

"It's- It's Big Sis! She's... oh gods, she's gone missing! We need to hurry and find Big Bro now or...!"

Lisette's breath caught in the back of her throat, and her jaw dropped. "Big Sis... Miss Josette?"

"Should've fuckin known this would happen!" Amy snarled, pressing her fingers into her forehead.

"You mean... You don't think she's...?" Lisette asked, looking to each person's eyes and hoping Jerry wasn't implying what she thought he was implying. "We need to find Mister Capuello and Mister Thunderhawk, quick! It hasn't been a day since we last saw her, someone has to know where she last was, and... Are you sure she's missing!? Oh, what do we do...?"

Lisette anxiously started pulling on the end of one of her pigtails with both hands and began walking toward the exit. There wasn't a moment to waste if what Jerry was saying is true. Is Josette okay? If she really has gone missing, where are Estelle and Trixie?

Los Paraisos: La Macabaret

When Selan finally turned to look at the monitor, she was stunned by what she saw. The footage was just about what she expected considering her [lack of] knowledge about the previous night's events. But what she hadn't anticipated was just how... polished her and Don's performance turned out to be. Their singing was in tune, their choreography was impressive, and the unfamiliar song choice (she didn't think she could replicate the lyrics now if she tried) and accompanying band were impeccable.

It was a good look for them, she admitted to herself.

But of course, the moment was ruined, at least for her, when Don bent on one knee and presented a magnificent diamond ring to her (the whereabouts of which she hadn't a clue). The way in which he said it was, in a way, more sincere than the first time he asked her the same question.

“Miss, please tell me you’ll marry my big bro! You’re perfect! And he’s perfect! You’d be perfect together!” Ken stared at her with a fiery intensity in his eyes that all of the Capuello-aligned bandits seemed to share.

Selan looked palpably uncomfortable, and the answer hung in the air for a few seconds.

As if this day were destined to be filled with all sorts of loud slamming noises and shatters and yells, the doors burst open, hitting the walls on either side hard enough to leave dents and scratches in the paint and causing the equipment in the room to rattle from the force.

The waiter from yesterday...

Cid was yelping about an "emergency" over and over, to the point that Selan thought it was a classic case of "bro" overreacting. But she quickly realized that the emergency was all too real:

"Big Sis… Big Sis has been KIDNAPPED!!"

“Wait, Josette?” Dylan asked, concern in his face. “We have to do something. It’s what Guilders do! Do you know anything else, bro? Who was the last to see her? And what should we do with this baby?”

"Huh!? Josy's gone!? Gaaaah! I knew bad guys were afoot!"

"Are you absolutely sure that Josette is missing?" Selan asked, not wanting the situation to spiral out of control if it didn't have to. "And here, let me take him, Dylan." She reached for the baby, just as confused about what to do with him now as he was. Surely it wouldn't be right to take him along while they looked for Josette. Regret welled up, and she felt apologetic that her and Don's drunken antics had prevented her from being able to approach the hotel staff about him sooner, and she felt terrible that she may have been directly responsible for separating the young child from his parents.
Still awake and planning on posting, I'm just watching a show since new episodes come out around 2AM on Sundays ^^;

Edit: Post is up! I'll respond more to OOC stuff later, I gotta go to sleep before the sun comes up, hehe.
I got caught up playing Injustice: Gods Among Us after cleaning today :| Punch-punch-smash-smash makes Tae a happier camper @_@ Why can't fighting games ever get everything right? I honestly think Soul Calibur has one of the more polished fighting game mechanics than most, but their story modes are short, bland, and unfinished, and Injustice's gameplay is kinda iffy (hit boxes are WAY TOO SMALL), but the story was voiced pretty nicely and actually kinda made sense. I swear I kinda got emotional at Cyborg having the same voice actor from the Teen Titans cartoon, "BOOYAH!" and all. But that isn't to say that I'm not enjoying Injustice, the only thing that really bugs me is that the cutscenes are super jerky, and seeing as I'm playing it on the PS4 and it's a port of a previous-gen game, that seems... inexcusable?

Anyhoodle, I still haven't caught up on the IC at all since I'm hanging out with my sister, but I'll get right on reading up and posting after she goes to bed.
Thanks for understanding Pach, today's definitely a better day so far.

I completely agree, and you're totally right, at least for me I felt I was at a loss because you hadn't posted, and as you said, it really isn't fair on you, and you should absolutely be able to miss posting days every once in a while and still expect things to move along smoothly. I'm sorry for any frustration that yesterday's posting round may have caused.

Last night I gave writing the ol' college try before admitting I was completely burned out, but honestly, I feel like I could have gotten something up if there was more communication in the OOC, which I tried to facilitate? I feel like OOC activity dies down when we actually need to discuss things related to IC stuff compared to when we're goofing around, and we should be working on trying to fix that to avoid something like this happening again. Most of us go to Pach when we have ideas for the IC, but personally I'd like to see more discussion happening here where everyone can see it, and we can help each other when we don't know what to write.

I haven't gotten caught up on the IC and I don't expect to be able to until later, my sister wants to do some cleaning today. Just thought I'd drop in and see what's up first. I hope everyone has a good weekend.
I'm not posting tonight, my mom's having some medical issues and I've been on the phone with both of my parents on and off for hours. I just want to go to bed now, I'm sorry guys.
Whoever posts first then, I guess! I don't know when I'll be able to, probably later because I have a Skype date thing with my friends and that usually takes forever, heh. But I'll help move things along regardless~
Well, my thinking is that we're more or less done at the church? I thought we were going to find out more about Amy's issues with the accidental marriage, but if that's left up in the air on purpose then there's not much else to do there. If we could wrap things up at the night club (Pach mentioned having an idea for the baby's parents, possibly connected to there) then we could move on. I'd really like to move towards finding out where Estelle and Josette are.

Pach, is everything alright? You don't usually not-post in the OOC.

Edit: I mean, I don't have a whole lot to work with but I'll try and post later tonight? I don't want to wing everything considering both Tom's response and the possible video footage have to do with the parts none of the characters can remember and I don't want to make it all up by myself, so if anyone had something in mind for what they did then by all means post it in the OOC. Sort of like a "speak now or forever hold your peace" thing. (Edit-edit: SEE WHAT I DID THERE)
Agreed, I was just following Pach's lead since he wrote Selan into looking for Trixie and Aria and Don going somewhere else. Like I started with Lisette, I'd like to see this investigation phase thing lead to some more solid answers, and everyone should be present in their respective groups.

But just saying, if Rex had an idea for that piece of paper (and the bite marks), I really want to make sure we explore that? I don't want to just handwave it if she was going somewhere with it.

Los Paraisos: Saint Drega's Church

So never mind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
Even cold November rain...

Tears welled up in the corners of Lisette's eyes, and threatened to spill over onto her cheeks. The combination of exhaustion, confusion, and a totally crappy headache was making the entire thing seem much more depressing than it actually was. It was such a strangely sad thing, that according to Father Tom, most marriages ended in divorce. Or worse, Lisette thought sadly. If she ever got married, she hoped it would last longer than, what, 12 hours?

Amy left immediately after signing the papers, but it sounded like she hadn't signed in the right spot. Lisette figured the wording was probably confusing or something, which she could relate to; Marise helped her quite a bit with filling out her Guilder forms.

"What are you doing? Shouldn't we be asking this guy like, more about the night?"

"Oh... Oh! Right!" Lisette piped up, turning toward Tom. "Mister Father Tom, could you tell us more about last night? Do you remember if we said what we had been doing before we got here, or if we were planning on going anywhere after? Or if there was a capybara with me...?"

Los Paraisos: La Macabaret

After sending Don and Aria off with another task to concentrate on, Selan decided to be the one to see what Trixie's commotion was about. Her screaming and shouting was bouncing all over the walls of the restroom and echoing into a mostly unintelligible sound, and considering her hangover, it needed to stop. As weary as Selan could be sometimes, she was younger and more gentle than Amy, who probably would have wrangled Trixie into silence within moments.

"Trixie, what's the mat-- Oh."

She found Trixie crouched over one of the toilets, holding one of her guns. It was dripping toilet water back into the bowl, and Selan instinctively started backing away.

"Miss Pretty, look at this!"

"Trixie, please don't--"

She was cringing and didn't want to be anywhere near the toilet-y uzi, but looking back at the prankster, she was actually holding up her other hand, which held the chalk and the scrap of paper. She gingerly plucked it out of her hands and took a closer look.

"Did you draw this, Trixie? What is it supposed to be...?" Selan asked, rotating the paper around to see if the drawing made more sense at a different angle.
Hey, welcome backi! :>

You know, I could see myself kinda doing the same thing. I can't remember the last time I wasn't completely cranky on my birthday, I don't like having attention on me for so many hours and not being able to have time to myself for a bit. Probably why I stay up so late all the time too, it's nice to have some quiet time to listen to music and type my posts

Those icy hot patch thingies are so nice @.@ I should wear them during school...

Anyhoodle, I'm working on a post now! My internet is being a little finicky, but I'm pretty awake at the moment so I'll get something up eventually c:

Edit: Done. Sorry for the shortness, I feel like I need to get back into my writing groove. Buns, I didn't know what was meant by Tom and the light (apologies if I'm being a dumbo and missed something), if you intended something for that and Lisette needs to have a more proper reaction, feel free to tell me or write it in if you want.
