Thaum: Bugtanical Gardens

After Don's outburst, Lisette answered Xandra's question with a gleeful smile. "Well, I love bugs! They're so cute and interesting... And the varieties here are totally different than where I'm from, it's sooo cool..."

Lisette rambled on for a bit until they reached the garden, which only caused her enthusiasm to skyrocket even higher. Kapi, with Isaac still in tow, looked longingly at a nearby pond, but wasn't entirely pleased at the sight of the hundreds of dragonflies flitting nearby.

"Wow, this is so pretty!" Lisette gushed, looking around in amazement. "Oh, this is gonna be so much fun! I'll be rooting for you, Estelle!" she said, clasping her hands together. "Just um... Don't hurt the bugs with the nets..."

Thaum: Town Square

“Y-yeah, that’s how- I mean, yes that was, uh, me. No, actually it wasn’t me, it was Delilah. She does that by herself, but we work as a team most of the time,” He wrung his hands helplessly then added, “We can make any sort of sound so long as there’s another sound to draw it from. Er, that doesn’t make sense, does it? Just think that uh, well… How do I say this…”

Lute had left them no time to respond, leaving Selan and Syed exchanging looks.

"'Delilah'...?" Selan mouthed silently, looking quizzical.

Thaum: Coliseum

Selan was relatively tall, but she suddenly felt miniscule in the shadows of the crowds of hulking men and their broadswords and great axes. A very manly smell filled the air, and while Moira breathed it in with gusto, Selan couldn't help but wrinkle her nose.

Why did she choose the coliseum over a garden, again?

Ah, of course... bugs. After a million little spiders and one giant one? I think I can tolerate this for a while.

Considering their surroundings, it was no wonder that the woman named Robin stuck out just as much as they did. She seemed like a pleasant, yet no-nonsense kind of person. Selan supposed one would have to be to put up with a place like this.

“So, just feel free to sit down if you’re not going to join. Free seats tend to run out very fast in this place,” Robin smiled again before tucking her hands behind her back.

"We will, thank you. I suppose we should find our seats then," Selan said to Amy. "Be careful everyone, and, ah, good luck."

Selan and Amy managed to find seats with a decent enough view of the large screen, although they were practically boxed in by the massive arms of the men and women seated around them.
@_@

Here, have a picture of my cat to cure what ails ya :')

I'll be posting sometime in the next few hours, just kinda winding down since it's my first hour of relaxation in 3 days ;0
Rough day, Pach? ;0

I have two more hours until I have to email my teacher my project (I totally didn't finish the print-out portion of it, ack) THEN I'M FREEEEE until I have to study for my finals

Thaum: The Azure Sea

Lisette couldn't have looked more depressed at the sight of the cooked blobfish -- her own face was beginning to resemble it somewhat.

“So how does that vegetarian thing work for you? Filling? Healthy? Less creepy than whatever the hell that was.” Dylan asked, pointing at the poor thing with his thumb.

"Oh, yes, I kinda think I'm like Kapi sometimes, all I need are plants, water, and sunlight..." Lisette said, tearing her eyes away from the blobfish platter. "I used to eat meat and stuff when I was little so it was hard to get used to at first, but now I love it! And now I can't bear to eat anything that has a... has a... face..." she finished, grimacing. "Well, unless it's one of those cute cookies with icing shaped like a face, I guess..."

Her father used to say that little girl ate 'like a bird', which wasn't necessarily true, but thanks to Moira's help, there was still a great deal left on her plate. She poked at the remaining greens with her fork, willing herself to bring it to her mouth every so often so as not to waste anything.

Selan was eyeing the newest man with some interest. Compared to all of the outgoing and outspoken personalities in their group, 'Lulu' seemed quite timid. But nonetheless, she was pleased to see another Guilder with some kind of musical ability; her abilities were definitely uncommon at Clockwork... Who knows how many others there are elsewhere?

Moira began shouting about a coliseum in a manner that was now typical to Pride meals, and Lisette wilted slightly at the thought of fighting for fun.

"Oh and before I forget, there's something special going on in the garden today," Atlas said as he began to leave. "You'll need to see that too. Thaum has a lot of interesting critters," he jabbed a finger in Isaac's and Kapi's directions. "Those two could make some friends and it might be y'know, fun." The man popped a shrimp roll into his mouth and gave Amy a wave. "Haha, I'll catch you all later."

Lisette, who had her mouth full of salad, nearly choked. "Mmmmph...!?"

“Hey Lisette, you wanna go to the Garden with me and Xan?” Estelle asked, cleaning up what little was left of her plate and reaching to nuzzle Kapi and Isaac in her arms. “It sounds like it’ll be fun! Right, Trixie?”

The archer swallowed. "Sure do! Let's go, let's go! Oh... Wait..." She quickly shoveled down the remainder of her plate and gulped down her lemonade. "Okay, okay, let's go!"

Thaum: Outside the Azure Sea (Group A)

Lisette stuck close to Estelle and Xandra; she wasn't at all confident in her sense of direction in this new place, but somehow following Don didn't really seem to be the best idea. Unfortunately, Estelle wasn't totally sure either, but Lisette was simply glad to finally have some time to hang out together!

"It's gonna be so cool!" she said with a skip in her step. "I have a journal in my bag that I use to draw new plants and stuff that I find, I don't think I've used it since we were in Weir, it got all wet from the rain... Say, Miss Xandra, do you like bugs?" she asked, leaning forward to look at the woman on Estelle's other side.

Thaum: Outside the Azure Sea (Group B)

Selan walked just behind Moira, Syed, and Lute, wondering if she had truly chosen the lesser of two evils. She didn't like insects, but she wasn't too excited about the sort of people who would spend lunchtime beating each other into a pulp. Although she had to admit, she wouldn't mind seeing Moira win over everyone else.

The pair started bickering at each other in typical fashion, while Selan simply enjoyed the fair weather. The sheer normality in itself was pleasant.

"Say, if you don't mind me asking... the music thing, that was you, right? I've never seen anything quite like it. Well. Heard. If you know what I mean. Is it just songs...?" Syed asked Lute.

"Yes, I'm curious as well," Selan added, smiling kindly. "I'd love to know how your ability works. Is it magic?"
Lol Buns xD I guess it's not totally necessary for everyone to call their posts, but if someone has called it with ample notice, then the Don Capuello Cool™ thing to do is to not snipe them, right?

Speaking of, I'm writing a post now~ I have quite a bit to reply to, so yeah, please don't ninja me, I have energy drinks for the sole purpose of staying up all night to finish my homework and I don't have time to go back and edit.

Today was... weird. We finally had our big group speech that we've been working on all semester, and the big deal about it is that we don't have to take the final if we get at least a B... And then my teacher just said "Okay no one has to take the final" and didn't offer any comments on the speeches today except to say that a group that presented on Monday had the best score (which my friend and I disagree with, that speech sounded nice but it was completely missing the point of the assignment). My suspicion is that my teacher is having some medical issues and is kind of just over the semester, but I really don't like the feeling of putting a lot of effort into something and just having that effort be totally ignored, you know? But whatever, I have a 5-8 page paper due for this class on Monday (which I know I'll get 100% on) and then I can go home, so meh.

Math, whatever, I know I'll get a B. And I found out in Bookkeeping that our final is an oral exam, meaning we just have to memorize some accounting stuff and we'll be put on the spot to answer them aloud. Not a big deal, so that's kind of a freebie too.

Anyway, yeah, working on that post and then I'll probably disappear from the IC/OOC until late tomorrow night.

Edit: Done! And I forgot to add, good luck with everyone's tests and assignments and stuff!
Hey guys, sorry for the no post yesterday. I did in fact finish everything that's due today, so that's cool. As for my project..... I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight D; But I'll get a post up later for sure.

Honestly Fox, and please don't take this the wrong way, but you do tend to ninja people on occasion (me usually, haha). Just a reminder to everyone if we could make sure to call our posts in the OOC and be mindful of those who have already called it (and wait until they're done), that'd be good. Because otherwise calling posts is sorta useless @.@ When the semester is over I'd really like to post in the afternoon again, which is when Buns and Danni tend to post, so yeah (I'm really tired, I seriously can't think of a way to finish that sentence lol).

Also Danni, I'll be sure to include that Dylan interaction in my next post even if we're moving on somewhat. You will not be forgotten!! :U

And Kathi, I looooooove your drawing *A* I like it the way it is, it would make such a nice sticker or notebook design or something!
Thanks a bunch, Pach!

Yesyes at Lisette getting some Estelle time :> Lisette would easily choose bug-catching, hahah. Selan can go with whoever, but I can easily see her watching the Coliseum matches.

Unfortunately, today will probably be that day where I can't post, I'm not even going to list all of the stuff that's due tomorrow and Thursday, and I really don't know if I'm going to be able to finish them all. But I'll definitely spare some time for it tomorrow night when half of the things on my to-do list will either have been turned in or given up on ^^;; We'll see, depends on what I can get done in the next... oh... 13 hours.
Just got my post up~ If there's anything that needs fixing please let me know!

Pach, do you have Selan's old castshot, not the original one but the one where she's looking over her shoulder? If you have some time, could you make a castshot with that picture and her current rank? (If you can't find it I can send it to you later, just inconvenient for me at the moment because it's on my PC and I'm doing my homework on my tablet)

Thaum: The Azure Sea

"Miss Moira...!" Lisette protested as the berserker, wielding a pair of tongs, plopped more and more food onto her plate. One of many plump, ripe cherry tomatoes rolled dangerously close to the edge of the dish. "That's way too much..."

"Trust me, darling." Moira said, winking, eliciting a very confused expression on the pigtailed girl's freckled face.

After trying her best not to complain about the very-much-alive lobsters that Don was trying to fish out with his bare hands, Lisette made her way to the table in a peculiar fashion, tilting her entire body as she tried to balance the plate. Kapi was already seated as though reserving a seat for his owner, and stared across the table to stare at Isaac the hedgehog.

Selan was listening to the conversation intently, sipping at her tea. She had her reservations about dealing with a potential combination of demons and thieves, but she had to admit that the mission sounded promising. Since their return from Los Paraisos, it had taken a while for Selan to recover from what was apparent to the others as a very harrowing experience, but now, she was once again composed and pristine, and back in her somewhat-practical robes and sandals.

The diamond ring was still in her possession, inside a hidden pocket of her robes. She had no other choice but to keep it with her, obviously. Luckily, Don had made no mention of his drunken proposal, and had not insisted on her wearing it (or making any acknowledgement about it altogether), much to her relief. It was a conversation she simply would not have.

A wedding march suddenly filled the room, and Selan nearly dropped her glass. Her initial thought was that Don decided to skip the proposal and engagement and barrel straight into a ceremony that she hadn't yet consented to, and she looked around wildly, only to see that Don, in addition to the others, was just as surprised as she was.

A young man she hadn't noticed previously was shouting something near the aquariums.

"Who's he talking to...?" Lisette whispered to Trixie next to her in a hushed voice.
