Good morning everyone! I woke up a few minutes before my alarm was supposed to go off because I had a ridiculous nightmare that I actually missed my last final entirely and my grades turned out horrible (ಥ_ಥ)

Did I mention that my grades for the semester were 2 As and 2 Bs? :>

But I'm up earlier than usual (even though it's 11AM...) because I have to register for my classes at exactly 11:14 :p
Hey guys~

Hope you feel better soon Buns! And Kei, I'm sure you did fine, but don't let it get you down too much. Don't worry ♪ Be happy ♪

You guys should try making your characters in this generator thingy, it's fun ^^

I haven't actually finished a Pokemon game since Pearl... (and I have SoulSilver and Y)

... But I'm probably going to buy this new game too. =_=

Thaum? - Coliseum

Estelle's embrace seemed to snap Selan out of her daze, and the songstress took a deep, shaky breath to calm herself down.

"Is Selan okay?" she heard Dylan ask.

"I'm... I'm fine," Selan breathed, turning away from Estelle to quickly wipe away welled-up tears with the back of her hand. A few more deep breaths, and her tense shoulders finally relaxed.

That is, until the floor they were standing on began to ascend higher and higher, and bright lights burned her vision white even though her eyes were closed.

"You... you have got to be joking..."

Selan pulled herself up and her still-adjusting eyes shifted over their surroundings, finally beginning to understand where they were. Or at least, she thought she was understanding; she briefly thought she had somehow fallen asleep back at the coliseum, and the mayhem that had occurred there and afterward was simply a dream. But the friends that surrounded her were different from before, and the audience...

They weren't in the audience, the audience was watching them. And the eyes that stared at them were not human. But they weren't malicious in the predatory way that she would have expected... She spotted a small wolf perched on the shoulders of a bigger one, waving a tiny wooden sword in the air like an excited child.

There was a reason Selan opted out of competing with the others before, and she backed up towards one side of the cage. Luckily, her companions were much better suited, and she wondered who, or what, exactly they would be forced to fight.

Thaum Square?

Lisette woke up to the smells of the stalls in Thaum Square. She supposed they waited all night for Dr. Dream, Atlas, and Marcus to arrive and then it was daytime again, or something.

"Maaaarshmallows..." Lisette half-yawned and half-mumbled. She reached for her bag (finding it a lot lighter than usual since Kapi was no longer inside) and pulled out the paper sack of marshmallows. They'd probably be a little stale, but otherwise they'd probably be fine.

Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!

"Ahhhhh!!" Lisette shrieked, dropping the sack on the ground. The marshmallows spilled out and hopped away.

Lisette didn't bother chasing after them, and instead rushed over to the nearest food stall, which had a harmless-looking picture of ice cream on its sign. A "man" in an "owl suit" held out a monstrous-looking ice cream cone, prompting Lisette to recoil and run to the next one, a harmless produce stand for tomatoes. She remembered that one, there was nothing weird about that one! But when she looked closely, the largest tomato smiled at her.

Faces, faces everywhere! She refused to eat anything with a face!

The archer sunk to her knees in front of the tomato stand, then let loose a loud cry. "Noooooo!! I can never eat anything ever again!!"

Kapi clung onto as much of Don's hair as he could, as the tall man grabbed his friends and bolted. The capybara rotated on the top of his head to see what they were running from. Giant bugs, been there, done that. He rotated again and plopped down, squishing his butt on Don's head.
Hey Pach, I think you might've gotten your post mixed up a little, Don's with Amy, not Trixie. Should we just leave it and switch them around, or...?

Edit: Posted!
Thanks for the idea Pach, I'm a bit inspired by the food stall idea and I'll run with it. :p Working on a post now, no ninjaing please, I have some errands that I need to run right after so I can't go back and rewrite.

Outside Thaum

It was such a close call, and Lisette knew it, too. If it hadn't been for Don, Lisette would likely have been decimated by either the giant scissors that were flung towards her, or the greatsword that would have landed just inches from where she was standing.

But of course, that didn't phase Lisette as much as the giant sea mammal landing on and crushing her hero. The sea creatures falling from the sky were gradually getting bigger, but fate was especially cruel to Don Capuello, it seemed, as he was the recipient of the biggest one thus far.

"Eek, Mister Capuello, nooo!" Lisette cried, a shrill sound not unlike the whale's whistling. Until Lucien pulled him away, Lisette assisted in trying to push it off of Don. She pushed and pushed with everything she had to no avail, accomplishing nothing but making two narrow trenches in the mud as her boots slid backwards from the effort.

Another crack of lightning and a roar of thunder, and Selan felt somehow detached from the fights in front of her, and from the treants surrounding them. She crouched low to the ground, still pressing her hands to her ears, and a shivery, tingling feeling washed over her body more intensely than the pouring rain. Then the difficulty catching her breath settled in, and Selan recognized this as a panic attack, something she tended to only experience when she was left by herself.

A swooping sensation suddenly took over, much to Selan's confusion. But it was a strangely pleasant feeling, since the thunder seemed farther and farther away...
I'm working on a post now~

My internet is being slow lately too :/

Edit: Actually, I cut my post in half... Fox, did you have anywhere in mind for the groups to start out? I was going to place all of my characters in the streets, but that seemed kind of redundant, and I was thinking of placing them in the coliseum/gardens but there would be characters repeating those locations so I wasn't sure (ಥ﹏ಥ) I don't feel comfortable being the one deciding where all the groups' starting positions are, I'm really super sorry if that seems like a cop-out but aaah :s

Outside Thaum

"What kind of sorcery is this!?" Selan cried, pressing her palms hard against her ears to drown out the thunder, and feeling fish after fish smack her on the top of the head with a sickening wet thud. She didn't know whether to feel nauseous or terrified.

"Everyone, stay clear of the trees!" Amy shouted, brandishing her light whip.

Lisette thought Amy was just giving some helpful advice for thunderstorm safety, but she turned to look at the tree nearest to her anyway. It was one of many treants, and a pretty angry-looking one at that. The nature-loving girl was clearly distraught at the sight of fish suffocating on the muddy ground, as well as the idea that someone was using some kind of magic to turn the plants and animals hostile to them, but she knew better now than to stand back and let the creatures attack her friends.

Trixie's flashbangs lit up their vision, just as a bolt of lightning lit up the sky. Lisette squeezed her eyes shut as she reached back to draw her bow. It was the first time she would be using the new weapon that Tiberius Rex had given her, and the weight of it felt different in a nice way in her hand.

When the light subsided, the treant that had grabbed Trixie was still flailing its branches, disoriented and blinded. Lisette had a brief idea, and extended her hand in the treant's direction, intending to control the tree's branches while it was temporarily weakened. Her magic grabbed hold only for a brief moment before the treant regained its vision, and Lisette felt an unpleasant sensation of something wrenching away from her grasp.

Meanwhile, Moira's greatsword sliced through the air towards the giant fox's giant scissors, and it seemed as though momentum would be on their side. But the fox suddenly snapped the scissors shut, miraculously catching the sword as though it were inside a vice. The fox whipped the scissors skyward, sending the greatsword flying and spinning into the sky high enough that it was impossible to see it clearly. With the darkened sky erasing their shadows, no one knew exactly where it was going to land.

Lisette paid no mind to the imminent danger above them and readied an arrow, charging it with some of her magic. She let it fly towards the fox, hoping it would catch it off guard. Mere seconds later, a heavy catfish knocked Lisette on the side of her head.
Working on a post!

Edit: And done. Hope no one minds what I did with the greatsword, and I left the outcomes of that and the arrow open to the next person who posts.
