Well I was thinking of her bursting out laughing calling him out for having such a ''church'' Name and working in a church. ^^

And about the handsome part.....hm...I like it more when she notice it a bit later. Maybe when he shows her gentleness. And she noticed he has soft hands, then notices later his eyes are actually nice a bit later warming up and starting to think of him as handsome.

Running away from her abusive parents, she lived on her own for a short bit, unable to find her way around and nearly starving she stole for the first time. Caught by a gang of older kids. They were all homeless or practically homes, some having parents who wouldnt even notice them missing for weeks. They were somewhat rough and often looked at her like a joke, but they shared their bread and actually taught her how to steal. Some of the older kids who were going to school for a year or two showed her how to read. And a bit how to write.
Years passed and they started to bite bigger bites, stealing money to use it as a rent money, or things to sell over for new cloths. It was a life style one she enjoyed. Sure she was full of scars and always paint the walls black fearing things could get wrong. Normal life was something she couldnt even imagine. With no health care every cold looked as a death sentences. And medicine was costly, pushing them into more serious crimes. Pick-pocketing was left behind as they broke into a home stealing jewelry and money.
Their small group was soon noticed by the bigger criminals and offered them a opportunity. They accepted, the promise of being under a bigger man protection for some work was too good to be aware. Only problem on their first job, the ''test job'' they were set up, canon meat. Thatw as their role to become a scrape goat.
She got a offer, she was the youngest from the catch up, she was offered to go to a church orphanage. If she behaved there and be all nice and such she may get a normal life. She never said yes or no to it. Her mind was still on the kids their group took in over the years. They didnt came to the test job, meaning they were in the hideout, alone. No of their big bros and her big sis coming home with the dinner for the day. She couldnt inform anyone of the kids. She couldnt give them to strangers hands. Hoping they would manage on their own. That they would hold together.
The first 2 mounts were worst possible. She would snap, ignore but mostly she wouldnt go or do anything worse. Just silently cooking her anger. They saw how bad her education was and she did enjoyed the things they were telling her. But she would do everything no to show it. It was by chance when she managed to sneak out her room to the kitchen that a noun saw it. That the girl could cook. She cook a simple dish and eat it all up in a few bites. Fast and in fear. Habits die hard, especially when you from little one learned that food was rare.
Today she was send to help another cook. She frowned. She hated it.

Listening to the explanation it did made him shiver at the image. He supposed his folk could get scary too feathers arching up, screeching that hurt the ears. His ears twitched, as her words continued. Hi tilted his head towards her, his own hair sliding a bit along his back and shoulders.
'' Neither did I killed one of yours...and many do not even see a mermaid in their whole life. But there still someone who would look at meeting a merman as a test of courage.'' He said taking a deep breath and stretching his arms, flapping them to make his wings stretch. The feathers nearly dry at this point.
'' Seeing the end of the violence....it would be nice....But what can I do to actually stop it? I am just one of the many harpy that sing. hm....I dont think the leader would even listen to my words.'' His arms closing redsting in his lap as his head hung. He really didnt know how could it ended, her words sounded so inspirational so true the melody honest.
''Araile~'' He sung her name again. A Soft smile on his lips. '' You are a honest singer. Directly from your beliefs and heart. Its enjoyable to listen to it. '' Would you consider to tell me much more? So at least we two can understand each other? Maybe it can be like a ripple on the water surface. One small drops comes to the most far part of the waters.
