Bio

Yes my name is shit, please don't refer to me by it. Just call me Alpha.

I'm mail and my thing is science fiction. If it involves space travel, I've probably looked into it, since that's my big shebang although I am rather fond of cyberpunk and near-future as well. I'm also big on Atompunk, which is essentially taking the nuclear-obsession and Cold War hysteria of the United States from about 1946-1968. Best example of that is the Fallout games (Which, yes, is one of my favorite series of video games).

I'll do other kinds of roleplay but I really like Nation Roleplay, and typically the sci-fi ones since it's fun making new races, tech, etc. As a result I do like me certain empire-building RTS's and 4X games, like Civilization, Rise of Nations, O.R.B., (And maybe Sins of a Solar Empire if I had a better computer ;-;).

Feel free to enjoy what I've written, I don't have much since I do this rather casually.

It seemed that a high-yield plasma detonator wouldn't be enough to hold back the Equestrians, so they opened fire. They moved forward and created a steady blanket of fire, as even though they were cloaked, a steady barrage of energy rounds would be sufficient, and given the Type 4's high fire rate it would hopefully be enough. Officer Ryna'dum lobbed two more plasma grenades, then pulled out her fifth, and final grenade and threw it as the team jumped into a few rooms that bordered the hallway as two consecutive flashes shone, followed by a third. If two were enough to break one shield and damage another, hopefully the third would be the killing blow. After the third grenade went off they returned to the corridor and continued firing.

It's kinda BS that your soldiers are virtually indestructible in the first place.
Fixed
Again: Two consecutive blasts.

If one went off and wore down one shield, then the second blast would wear down the second as it follows shortly after.
Duck baby, you have to realize that many of your units are grotesquely overpowered and you might need to wane down that power a bit. Just for the sake of making things fair for the rest of us.

Yeah, I get that Sazkarjhia isn't the most advanced empire out there, but if being able to shrug off that much damage is a bit ludicrous, wouldn't you say?
"Just how hot can plasma get? Well, since we know that the sun is made of plasma, it's obvious that the stuff can get pretty hot. But for decades, scientists have been puzzled as to why the outer layer of the sun's atmosphere, called the corona, was so hot -- hotter, in fact, than the surface of the sun. Data from spacecraft has shown that plumes of plasma called spicules emanate from the lower atmosphere of the sun. While we'd call most of them pretty hot at tens of thousands of degrees Celsius, those spicules are merely a bit toasty when you compare them to other spicules that register temperatures of at least 1 million to 2 million degrees Celsius (1.8 million to 3.6 million degrees Fahrenheit) [source: Matson]. While these ultra-high heat spicules aren't as common, some scientists believe they occur often enough to heat the corona. Scientists don't know why they form, however.

While the plasma on the sun is the hottest we know of in the natural world, manufactured plasma is much hotter. Several machines called tokamaks create fusion reactions in labs around the world. The ITER tokamak, a fusion machine, is currently under construction in France. ITER, an international coalition of scientists from six countries and the European Union, hopes to use the tokamak to test ideas for fusion energy production. The tokamak will use magnetic forces to heat two hydrogen isotopes to more than 150 million degrees Celsius (about 270 million degrees Fahrenheit)."

Now that's pretty damn high, and if you have two of those going off? Not only would it cause severe damage to the actual part of the station (Depending on what the heat shielding is made out of and how thick it is), and multiply that area of effect by a factor of two? Even some pretty powerful personal shields wouldn't be able to hold up that well to heat and discharge that intense.
Depending on what powered the shield, plasma would've usually disrupted them, since it was two consecutive blasts it also would have been intensely hot, maybe even enough to melt through the armor. On top of this, once it melted through, the armor would be venting atmosphere, and with no breathable air for the aerobic Equestrians, they'd certainly meet a grizzly demise to suffocation.

They should at least be somewhat damaged by the blast. These ain't rocks, son.
I'm seeing a lot of cases, Duck, where your units and soldiers have seemingly impenetrable shields and the abilities to withstand the force of god.

Regardless of how rare these soldiers are, there's still a godmodding/powergaming rule in effect.
It is what it is, but I'd rather you just post your response to the situation. Even if they did make headway to the station a couple of high-yield plasma grenades would still be able to get halt them, get them from behind or detonated on/under them.
