James/NRG - Central Park
James was laying on a bench, looking up at the sky above. He wonder how such a simple could be viewed as beautiful by people. James pondered that for a couple minutes. Then his train of thought was irrupted by large amount of screaming and the crunch of metal. The noise startled him so much that he fell of the bench. He quickly got up and dusted himself off. Then he headed towards the screaming. When James arrived at the scene, two other meta-humans were helping people out of a crushed and flame covered bus. James took off his bag, crouched to carefully set it on the ground, then he removed his shoes and socks. James walked up to the bus and started putting the fire out by flopping down on top of it and rolling around, even if debris was there. Most bystanders if there was any there would think he was putting out the fire with his body, when in truth was absorbing the energy. Some of the debris stabbed into him, which caused to grunt and curse from pain. When NRG was done with the fire that posed the most danger, he stood up. His shirt and pants were burned and damaged severely, he was bleeding from quite a few places, but no burns. NRG removed the bigger pieces of debris in his wounds. After he finished removing the pieces, NRG used the energy absorbed from the fire to activated his regenerative healing. Then he walked up to his bag and shoes. He replaces his shoes and puts his bag on.
NRG - Subway
NRG jumped down the hole created by Boomstick and Templar. He closed his eyes from the pain in his legs caused by the landing, then his knees buckled. NRG stopped himself from face planting with his arms. NRG noticed four people fighting, he was unsure which ones were good or bad. So he took out his experimental battery, and absorbed its charge. Then NRG prepared to fire at the villain(s), which his body dislocated his jaw and his cheeks split in half. His jaw at an unnatural position, and he watched ready to fire when he discover who was/were the villain(s).

He likes the company of technology, more than people. He plays video games and takes apart electronics in his free time. Not the nicest person out there. He is bluntly honest. He hates criminals.
History/Backstory:
James was given up by his parents to an orphanage, when he was born. The orphanage he was sent to was just a front for a children fight club. James was the youngest of seven children at the orphanage, their ages from to newborn to 11, at the time. The children there were treated horribly. The kids were forced to fight each other, which were bet on. James was lucky to survive his baby and toddler years. At the age of five, James was forced to fight, but you couldn't call it a fight because James was fighting one of the oldest kid there. He ended up with bruises all over his body. He and the other orphans went to school, but the person in-charge there was bribed by the people running the fight club. It wasn't until he was eight when he started winning some of the fights. This abuse continued until he was 15, when his powers showed themselves. He had just got in a fight with one of the adults running the fight club. James was winning the fight when the man pulled out a gun and aimed the gun at James's head. James stopped moving, then the man said, "Time for your punishment." and fired the gun. James closed his eyes, then he felt the bullet touch his forehead, and it stopped. When he opened his eyes the bullet had dropped to the floor, and he felt full of energy. The man and others watching ran out of the building, saying something about he's one of them.That day was the only time he was able to absorb kinetic energy. James started path to being a Hero by hunting down people in-charge of the fight club. He started with the man in-charge of the school. He is still hunting them down to this day. James finds no need to hide his identity, since he has nobody that could be leveraged against him. The only reason he uses NRG is because he thinks his real name is boring.

Energy Absorption: The user can absorb energy into their body and use in many ways. They are able to absorb energies that they come in contact with, such as electrical energy, radiation, heat, etc. The palms of the hands are the most efficient way to absorb energy.
Regenerative Healing Factor: The user is able to channel absorbed energy into self-healing, only able to happen when 60% of his body is in one piece.
Self-Sustenance: The user is able to forgo sleep/sustenance by absorbing energy.
Energy Attacks: The user is able to channel absorbed energy into a projectile attack.

@QT: His only way of release power is to fire a project, but that takes time, and in that time more than 40% of his body might be destroyed which would spell out death for him. I can understand your concern.

Most likely or he would have to release it.
If he gets let say punched in the face from the front, then his head will be "pushed" backwards, because a person is applying continuous force, the distance of how far back his head will move depends on the strength of the person. While a bullet, we can say is just one giant blast of energy, so it will stop after its kinetic energy is absorbed.

Personality: Eric doesn't have much of a personality, because he is almost always sleeping. He has a tendency to sleepwalk (and do other things) and attack people, while still being asleep, when they try to wake him. If he is not sleeping, he is eating, or sleep-eating.
