Out of nowhere, aliens known as Chitauri came into our homeworld and mounted an assault, led by the malevolent Loki Laufeyson with the intent of ruling over us. But they were met with a feirce opposition.
Billionaire Industrialist and playboy extraordinare, Tony Stark AKA "The Iron Man", a Norse God with a big ego Thor Odinson, a monstrosity known only as the Hulk, and a legendary war hero once thought dead, Steven "Captain America" Rogers. They, and two master assasins had saved the world, but revealed us to the dark forces of the cosmos.
That was a full year ago.
Since then, Tony Stark has gone into a sort-of retirement, deciding that his love for Pepper Potts is more important.
London was attacked, and it was the epicenter of Malekith the Dark Elf wishing to extinguish our light, but Thor proved that we as a people were not ready to give in so easily, and denied the Asgardian throne to better protect his new home and his new love.
Washington DC saw the resurrgence of HYDRA, only from within SHIELD itself, and thanks to Steven Rogers, their epic plans for world domination were an epic fail, but not without great sacrifice...
Nick Fury is dead. SHIELD is in shambols. There is now a desperate bid for power as the remnants of SHIELD and HYDRA fight over what is left over.
We have never been more vulnerable, and we need our heroes now more than ever.

Powers: James is a mutant with various natural and artificial enhancements to his body
Healing Factor- James has a regenerative healing factor that far surpasses the average human, but extreme force (such as decapitation) can put him down for good. This alone grants him immunity to non mutant toxins and poisons, but if a mutant infects him, then he is just as suseptible as a normal person. A side effect of this is that his aging is greatly slowed down.
Sharp Canine Teeth- James has a set of enhanced canine teeth that enable him to tear things apart like a dog
Bone Claws- James has 3 foot long bone claws that are stored in his forearms and strike out between his knuckles, these claws are as tough as regular bone, but are aburdly sharp on the tips.
Animalistic senses-
1) eyesight- he is capable of perfect sight in total darkness
2) hearing- he can hear a pin drop as if it were right next to his ear, or a person's hearbeat just as clear through a soundproof room
3) smell- he has found that each individual person has their own scent, and can track a 10 year old scent trail
Superhuman stamina- he can exert himself for longer periods because of his healing factor
Biography:
James was born sometime in the 1800's, in Canadian territories to a rich fur trapper and socialite. As a child, he was constantly sick, at least three weeks a year though he was deemed healthy enough to leave home. Sometime around his 15th birthday, a group of savage men invaded his home and advantage of his mother, while a few others beat the crap out of his father. Seething with rage and terror, James went into a beserker rage and popped his claws before slaughtering everyone, but not before his father was killed. Scared for what his mother would think of him, he fled home in his enraged state and into the wilderness.
Captain America: The First Avenger-
In the 1940's James, now an amnesiac calling himself Logan was living in New Jersey, but was drafted into the war, where his military superiors discovered his inhuman nature and bribed him into doing the dirty work of war. He heard rumors of a Captain America from various soldiers, and when the war ended, he was taken by force to Camp Leigh, where the predecessors of SHIELD performed brutal experiments on him, but he managed to escape.
Iron Man-
60 years later, Logan was living above his bar in New York City, known as The Bar With No Name. He watched the press release of Tony Stark's kidnapping and his subsequent reveal of his being Iron Man. It took him awhile to connect the dots and remember that the man's father was one of those who performed on him.
The Incredible Hulk-
A majority of the time, Logan spent managing his bar, learning through tv of the man who died of blood poisoning found in a soda bottle. When Hulk and Emil Blonsky wrecked havok in Harlem, his bar was indirectly wrecked, forcing the mutant into action. He worked evacuation of innocent bystanders before witnessing Hulk's mercy on the Abomination and felt a sort of kinship with the monster.
Iron Man 2-
In the aftermath of the monster fight, Logan spent time re-building his bar in time for the Stark Expo. When Ivan Vanko released the Hammer droids, he spent the night fighting one designed for the military, and after a struggle he gained the upperhand, until it detonated. The entire time, he felt a foreign presence in his head, calling itself Prof X.
Thor- After some persistance from the voice in his head, James travelled to Westchester New York to a mansion, and was greeted by Professor Xavier, a man in a wheelchair who claimed he knew who he really was. At the mansion during his half hearted talks with Xavier, he read a newspaper article about Thor and the Destroyer in New Mexico.
Captain America: The First Avenger- In the time between Thor and Avengers, Logan spent his time learning and getting used to the fact that he was a mutant. Professor Xavier himself was a mutant, and a respectable individual in the field of genetics, and desired Logan's help in creating a sancuary for young mutants or those who felt threatened by societal views.
