The Knights of Songbird: A Bioshock Roleplay

Hey guys, rocketrobie sent me a PM with a pretty good idea enclosed.

If by tomorrow, no one wants to be the "prisoner", then we alter the plot a little bit and make this prisoner an NPC. Therefore, the roleplay would then center on the Knights and their journey in Rapture rather than them following around the prisoner. Bits and pieces will be heard by the Knights from very small tears (similar to in Infinite), and eventually a larger tear will have been left open. And what to all adrenaline-junky-adventure-seekers do? They jump in of course! Obviously this will be more fleshed out, but as I said, rocketrobie presented it to me and I thought it was a pretty good idea, allows for a little more flexibility once in Rapture and more time for the characters to figure out where the hell they are and how the place works. If you were already planning on making the prisoner CS then by all means, continue! This is just an option in the event the role is not filled. What do you guys think?

If anyone feels like taking up the role then just let me know and go for it, otherwise like I said, we will sit on it for 48 hours and I will take on the role. I don't want anyone feeling like they HAVE to do the victim, because that is not true. If it isn't your style, it isn't. We just need it to move on, so I can take care of that. Also, my apologies for the text on the first post disappearing. Asked a friend to get me some headers and I guess they took the cheap way out. If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself...

Thank you! I had a good weekend except for the part where we lost our homecoming game pretty badly... But anywhoo, I thank you all for being patient with me :3 I was trying to post all day yesterday and it wouldn't go through and I realized last night at like 11 that no one had posted in like 13 hours so I had my moment of enlightenment then. If no one takes on the role of the prisoner I will do it myself, so that we may move on to the IC. I'll give it another 48 hours to sit (if we can all be so patient) and then we can begin the IC.

Now, all characters are accepted and I will get the first post updated with them ASAP (as soon as I finish this comp essay).

@Partisan : The Knights are a group which you could equate to somewhere in between the Vox and the Police. While the Police station is corrupted and only carries out necessary duties for the aristocratic and influential of Columbia, the Knights "take care of their own". Shopkeeper having a string of thefts? Knights take care of it. A group of guys want to try to run some organized crime? The Knights shut them down. Issues that the common people know that the police will do nothing about, and yet they are not causing trouble like the Vox.

If you were to make a character, we are still in need of our trapped "volunteer" to escape and come find the Knights. This character will have the ability to open tears as Elizabeth did. If that does not suit your fancy then you may make any character you like, though we already have a little sister, a big sister, and now a big daddy.

Alright, all characters accepted. And this will be taking place in 1912 Columbia (pre-Booker) and 1959 Rapture (pre-fall)

I am going to apologize in advance right now, it is homecoming week at my university so I am very busy and will most likely not be around for around 48 hours. I will get the first post updated with characters on Sunday and we can go from there! If I'm missing anything then poke me and remind me because it's 3 AM and I in all honesty did not read every single post o.o

Yes it will be just like in game where if your character sees a bottle they can go and get it and "change" their vigor/plasmid

Well I mean that the Peeping Tom is used in Rapture as part of Burial at Sea. So you can either keep it as if it were a vigor and add one more in place of sonic boom or replace both.

Your character is accepted, however I will tell you that those plasmids you have down will not be available to your character until the Knights move from Columbia into Rapture. So for now you can pick two vigors and later in the roleplay your character can stumble upon the plasmids and viola!
