Haden Jolendan
Fiore /\ Magnolia /\ Phoenix Wing Guild
Interacting: Jamie, Alexi, (Beatrix Valente)

The master? Well, that made things simpler. "I come in search of Beatrix Valente a dark mage." He produced the documents for her warrants and the rewards. ”My trail has seemed to run out here, and I request permission to search for her within the city.” Haden turned his gaze on the woman with the mug for a moment, offering a smile. ”I also would ask permission to require of your guild members, to see if they have any information on her whereabouts.” He idly slid off a leather boot, shaking a good handful of sand out of it. ”I don’t intend to cause trouble for the city, and this isn’t a hunt and kill mission either. I just need to find and detain her.” Haden leveled his gaze with the guild master as he pulled his boot back on. ”I can see you are busy, so no need to spend time talking to me.” His eyes flicked back to the woman on the ground. ”It is no trouble to ask around the guild myself.” That said, the leather-clad man folded up the warrants again carefully, stowing them back in a pocket. He raised his eyebrows to the guild master expectantly.
<Snipped quote by Zarkun>

I'm certain Damian or Master Jamie could handle her if she went ape-shit (Which she wouldn't)

She is only an archive mage. Not much for fighting.

"And in recent events, two mages slain by an erratic mother and archive mage, who archived their bodies to death."
Dear lord, don't all of you go having problems at once. :p

Momma Carver can only put out one fire a post.

Too bad we have two pyro's in the group ;)
Haden Jolendan
Fiore /\ Magnolia /\ Phoenix Wing Guild

"Where the heck am I?" The man marched through the streets of Magnolia, absentmindedly weaving around people as he attempted to walk and read a map at the same time. His figure stood out as a bit odd, but not all that strange, considering the concentration of mages in the area lately. Tall, armored with layers of darkened leather. And his uncontrollable hair. Curse that hair. It had ruined his last pair of scissors two months ago, and he hadn't tried to cut it since. "Excuse me sir." Haden reached out and put his hand on a random shoulder. The man looked over passively and started. It must have been his hair again. "Could you possibly point me towards Phoenix Wing headquarters?"

The man silently raised a shaky finger and pointed. Haden glanced, and saw the roof of a fairly massive building. He pulled down the dark mask covering his mouth- which released a handful of sand in a puff, the same sand that seemed to leak from the cracks in his light armor every time he moved. Desert travel wasn't kind. "Thanks, hey if-" The other man took off before he could finish the sentence. Oh well. Haden turned and trudged towards the guild. He himself was non-affiliated with any guild, but for this kind of job, it was usually best to consult the local guilds before going to work. He needed information anyway. Haden folded the map, sliding it into a slit in his armor, just under the wrist. He wasn't sure what originally was supposed to fit there, possibly a knife or something, but the sheath was perfect for maps. From a pocket he pulled out the job requests. They were all on the same topic, and fairly straight forward. Capture Beatrix Valente of White Hydra. Some said formerly, whatever. Point being, find her, bring her in, rake in the cash. Quite a trail it had been too, across towns, mountains, deserts. The deserts had been the worst. Anyway, individually, the rewards were intermediate at best, but combined- enough to possibly settle down. Maybe even buy some land near his father, if he could convince himself to stop travelling.

Here it was... Phoenix Wing. It's name preceded it by leagues. From where he stood Haden could see the crowd inside; the doors were wide open. Oddly though, no one crossed the threshold. One man seemed to be reaching through it though to give something to a young woman who was slumped in front of them. His pace slowed a bit, then picked up. He was close enough to see the red of the fluid on the woman's face before she wiped it off, speaking softly to the man on the other side of the door. Haden hesitated, and then approached- forcing his stride to go from hesitant to confident, dominant. "Excuse me." He looked down at the woman, looking her over for a moment. Nothing seemed wrong outwardly- it probably wasn't an emergency then. He faced the other man squarely across the threshold. "Excuse me, I need to speak to the guildmaster here."

It wasn’t the first time he had to make introductions. "My name is Haden Jolendan, independant mage. I would like to request permission and information from the your Master." He grinned towards the end, to lighten the serious sounding nature of the request.
That would make decent shrapnel for a bomb..... >_>
I'm loving how fluent this game is going. Most game's I play in dissolve fast or fail to get off the ground.

I notice it has a lot to do with player interaction, which helps drive character action
Hmmm, can't decide if the table Furnace selects would be the same one you lot are already sitting at or not.

Decided ;)
Kelvin

Well, at least the other guy was going to keep his head on. Mostly. Not that Kelvin had done much better with that passing insult. A scythe? Scouting? Kelvin shook his head. If she had those skills, it was more concerning. What if she was part of a marauder’s crew- luring unsuspecting travelers to the wrong road at the wrong hour. The thought made him shudder. It was just unnatural, for someone with a face like that to be alone in a town like this. Though, in retrospect, it was equally strange for an engineer to be hanging about the area as well. She leaned closer to them, his companion specifically, and murmured towards him, letting her cloak hang open a bit. Whelp. He was done here. Kelvin turned away smartly and sat down at her table, attempting to keep a straight face.

Aren’t you supposed to seduce them before you get what you want, rather than after? Not that he had experience in such things. Ah, Separ was his name. ”It be alright, think nothing of it.” Kelvin didn’t look at either of them, looking pointedly to the side and then jumping, knocked over his chair and falling to the floor beside it. ”What… who is that?!” A strange, whitish childlike creature was sitting on one of the seats beside him. Kelvin spluttered and recovered a bit. ”Ah, hello there… little one.”
Furnace is adorable xD

That, coming from a guy with little sense for cute things
@Kronshi@Kimiyosis Kelvin is facepalming himself into the wall in the background during this.
