in our first rp? shoot, I don't think I remember that one too well;; it's been so long it's strange...
Shuanna watched as Jokatsu began to suddenly wolf his plate unexpectedly and the face he made when the other warriors gave him the stink eye made her burst out laughing. She could relax a little now.
"I like you!" She said smiling with teeth. It was relaxing to know that the shogun was laughing himself and he encouraged her request. The rest of the Men trying to be as respectful as possible quietly sat down at the table in front of her. The shogun continued on with the interest of sake and shuanna remembered that she still had the cup with no handles in her hand. "oh... hmm.. we make our alcohol out of honey and fruits. It is very sweet." After the Shogun said it would be 'rather different' she could stand her curiosity no longer and put the rim of the cup to her nose before putting it to her lips. As the slip melted onto her tongue she had to wince, " oh! .. its.. dry!" As she took another sip to ensure the taste, she blinked at the mention of 'wild wine' "why..? what's wild wine? is it a term for laced drinks..?" She was more appreciative of the fact that they mentioned such a possible dangerous thing to her so that she may avoid it.

Then the formalities game began. Of course they would ask her questions. "well.. " she swallowed as the taste of sake was over taking her throat a little. " In a way im sort of an' ambassador.. but really im just a merchant looking to expand our exports. I've been doing this for.. i'd say 5 years so not very long at all yet. " Her eyes began to trail downwards as she began to think and remember. " I suppose you could say I love discovering new things and adventure really... I've traveled to many places and i've had to learn other languages, even translate on a few occasions. " Shuanna put her cup down and began to eat more of the food laid out for them. "I guess I just like being no-where but still somewhere in this world."
ouch...;; lol I mean.. I agree but can we just give the guy a little more tact? I mean yeah he's not in the IC but he was just trying to clarify something so that we can fully understand what he was trying to convey. It was probably something he felt that he needed to do before leaving.
yes I think so too. Shuanna will do a little trick before they leave but she'll have to ask kyoto to help her do it.
Shuanna nodded and then looked to the individual men who were going to accompany her. "Hello .." She said half timidly to them before looking back to Yatsumaru and begun to eat. Her technique of chopsticks was a little wobbly, but she managed to maneuver them in her hand moderately well. " um- yes! of course... I know it might not seem like I am ill prepared because I .. just have clothes on, but not to worry. " Just then a woman came into the room holding a pitcher, first she served the Shogun and then stood by her. Yatsumaru offered rice wine. Shuanna echoed him, " ...rice wine..? You can make wine from rice?" Now that she thought of it and held her cup to the woman, she had never really partook in...social drinking. "thank you.." She said to the lady and held the cup in her hand. Before taking a drink she gave a curious look and turned to the armored men, her pinkish eyes becoming big with anxiousness. "I hope that.. im not over stepping any boundaries but would it be possible for you gentlemen to eat with me? I thought that maybe it would be good to become acquainted before we leave." Then she gave a slightly worried glance to the shogun, "Would that be alright?"
hope my post was okay;; lol

Ah, alrighty. I just didn't wan't of Xukhezur to be classified outside the scope of medieval high fantasy as a genre.

ooohh I see. No that wasn't my intent
No bar fight in De's wildest dreams could be more disorienting, confusing and utterly destructive as this barrage was. Bodies mingling everywhere, weaving in and out of each other, breaking up the scene of the room. There was shouting in tongues as if he was at some demonic church, screaming and roaring their hymns to death himself. Naturally, beads of sweat flung off his face as he began swinging and forcefully moving large masses of bandits around, purposely causing them to bump into one another and break up any sort of attempt to organize. At this point any sort of leader or commander of the bandits either didn't exist or had already been regarded as a mindless sheep with the rest of the flock. He liked to imagine that. And in this moment of anarchy he liked to think of the group of bandits as sheep on a grassy plain that he must herd into the river to drown.

Although the sight of the tied up hostages reminded him of his true goal with Orion, the one who held the honey blade. Of course he was easy to spot because of it, but it took a little effort to figure where any other hostages were, who are obviously fighting back at this point due to the back and forthed heads of the bandits.
De locked eyes with one of them and for a second it looked as though she was about to attack out of instinct. De braced himself but she was suddenly taken from his gaze to deal with the true enemy. De decided to continue working the room, sweeping Bandits off their feet with his long battle axe but he still had to keep it's length in mind as to not hit any 'non bandits' for now. He did his best to set up the Bandits into the other fighters for easy targets especially for Orion in which he would disable their legs for him so that Orion could make kill moves. For just a moment De returned his eyes back to where the hostages had been and found that the woman who had previously gave him the stare down was on the ground parrying a bandit with her spear. Instinctively De switched his battle axe to his opposite hand and stomped over to the bandit to sweep his arm around the man's torso and essentially throwing him across the room, staggering backward a bit as he did.

I know I'm not a part of the IC anymore as a matter of style, but perhaps I can continue the discussion regarding homunculi, golems and constructs in medieval high fantasy settings... not necessarily that of Kurn. But then, Leonardo didn't have access to magic (or "unobtainium" super substances) which he could have used to animate his creations, as well as conjure servitors and forces to help him fashion more precise parts. In some settings... there exists a history of wizards and spellcasters creating golems and other constructs that he could have drawn from.... including a history of demons employing the services of construct Retrievers for instance.

I just lament leaning to use the "sci-fi" moniker in this case, when only magic was used to provide the creature with its animating energy, and in the use his "mechas"... the ability to manipulate, bend and warp itself and its its own body to fit over another creature. As far as building the construct's body prior to the addition of magic goes, that's on the level of what Leonardo could have probably done... smithing, sculpting, carving, tanning, affixing, fitting adjoining parts.

Here is the Effigy template that reflects Xukhezur's main construct (just for reference)... prior to the magic used to give it my homebrewed mecha subtype, replacing its internal parts with a cavity for its would be occupant, lined with protomatter... the stuff demiplanes are made from, when spellcasters use the Genesis spell.

Of course leonardo didn't have MAGIC. I was just trying to make a point about technology in the general era in which we were rping in.
And your explanation of these things are all well and good, I don't have a problem with these things its just that they didn't fit very well with in the realm of Kurn which was my only concern.
Valken had no idea what they had seen until he heard Ruhdivar get hit in the face and a sudden presence came about. It took flight and Nova gave a roar in reaction. It was understandable and before he could fly off after it, Nova gathered herself up enough to tell him that he can eat Ruhdivar. Valken shook his head, " No time.." And he himself spread his wings and took off after the thing that attacked them. He was able to cover long distances with is portals and even increase his speed with them. In no time he appeared in front of the large demon, able to dodge his meteor attack. Valken landed to prevent the thing from be able to run any further and he spotted the tome on the ground where he had dropped it. it was simple to retrieve, so valken placed a small portal by his feet and another beside the book. All he needed to do was reach into the in put portal by his feet and get the book through the output portal, although now it was a matter of escaping with his life.
