"Funny, huh?" Ravenia said with a quirk of her eyebrow as she looked to Fen with a smile. She turned back to the Russian as he spoke to her. Ravenia's mouth turned up at the side at the Russian's words about something nice to look out. "Careful, comrade, sometimes the prettiest of things can be the deadliest. And don't worry about the little ones. They're locked tight in a room with my finest Warriors standing guard. Nobody goes in or out without my say so." Ravenia replied as she leaned back once again.

She crossed her arms over her chest, not bothering to explain about her darkness threat, and continued on. "I need to know why you traveled across the Red Waste to my Lands, and why you were wounded the way you were." Ravenia stood up slowly as she turned towards a tray off beside the bed. She poured the man a glass of water, placed a straw in it and held it out to him. "I need to know what type of threat my people may face. As Mother, I must protect my children. I must take care of any threat that comes this way. Now if you wanna stay in this nice comfy bed with pretty nurses to look out, you're gonna spill it." Ravenia sat down on the side of the bed, still offering the drink to him. She wasn't scared about being close to him. He would regret it if he tried touching her.
Alura looked carefully around the forest before she moved closer towards the trap. She crouched beside the trap and gently ran her hands over it. "It's human made. You can tell by the crude metal and the way it's been crafted. No fae would use this type of metal." Alura stated as she pointed out the way the prongs had been welded together to the base of the trap. "I heard of something were humans were actually making Halflings part of game. The way they hunted deer or rabbits. You don't think that's what they're trying to do do you? There's rumors of the Halflings village located in this part of the forest, but nobody knows of the exact location. It's scary how close they are to the village." She said softly, so softly that if anybody listening in wouldn't be able to hear her. Only Rhovanor would be able to hear her and that was due to their Elven heritage and their sensitive hearing.

It was due to their hearing that Alura was able to detect the people moving through the forest towards them. Alura knew by the way they crashed about that they were human men. Almost as if she was frightened, Alura threw herself against Rhovanor. She hit him so hard, that she pushed them back behind the closest thicket of trees. "Sorry." She squeaked as she held onto the front of his shirt, listening to the men come closer.

Tank is very intimidating since he stands 6'6" but he's really a big teddy bear. He loves to wrap people up in smothering hugs, whether they like it or not. Known best for his loud laugh that seems to carry for miles and fills a room. Loves to make an entrance by announcing himself. Loudly.
Quick to fly off of the handle, though, when people hurt his friends or says a bad word against somebody he cares about.
:.The Past Was.:
Tank is a natural born Paradise Lander. He was born of the Iron-Root family, the original creaters of the walls. They were also a part of the original Gate Keepers. Many of his ancestors were superb metal manipulators but as the family branched out, the metal abilities died out of his family. Tank and his older sister Flora are the two remaining members of the Iron-Root family. Known best for their bravery, many of his family members perished in battle. So was the way of the Blessed Ones and Warriors, alike. His parents had been no different. Tank and Flora had been 10 and 12 when their parents had been lost in a truly large Dead attack. One of the worst the Paradise Lands had ever seen. It was that time when the Iron-Root siblings had been taken in by Ravenia's father. Having grown up, Ravenia and Tank are very close friends. He even refers to Ravenia as his 'little sister'. Tank had at one time been engaged to a Warrior, but lost her too to a Dead attack. Because of this he fell into a depression that seemed to consume him for some time.

When his sister gave birth to his niece, Emerald, Tank found a new love born inside him.

:.Behind The Scenes.:
None.
I'm soooo sorry guys I've been gone.
My dad has his aortic valve replaced last summer and we thought he had a mini-heart attack or something cause he passed out and my poor little brother (who is only 16) found him when he came home from school.

So me and my other three siblings all made emergency trips home to make sure dad was okay.

Good news, he's fantastic! He just over exerted himself. Needless to say he got an earful from my two older sisters.
xD
Ravenia smiled warmly at the youngest of her Harpies. "Clo, you have nothing to apologize about. We'll talk more later. I would also like for you to only have a half shift tonight. I'll have a few Blessed Ones take over around halfway through your shift, love." Ravenia said and smiled as she watched the girl walk away. She became all business though when she turned to Fen and the Russian. "Afternoon, Fen. I hope you're feeling well after our little adventure today." She stated, genuine concern for her Blessed One as she rested a hand on his shoulder. She smiled warmly at him before turning to look back at the large man on the cot.

She grabbed a chair and pulled it close beside the bed. Leaning back, Ravenia propped her feet up on the edge of the bed. Her eyes looked to his constrained hand momentarily, the shadows around it flickered and the restraint was removed. "Do not take my kindness as weakness, sir. I'm offering you comfort in my Lands. If you threaten me or my people I will not hesitate to let the darkness consume you." Ravenia stated calmly, as she crossed her arms over her chest, making herself comfortable. She didn't feel like explaining herself about the darkness. He would find out if he felt like pushing her. Such a large man casted a long shadow.

"My name is Ravenia, I am Mother of the Paradise Lands. Tell me, outlander, what is your story."

-x-

The towering 6'6" man made his way down the busied streets of Paradise Lands. People parted ways for him. A shorter man, of average height but not comparing to anything the other man stood at, hustled to keep up with him. "I'm sorry, Tank. Mother has the whole town on lock down and we're needing a little more push outside the Gates. She apologizes for cutting your time off short. She said she would make it up to you." The man said between breaths. Tank smiled down at his smaller companion. "Don't worry, bud. I've got my baby niece and she's all I need." Tank's sister, known only as Flora, had been his only family for the longest time. The siblings parents had both been warriors and had been lost many years ago when the siblings were still young. Now, Tank a little bit more than just his sister to fight for and it gave him a renowned vigor.

He strolled quickly towards the wall, getting their much faster than his much shorter companion. He was immediately debriefed by another Blessed One about the events of today. He was a little upset that Ravenia had not called upon him sooner to help with the Dead, but from what he understood everything was taken care of. "Alright, if you're heading out with me, let's roll out!" Tank called out as he stood up in the back of the solar car. The shorter man sliding behind the wheel. Tank was much too big to actually fit inside the solar car. When he saw Ramera walking towards them with her normal serious manner, Tank grinned. "Well, hello hello, Ramera of the Harpies! Will you be gracing us today with your deadly beauty?" Tank slid over and nodded for the girl to stand beside him since he knew she too wouldn't fit due to her deadly wings.
@Trillion: He will be a protagonist!
Alura smiled warmly to Rhovanor as he popped the berries into his mouth. "Oh, yes, this place is quite peaceful. The Halflings are definitely a very calm people. The centaurs were loud and boisterous, but always so humerous." Alura chuckled as she thought back to the time she had spent in the previous village. "When I had passed through the city to provide my abilities to an Elder that had grown weak from fever, everything seemed quite calm. There had been a recent harvesting season and many people said it had been one of the best they have had in many years." Alura recalled as she thought back to her other travels.

She blushed when Rhovanor spoke about the beautiful things he had seen and looked to her. "You flatter me, Rhovanor." She spoke gently and move down through the forest. She stopped though when she saw a trap set up more than twenty feet before them. She picked up a rock and nailed the trap with deadly accuracy, activating it. It snapped shut a deadly clamp crafted of crude metal and sharpened spikes. "My, that's the strangest Halfling trap I've ever seen." Alura growled sarcastically. Her beautiful face no longer sweet but a dark light held behind her eyes.
So guys, I've decided to create a second character by the name of Tank.

I need a little more thought into him but I should have him up fairly soon!
Ravenia smiled at Tobias's gentle touch as he wrapped her up. She almost jumped though when Clo came crashing in. As the winged-girl crouched by Ravenia's side, she smiled at the worry on her face. "Clo, I'm so glad you're awake. I was just getting ready to come check on you." Ravenia said as she smiled at the younger girl warmly, cupping the girl's cheek. "My, you've only been out for a few hours, but not to worry, everything is okay. We took care of the Dead. It got a little hot out there, and I got a little burned. Don't listen to Tobias, he did a fantastic job. My wounds were nobody else's fault but my own." Ravenia said, smiling affectionately up at Tobias. When he released her hand, Ravenia wished he would come back and hold it again. It was when he said something about the children that she became serious. Now was not the time to be acting like a love-struck teenaged girl. But he definitely did something to her. She hadn't felt like this in some time. As he left, Ravenia couldn't help but watch after them. "Clo, I think I'm falling in love with that man." Mother whispered gently to the girl, and winked. Standing up and stretching her sore body, Ravenia nodded to Clo. "Come along, my little bird. Let's go make the rounds, hmm? Also, let's get some food. I'm famished."

Mother walked towards the door and leaned against momentarily as she looked about the room. She thought about the pre-date medication that Tobias talked about that was missing. She looked to the room the children were in and walked across the hall to it. Pulling the blinds down gently on the door, Ravenia peered in at the kids. They were just sitting there, minding their own business. Ravenia stopped the nurse that walked by, taking her keys and locked the door. "Nobody is to go in or out of this room under any circumstances. Only myself or Tobias are allowed in. The key will stay with you, but if I find anybody else has gone in here, I'll know who to come after. Got it?" Ravenia said, quirking an eyebrow at the much shorter woman. "Yes, Mother." The nurse squeaked and bustled off. Ravenia wasn't much of fan of playing the hard ass, but sometimes it was needed. She looked back to Clo and winked. Just as she was about to say something, two men can rushing around the corner. Two of her warriors.

"Mother! A yellow flare just flew up, a bit of a ways down the river. There's only one problem, we don't have a search party out today. Not since you put us on lock down. It's getting too dark, if we don't get out someone now we won't be able to track the flare." The man rushed. Mother nodded. "Go get Tank, tell him to grab one other and head out after the flare. I want Two Blessed Ones, and you to go out in a solar car and inspect the flare. I want you strapped to the teeth in weapons though. There's something going on and I can't afford to lose anybody. But you, I want you to stay here and guard this door. The little nurse by the name of Ima has the key. Only Tobias and myself are allowed in and out of this room. Do I make myself clear?" Ravenia barked, the two men nodded. The first Warrior, took off to go find one of Paradise Land's fiercest warriors. Tank was just that, a Tank, but he was a new uncle and Ravenia had given him a leave to celebrate the glorious time. She hate to cut it short, but she needed some muscle out there. The second man, immediately stood at the ready.

"C'mon, babe. I need you to meet the Russian with me. After that we'll get us some food and I need to make my rounds. When I do that, I'd like for you to go get some more rest." Ravenia said, nodding down towards the hallway to where one of the newest (however, unwelcome he was) members of their Lands.
