Yeah, Coasties do some pretty cool shit. If you're not into rescuing people, they have jobs that involve blasting drug smugglers with .50 caliber rifles (from a helicopter) or finding and sinking narco-submarines. Plus, unless you're DOG you're not spending a year in buttfuck Afghanistan.

I'm still waiting for the Army and Navy to get back to me about their SSEs. Air Force has "waitlisted" me for theirs, but deemed me competitive for the actual application.

All of these jobs in the Air Force look either "meh" (who wants to be a finance officer?) or "totally sweet but I could never get in" (pilot or PJ/CRO officer.) However, USAFA deems me a competitive applicant so there's that.
