She didn't bother making anymore comments about it, the more she thought about him the more she wanted to run and cry in his arms for hours and ask the same questions she did as a child. 'Where did she come from?' 'Did she have a mother and father?' 'Is life even fair?' She got up abruptly as tears formed on her face. "Sorry, I am getting cold. See you later." She could feel herself calling for Alex in her head as she quickly climbed off the roof, wiping her eyes at the bottom and began to wander the halls, but being alone with her own thoughts usually wasn't a great idea.

She sat at the edge and pulled her knees to her chest. "He's been all I've ever known, he is mystical but his whole life has been lived because of me.. He took care of me from the very beginning. He's protected me but also has let me learn from my mistakes." She placed her chin on her knees until he asked to learn more about her. She bit her lip and turned to him. "Well.. the problem is. When I enter another vortex I usually only remember glimpses of the old place, and I never interacted with other planets. I just wandered." She looked up. "But it's not just wandering, you learn. You learn about what it means to be a soul, what a soul can circumference to, but when I land on earth it's as if people have forgotten how strong a soul is and when you neglect it, that's what creates darkness." She had to think hard about herself, which made her wish Alex was there to name everything she was, he knew her better than herself. "I love music, I love to sing." She stopped and thought harder. "I got really good at throwing knives but it's not very lady like." She laughed. "I don't really have a life to tell." She frowned.

Nyx stomach twisted and her chest tightened. A home? A family? She didn't have anything like that, she didn't even know where she had come from or who had made her. She just woke up one day, in her simplest form and by instinct she traveled wherever she could go. It wasn't until she found earth did she even learn about families, and what a home is. She took a deep breath. "The only person I've known my whole life is Alex, he's the only family I have which is why I returned, so I guess this is my home, or he is my home." She looked at him with saddened eyes, not that she didn't love Alex and regrets anything, but she wondered if she ever had a mother or a father, and if they wondered where she was. But each time she thought about it her heart broke, but she avoided eye contact.

She didn't know how to react to him grabbing her hand, maybe it was just to help her up in which she pulled away once they were out in the hall way but made sure to do it without being too obvious. "It's this way." She pointed down the hall way and quickly began to job to the open boiler room where the door had been kicked out. "I think they know we sneak out, as long as we don't do anything stupid I think they are okay with it." She said as she crawled up the ladder and out to the roof, the sun was in the middle of setting leaving the moon visible. "This is my favorite, when night starts." She spread her arms out and enjoyed it's power.
