Terrible post... but at least I posted
Ellie was too busy quaking in her boots at the conflict, trying to figure out what the hell was going on, to notice the smile on Yua's face. Her fight/flight instincts were screaming at her and she just wanted away from that place right that moment and it was taking every bit of willpower she had to stay there with her, at least she hoped, new friend. She warily watches the boys head up towards the school and releases a relieved sigh, still rather tense, but glad that the conflict had now passed. She wasn't really paying attention to what was going on around her, and actually released a slight yelp of surprise as she felt herself suddenly off balance, reflexively letting go of Yua's arm as she tries to regain her balance.

Once she's steady on her feet she looks around, slightly baffled. What just happened? It took a moment for her to notice Yua on the ground, and she gasps worriedly, -Oh gods, she tripped and I just let her fall, I should have tried to catch her. What is wrong with me? what kind of friend would just let go and let her fall?- she mentally berated herself as she scurried around the Luggage and took Yua's hand, trying to pull her to her feet, "I'm sorry I'm sorry I didn' mean to let go!" she apologizes worriedly as she scurries around to try to pick up the luggage that Yua probably knocked over when she tripped over it

Well Two of his tagged skills are Survival and Guns. But really I haven't thought of that yet.And when you mean Tex... Tex from red vs blue?

Dallas Texas maybe...?
The mutant bit... I'm not sure if it was decided to be cannon or not, but apparently during the Brotherhood's expansion to the east there was a crashed vertibird in the midwest-ish area... They apparently accepted even super mutants into their ranks because they were so few in numbers... (was reading the fallout wiki's brotherhood article when I read that bit)

That explanation sounded like absolute shit but... yea... the remnants of the master's army supposedly spread east too... But it seems that those in DC had no affiliation with the master, as they have barely a fraction of his intelligence, and the FEV seems far less stable (leading to even more mutation over time causing behemoths and the like which aren't even mentioned out west)

Also... I just have to point out this minor plot hole... >.>

the power stations ONLY power the rails in an eastern direction? meaning that this quest could ONLY be done like this from the west coast starting in New Vegas? we couldn't start in say... Philly and propel the thing to Pittsburgh and then so on?

Sorry just had to point that out... I kept tripping in that plothole and I think I twisted my ankle... had to bitch about it a little <.<
I say green because I already have 20 years of history written up for The Pitt, ideas thought up for Ashur's response to a random group of people showing up on his doorstep, a personality and some ideas set up for Marie... And a bunch of other shit that I don't want to risk going to waste >.>
*Is still waiting for Scrap to answer her curious questions...*
It's your post

In my personal opinion, -post that's waaaaaaaaaayyyy too long to quote but the quote-r feels it deserves a response- ... let it pass.

Have you ever played Call of Cthulhu? So far out of every game I've played to date their character generation is probably the most realistic. when it starts out, the best your character's stats can be is above average (scale of 1-18, strength would be 1ly child, 18urally beefy) Then you can choose some skills that they're naturally really good at. (Big ass point system that I really dont feel like writing much up about right now)

As you go along, every time you do something, you have a chance of increasing that stat. Rather than "Oh hey you leveled up, you can have this many points to increase whatever the hell you want" You have to actually WORK on your attributes. If you're playing in the medieval period and have an axe and start hacking through a horde of snake-people, well first off you're fucked because those snake people are horrifying and a bitch to kill (Personal experience >.> fuckers poisoned me and I was dead by the next sesion >.< Call of cthulhu is about as fatal as Dark Souls. It's not a question of IF you die, it's when and how you die) and second, as you use your axe you have a chance of getting better.

Your base stats are your % that you'll succeed. Once you hit 100% in a stat you can continue to increase the skill and it gives you the option of doing special stuff, or you can attack multiple times.

Well when discussion gets to the point someone's writing long dissertations on an ultimately menial thing: you know it's going too far.

No, that's when the conversation gets fun.

So, NCR Rangers are this universe's version of a "Chuck Norris" joke, only more real?

Except they actually DO have a fist under their beards.
