Height: 187.96 cm (6’ 2”)
Weight: 18.1 kg (40 pounds) -> See Species/Race

Name: Yutaka (豊) Ito (糸 – Note: His family name literally means “string” or “thread”.)

Age: 189 (From the time he was made –see Species/Race-, but he’s only been around for as a proper Tsukumogami for about 41 years.)

Gender: Male

Species/Race: Tsukumogami (付喪神)

Powers:
Original Form – He can revert into his original form which is, yes, a male kimono. Yutaka would be able to converse with whoever wears him (even just being draped over their shoulders counts) directly through their mind. He retains all his other abilities, but it’s quite difficult to move around on his own in this state. This is useful because… Uh… He can get transportation and watch movies for free. xD

Inhumane Body – Yutaka is a lot faster than people would think. Strength-wise he’s about the level of a highly fit and trained human, but his speed goes beyond that. But the trick to his swiftness lies in a sort of ‘burst acceleration’, so he loses any advantage of this over long distances. Also, despite having a human form he actually ‘perceives’ the world through his entire body instead of just through specific parts. This means he can still see around him even if his eyes are covered, and hear even if his ears are completely blocked off. He does have a wider range of vision than normal humans, being able to see beside him without turning, but it is not 360 degrees and he cannot see things coming from behind him.
He also does not bleed or have a real ‘vital point’, so the only way to finish him off would be to destroy him completely. Yutaka can also repair himself using string and needles (or other pieces of fabric if needed). He does not eat, sleep, or feel fatigue (he feels pain and such just fine though).

‘Strengthening’ – He can ‘strengthen’ or ‘harden’ any sort of string or cloth. This means any piece of clothing he wears can act as armor, a simple scarf can become a blunt weapon (or even something like a spear if it’s shaped into a point), and a piece of string can become like a sharp piece of wire. Requires direct contact to use.

Cloth manipulation – He can manipulate cloth or string from afar to move around as though with telekinesis. If he can see it, he can manipulate it. Without any direct contact though, it’s only making the string/cloth move around and the objects do not gain any additional properties.

Master Tailor – Not really a 'power' really, but he's very good at sewing and the like.

Weaknesses:
Fire – Self-explanatory. Don’t. Even. Think about it.

Grape juice, red wine, mustard, etc… – Basically, things that are known to stain fabric. This doesn’t actually really affect him per se (especially in his ‘human form’), but he absolutely detests these sort of things.

Light weight – His attacks hurt because of the speed and acceleration he puts behind it, but it doesn’t change the fact he is very light. Without proper momentum he can’t get a decent amount of power behind his attacks, and obviously the laws of physics dictates that the lighter one would be blown away in a full-frontal exchange of blows.

Inhumane Body – Unlike real living creatures, he cannot heal on his own over time. He needs to repair himself, or have someone else repair him. This also means a lot of ‘healing’ magic or powers will also be unable to help him, unless the ability extends to mending of inanimate objects.
And though he hides and compensates for this by 'strengthening' his clothes, his body is actually more fragile than a normal human's. Especially against sharp objects (blunt attacks actually don't work as well, but it does still affect him in his human form).

Personality: A warm person overall and... Very scatterbrained. He has a terrible of habit of forgetting what he was doing or where he was going when he's distracted, forgets where he put his belongings, and is often late to his own classes because he forgot his own schedule. You wouldn't know it at first, because he seems like a normal, capable person when he's talking or especially when he's sewing. He's also a big hoarder and can't seem to throw anything away. He does get his act together when it's really needed... Temporarily.

Background: Being a fairly ordinary men’s kimono for commoners, he remained unnoticed at his maker’s store for around 7 years. He was eventually sold for a very cheap price to a hardworking, but poor, farmer and soon became a hand-me-down clothing among the sons in the financially troubled family. Eventually he became too worn and tattered to be presentable enough to wear in public. At this point most people would have simply thrown him away or cut him up to be turned into rags, but fortune was with him. He was kept around with that family as a sort of keepsake and for the fond memories.

After some time, he did end up being sold to a second-hand store where he was repaired enough to be considered ‘decent’ to look at, but not many were interested in such an old piece of clothing. A young foreigner bought him as a cheap souvenir and wore him every so often as something comfortable to have on around in the house. As this man (named John) began to grow old and frail, Yutaka gained a spirit of his own and began conscious of himself and his surroundings. After 5 years of gaining this consciousness, he was finally able to take on a human form of his own and converse with his owner. Already having advanced well into his years, Yutaka’s time with John as a real Tsukumogami was short compared to all the memories he had as an inanimate object, but irreplaceable. Not having any children of his own, John treated Yutaka like a son and taught him about the ways of the world.

Many years later, he was alone in the home left to him after John’s passing. Not needing any food, water, or electricity to sustain his life the money John left to him was probably more than enough to let him continue living without a care in the world. However, he was lonely. He eventually found his way to Athalia’s Academy and became a teacher there. Though he has a lot to learn himself, he certainly enjoys being a teacher and the chance to get to meet so many different people.

Study: He is not a student. Yutaka teaches History and Home Economics (A class on sewing and other fabric work, some theories on family and child development, etc... Not cooking though.), and can sometimes be found in the library for extra help.

Other: He just likes masks. The 'fox mask' in the image is his favourite, but he can be seen wearing a variety of different masks according to his mood and some of them look quite ridiculous. Apparently he considers it like a sort of protective charm, though against what he hasn't quite said to anyone.

Five. Since the rule changed, thought I should show that I read it again. xP
– Leroy

“We’re already here. I’ll finish the job, no worries.” Giving Oona smile, Leroy lifted the canvas back up and headed for the house Oona had pointed to. Without needing a lead now, he walked over to the place on his own and propped the painting up against the wall.

He gave the painting a quick glance over. It had been decently done (for him), and he had successfully transported it without smudging anything. “Good, good.” He nodded to himself, satisfied for the moment. Turning back to Oona he asked, “Now… This is the part where I’m going to ask if I should wait for you to put this away, leave so you can get some rest, or help you carry all the way into your house.” Winking Leroy added, “If you don’t mind inviting a guy you’ve met for the first time inside that is.”
– Kathy

Kathy laughed again when she saw Crash stroke his non-existent beard. “Would that be my cue to say, ‘I wouldn’t do that if I were you?’” However, she was inclined to agree. “I do wonder what else he’s got though. With how prepared Mr. Lovelock is, it almost seems like a pity if the other students don’t try making a few out-of-place orders themselves.”

After stating the options, she looked carefully to see how Crash was reacting, hoping that she wasn’t making him feel the need to rush if he wanted to stay a bit longer. The odd thing was, she saw him grinning happily to himself as he seemed to be musing over something. ‘Er… At least it’s not a negative reaction?’ She thought, more than just a little confused at his expression. She would have expected a nod, a slight shake of his head, or a slightly troubled expression if he was weighing the options. A grin was a little out of context for her. Again she just repeated to herself, ‘At least it’s not a negative reaction.’

Kathy’s confusion returned after she finished her sentence about wanting her own cheeky moments. For some reason, Crash was looking around the bar with a rather look on his face like he expected to find something odd there. ‘Geeze, you really are a busy guy. Just what’s going through your head this time Crash?’ She wondered, wearing a faint and fond smile. “You know it takes an awful lot to embarrass me. But I can’t argue with that.” She dismissed the first comment with a slight wave of her hand. “I’ll find ways. Or rather, I’ll have someone teach me about that.” With Mercy in mind, she made an evil chuckle under her breath.

She had to admit it was a little worrying if Crash was actually going to take it as a challenge. He had a very clear advantage so far and seemed to know how to get her cheeks flushing while she didn’t really know where to begin. Knowing and planning to talk to Mercy was a start, but she didn’t actually have a real plan of her own yet. “Thank you Mr. Lovelock.” Thanking the teacher as well, she followed behind Crash as he left the bar. “Th-That’s not to say you should try harder to be evil, okay?” She tacked on, obviously a little nervous at the thought. Kathy was pretty much admitting that she didn’t really have the confidence to win at this point, but why pretend when it was probably obvious to both parties from the start?

Sitting down in the seat across from where Crash was, she reached over and lifted the bowls from the tray. She smiled, “I haven’t eaten these since I was just a little girl.” Placing one bowl in front of him and one in front of herself, she glanced over at the pool that was visible from afar. Remembering something, she looked at Crash with expectant eyes. “By the way, so I ended up telling you one thing about myself.” Kathy gestured over to him with an open palm. “You need to tell me something about yourself now.”
racoonman said @Theobromine no, not at that range of temperatures, I was just worried that it could be used to instantly third degree burn anyone who came near you haha. But it sounds well balanced, no need to worry about exact ranges!

Hahaha, they'd have to be standing pretty still and have skin + muscle as thin as paper. I'll be sure to add that extra information into my CS to make things clear.

EDIT: Added that info to my CS.
Morning/Afternoon/Anything else all! :D
racoonman said @Theobromine you're character rocks, and you're basically accepted, but can I just ask, how high temperatures are we talking about for water cauldron, and how long can she keep water cauldron active for?

I don't have an exact range of numbers but I would compare it to the temperatures of a bunsen burner (would take time to reach very high temperatures though, probably practical up to about 212 degrees F or 100 degrees C in combat)? And to be honest, I haven't thought about time limits for this ability since I haven't seen transmuters in the series show any particular discomfort or time limit when using their abilities. Do I need to set a time limit for this?
Ngggh.... Sorry, that's all the IC I could squeeze out of me right now. I just wanted to somehow get my post done before I fell asleep so... @_@; I'll check for anything I missed and other errors in the morning. G'night everyone. I'll also my have my next CS done by tomorrow too. xD
– Leroy

“I didn’t really read the original tale,” Leroy admitted, “But sounds like the father was threatened right? Isn’t that pretty much kidnapping anyway?” Leroy smiled at Oona’s enthusiasm. She seemed to really like discussing fairy tales. To her comment about acting over-excited, he shook his head and said, “That’s fine. A vacation’s no fun if you’re not allowed to get excited every so often, just enjoy yourself.”

"I think we're almost there, do you think you'll have fun on this vacation?" To this, Leroy gave her a very big smile full of confidence. “Absolutely. You?” They were able to get to the residentially area without much trouble, though Leroy’s arms were getting a bit tired from holding the large canvas up for so long. Putting it down for a second he pointed at the houses and asked Oona, “So, which one’s yours?”
– Kathy

She heard another pair of footsteps draw closer, but she couldn’t bring herself to see who it was. "You know, if you're too hot here, the bedroom huts have air conditioning." Kathy peeked for just a second to see Matt crouched near her. “Th-Thank you… I’ll be fine though, really.” She probably didn’t seem all the convincing at the moment. She took another deep breath in. ‘Okay, that’s enough. It’s time to get yourself together. You’ll get up, in just 5 more seconds. 5… 4…’

Hearing the strange question and Crash’s chuckle, Kathy lifted her head from her defensive position and looked up to see that he seemed rather amused by something. “?” Curious, she slowly got back up as Crash called out to the back, “Mr Lovelock! Erm slight confusion on the order over here...Fruit Loops as in the drink, not the cereal” She blinked. ‘Cereal?’ Looking at the counter, she saw that there were indeed 2 bowls of filled with colourful cereal in milk. Kathy also ended up laughing at the unexpected situation. “I’m surprised he even had these.” Her cheeks were still a little pink, but having had a bit of time and with the prime perpetrators gone, she was feeling quite a bit better. She considered for a moment if they should stay to either get proper drinks or eat the cereal but… ‘I’d rather leave soon though.’ She thought, frowning a little. Watching Crash poke at the cereal with his spoon, she told him, “I don’t mind. We could take them over to the restaurant to sit down and eat or… I can wait a bit longer if you’d rather have Mr. Lovelock to re-do your order.”

She sighed out in relief, glad the whole ordeal seemed to be over. Turning away from the bar, she leaned back against the counter and stared forward in a general direction. “Um…” Kathy fidgeted, clasping and unclasping her hands in front of her. After a small pause, she gave a small chuckle, “You probably wish you never noticed what Mr. Lovelock meant, don’t you? But… It’s not fair if I’m the only one getting embarrassed all the time. So I’m not going to apologize this time for roping you into this. Even I want to have my cheeky moment at times.” Technically it hadn’t been on purpose, and the brown-haired student (Ara) from before was probably the one that really made it sink in for Crash, but she was purposely trying to show that it didn’t bother her anymore. Much. Not in the bad sense anyway. “And it begins now, in case you didn’t notice.”
– Ara (A)

"I wonder if they'll ask me to be a bridesmaid. I'll only accept if I still get to wear my hat." Ara’s grin widened. It was always more interesting to have an accomplice involved. With a wink he told her, “Wear it. I guarantee you’ll make a stronger impression than any of the other bridesmaids.” He had a very hard time stifling his laughter at the teacher’s (Nikola) remark. Apparently he had allies everywhere. On the other hand, the red-haired pair probably saw nothing but enemies. ‘These two are great. Their reactions are so animated I doubt I’d ever get bored of this.’

He had been so obviously trying to elicit a much bigger response, Ara had to admit he felt a little impressed that the guy (Crash) had not tried to punch him or something after his last comment. ‘I would’ve done it.’ He thought, nodding to himself. ‘Right in the jaw or neck to make sure not another word would come out.’

Hearing Carmen comment on how amusing it had been, he chuckled, “Yeah. I almost feel bad about how easy it was. Then again, honestly, that kind of teasing was only at the level of elementary children.” He was basically admitting that he had been acting childish, but perhaps that’s what made it all the more amusing for him. Chucking he added, “But I’ll be sure to hold myself back if a ceremony really happens someday. Wouldn’t want them getting that flustered during something that special. Though I doubt I’d be invited after all that. Sneak me in under that hat or something will you?”

Then thinking about it for a moment he told Carmen, “Actually, I have no idea. I didn’t even really bother checking to see what they had on the island. Anywhere you wanna go?”
Driving Park said Lol @ Mario Mercedes commercial.Do I sense a traditional RPG occurring in the OOC of our non-traditional RPG? :PAlso, I feel bad for Crash and Kathy :P

Yup. xD Be sure to collect some XP from now on!
I would've poked even further if I could make it more amusing. Er, I mean... Yeah, me too.

I wanna introduce Clarisse already... :/

Do it! Ah, well, after you get accepted of course. HylianRose didn't get a chance to look at it did she?
FaithsRose said @NarayanK........cereal? O.o How could he come to that conclusion in a bar on a tropical island? xD I'm not sure whether it's comedic genius or not :P

It makes him a genius either way. ;P If he did it unintentionally, he's so genius that he doesn't need a conscious plan to make a hilarious scenario.
NarayanK said -gives Theobromine a very handsome smile-

-Blinks.- I am split between smiling back, and giving a rather fancy drop kick. Hmm...
Hahahahahaha! I have no idea why, but when I read that the CEREAL came out IC I started laughing so hard!! xDD The cereal! Fruit Loops cereal at a bar! -Still laughing-

ADDED: No, seriously. I'm not sure why I found that so funny. >_>; Maybe it's like an amplified feeling of nostalgia from the whole cereal talk we had a while back? Lol.
