- Vee

Vee was enjoying a leisurely walk around the village, still trying to get used to where everyone and everything was. It was strange how she found it easier to find things in a forest than in an organized village like this one. Then again, a lot of scents were mixed in all over the place, except at private nests. Her ears perked up at the sound of someone’s else’s pitter patter of feet. ‘Hm. At least one person likes to remain active around here.’

For a while she just watched the young pup run around, then start playing off on his own while getting his fur dirty and matted. With an amused smile, Vee went up to Rin and greeted, “Morning. I see someone managed to sneak out of the nest today.”

Then giving off a light chuckle she continued, “Now you’ve got 3 choices.” She sat in front of Rin with her tail swishing back and forth with mischievous energy. “One, you can go back to Beast’s nest on your own. Two, I can take you back to Beast’s nest against your will. Or three… You can bribe me to look the other way. What’ll it be?”

How many spots are still left?

Should still be 3. Two if you're gonna be a taker. :P

Name: Vee

Gender: StarshipFemale

Age: ? (Seems to be around 18-20)

Defining Features: Has a large scar around the base of her left ear.

History: Vee is fairly new to the village. She used to be a middle cub/pup(?) in a litter of 5 living in the wild before she found her way to Pharros. Her cuddly appearance hides the vast amount of knowledge and experience she has had living in the wild.

Other: Vee will be evolving soon. But as what remains unknown.

Oh and... Arceus is GOD. XD

A post from my behalf. I will generally be offline for not three, but I am sorry for giving you all misinformative details through Triple A, as I had not expected more business to attend.I will not be roleplaying for around two weeks if I do not feel well after this long absence. Once again, I am sorry. Sometimes, we just need to spend some time comforting those who lost their loved ones.-NK-

D: Yeah. Take all the time you need NK. Hope you feel better soon, and we'll see you in 1 or 2 weeks.

Kathy blushed as well at his request. “O-Oh, sure… I don’t mind.” She made a mental note to hide away any and all photos she wouldn’t want Crash to look at. She personally couldn’t remember any that was really worth hiding away but… ‘I shouldn’t let my guard down. Just because I don’t remember it doesn’t mean I don’t have one or two embarrassing moments captured on camera.’ Then aloud she told him, “Let me know when you want to come by and make the trade.”

Throughout their little game, she held his picture in her hand by the edge, not wanting to let it crumple inside of her pocket. Now as much as she liked to see a variety of emotions on Crash’s expression, his smug look was one that made her feel a little competitive. Somehow she didn’t quite like the feeling that everything was all according to his plan or something. She wasn’t entirely sure if he even had one with such a simple game, but that was just the feeling she got. It quickly went away though as they continued to make plans for their future date. Smiling she nodded, “Sounds good to me.” Then after a small thoughtful pause she asked, “Want me to make some sweet popcorn? Let me know what you like or if you have any allergies, and I’ll be happy to accept custom orders.”

Several answers Crash gave her stuck inside of her mind. Things such as his preference between sweet, salty, or savory and his shoe size was knowledge to keep in mind ‘just in case’ but other things stood out for different reasons. For example, Tinkerbell? Disney’s fluttery-winged fairy in a green dress? That was quite an unexpected answer and she expected an interesting background story to go along with it. Actually, there was something she was interested in even more than just hearing the tale behind it. ‘Would he change into that form if I asked him to?’ Kathy wondered. ‘I didn’t think he could change into fictional characters as well. That’s quite amazing really.’

The riddle had apparently been too simple, since he got the answer right away despite the shrug he gave. The number of phones he had gone through was actually not as many as she would have guessed (she had been thinking something in the double digits), though that was probably good news from Crash’s end. And she couldn’t help but smile broadly at his answer about the first memory he had of her. First of all, it seemed he had a certain amount of fondness for that memory as well. But also, she felt a little smug knowing that her memory of him went back a little more. ‘It’s just one more event but… It counts.’ Kathy let out a small chuckle at her recollection, allowing Crash to finish up his answer despite going over the time limit. With the final answer, she also commented with a small laugh, “Really? Wow, so Christmas sweaters made by Grandmothers are actually a real thing?” She could already imagine it. Crash wearing an over-sized hand-knit sweater trying to keep a smile on despite the grimace he had because of how itchy the present felt.

She was honestly surprised to hear him talk about his parents. Kathy hadn’t exactly made her actions subtle when she looked at the picture, but she hadn’t expected him to talk about it of his own accord. ‘Is there anything I can say to that..?’ Kathy knew the usual phrases like, ‘I’m sorry to hear that,’ or ‘oh you have my condolences,’ not none of them sounded sincere enough and didn’t quite encompass what she wanted to say anyway. And moreover, being able to smile so realistically with the recollection seemed incredibly… Lonely. She didn’t think a year was really enough to get over something so tragic. But… ‘Crash is doing his best not to drag the mood down, so I can’t be the one to waste his efforts here.’ So instead of trying to extend her sympathy, she just smiled and told him, “Thanks for telling me.”

Now she still felt irritated about something, but for now she decided to address his question. “What about dinner? If I recall, I don’t think you’ve had anything to eat since that bowl of cereal right?” Then looking at the photo in her hand she added, “I want to get changed out of my gym clothes and put this away in my room as well.” As she waited for his reply, her irritation ended up winning out. Unable to resist, Kathy flicked his forehead again, this time putting quite a bit of force behind it on purpose. “… You may be older than me, but you’re still an idiot.” She muttered solemnly, then making a quick change of mood herself she continued with a bright smile, “Come on then. Unless you have any other ideas, let’s get a move on.”
– Kathy

“Thank you. I’ll take good care of it, I promise.” Obviously elated to have the photo, Kathy smiled warmly at Crash and looked at the photo once more. Laughing she asked, “Do you have an ‘after’ photo to go along with this?” She was teasing him, but was partially being serious about the inquiry. Her curiosity had been piqued and she wanted to see what kind of vandalism had been put on his face now. Nodding she prepared for the first round of questions, feeling a bit nervous about the mischievous look the shapeshifter was sporting.

Then hearing the first question, she was caught completely off-guard by it. She wasn’t sure what she would have been expecting really, but that question was certain not one she would have expected by a long shot. “Er…” Remembering the rules, she quickly thought of something and answered, “Crash in disguise.” Then hearing the next question she thought, ‘Oh, already?’ Apparently 10 seconds went by pretty quickly when you needed it. “S-Sweet.” This time she ended up rushing her answer and didn’t even use up more than a couple of seconds. Catching Crash’s smile with the 3rd question she smiled and replied, “A cat.” The next one, however, was quite difficult and she wasn’t entirely sure it was a fair question to ask with just 10 seconds on the clock. However, just before her time was up she answered, “Living.” Normally she would have answered ‘life itself’, but that was 2 words so she had to make with a substitute. As if being able to read his thoughts when he asked the question about the 3 different articles to wear, Kathy raised her hand up and attempted to flick Crash’s forehead. “Knitted reindeer sweater.” She poked the tip of her tongue out at him, not admitting that she actually had one left somewhere in her dorm room for the winter season. “Mario.” Raising her brow, she gave him a quizzical look at that one before moving on to answer the next. “Maybe…” She also smiled at the last question. “50 first dates.”

Noticing his distraction, Kathy peeked over at the photo he had in his hand. She instantly guessed that they were his parents. The woman especially seemed to resemble Crash greatly. She opened her mouth to ask about them, but stopped as she recalled something. ‘Mercy… Gave him a place to go when he needed it right..?’ That was odd, no matter how she thought about it. Having some form of trouble with parents, be it personal issues or actually losing them altogether, it wasn’t exactly an uncommon story in Athalia Academy so… She closed her mouth and decided not to ask about it.

Instead, she decided to focus on coming up with some questions for Crash to answer. “Let’s see…” Kathy smiled and began, “Alright. First question: sweet, salty, or savory?” Kathy was trying to be fair and keep track of 10 seconds between each question, but she didn’t exactly have the best sense of time so she was fairly certain she was going a little too fast or slow at times. “What’s the first thing you do in the morning?” Having finished helping him unpack, she joined him at the edge of the bed. There was space for about one more person between them as she looked up at him and continued her line of questions. “Strangest form you’ve ever shifted into?” Kathy accidentally waited far longer than 10 seconds after that question, already having trouble thinking up stuff to ask him. In reality she had quite a few questions she would’ve wanted him to answer, but something that could be answered in just 10 seconds and appropriately light for the mood right now were requirements she had to think about. “Oh, oops. Next is… What is your shoe size?” She laughed a little at that question, wondering where that had come from. Then smiling with a hint of mischievousness in her eyes she asked, “What can you put inside a bucket to make it lighter?” That really wasn’t so much a ‘question’ as it was a ‘riddle’, but she decided to go with it. “How many times have you lost or broken your phone?” She was assuming that it had to have happened at least once with all his clumsiness. Then, she thought of something she was quite curious to know about. “What’s your first memory of me?” She had a feeling that he didn’t really know when he had first made an impression on her, and thought it could be a good time to check if she was right. Then, she laughed as she returned a question to him. “Between that frog shaped shower cap, knitted reindeer sweater, or a pink tutu... Which one would you choose then?”
- Kathy -
“Yes they are.” Kathy persisted, smiling broadly as she saw Crash poke his tongue out. She knew that she had done that a couple of times, but she was pretty sure this was the first time she had seen him do the mischievous action. It suited him and made it all the less convincing that he was supposed to be almost 2 years older than her. Especially when he showed signs of procrastination. Now she felt more like an older sister helping her younger brother clean up his room.

Taking his small admittance as consent to let her help, she careful took out the contents of the bag and began to group the items up on the floor. ‘He doesn’t have a lot of belongings…’ Kathy noted, looking at the bag in front of her and peeking a glance over at the clothes Crash was putting away. Technically she didn’t really have the right to comment since she herself could pretty much fit her belongings into about 2 bags well but she would have expected other people to have a lot more to pack up. ‘Oh! Maybe it’s because we’re only here temporarily as a sort of vacation?’ Nodding to herself at the conclusion she arrived at, she continued to help organize Crash’s belongings.

She noticed about halfway through the bag it may have been a better idea for Crash to organize this one and allow her to put away his clothes in the other bag. He did seem to have some reservations about letting her see his undergarments, but now she would have to remember and explain where she put everything away. Kathy herself wasn’t complaining though. As she placed the CDs away on a shelving unit, she noted his taste in music. It was good knowledge to learn for future conversations, and perhaps would help with some gift ideas for his upcoming birthday.

Kathy stopped what she was doing for a moment to look back at Crash. “A game?” She repeated, tilting her head slightly to the side as she listened. The actual game sounded innocent enough, but the mischievous look and smile made her wonder if he had some sort of devious plan in mind. Seeing the wink and warmth in his features though she thought, ‘Now that’s really unfair of you Crash. There’s no way I can say no after seeing that.’ She nodded, “Alright, let’s play. I get to ask you 8 questions when we’re done right?”

Before they started the game though, she noticed a couple of photographs in the bag. Laughing, she picked up in particular and waved it at Crash. “Hey, can I have this one?” Normally she would have hesitated to ask for any sort of photograph from him in case it held any special memories or the like, but she thought this one would probably be safe and actually wanted it for herself. It was basically a photo of Crash asleep on what seemed to be a sofa. Only the upper portion of his body had been captured and had a very clear shot of his sleeping expression. A slight blush on her face, she looked up at Crash and asked, “Please?”

Kathy:
(Love) Kathy: “My favourite would probably be any sort of fruit tart. Apple, nectarine, mixed berries… I can’t choose which one specifically since I love them all.”
(Hate) Kathy: “Hmm… That’s a tough choice between anything sour, and chicken noodle soup. I’m not sure if I really ‘hate’ sour things though, just I have difficulty eating them. Chicken noodle soup… I can eat it, but I’d rather starve.”
(Mixed) Kathy: “I have mixed feelings about French macarons. I love how they taste, but every time I see one I remember my own failed attempts at making them. Unfortunately they were a lot more difficult to make than other more typical desserts.”

Leroy:
(Love) Leroy: “La fée verte. Commonly known as ‘absinthe’. I’m glad it the ban on it was lifted by the time I was old enough to get into alcohol. I cringe when I see people down cheap absinthe as shots. Part of the enjoyment is to watch the drink change with water you know?”
(Hate) Leroy: “I’ll eat pretty much anything if it’s edible, but maybe jellied eels? Doesn’t look too appetizing, and the texture is rather questionable.”
(Mixed) Leroy: “Ever tried turkey liver? It smells bad but tasted rather good. Problem is I’m not sure if I liked it enough to get over the strong scent. I’ll probably give it another shot sometime in the future.”

Ara:
(Love) Ara: “Hands down, it’s gotta be tiramisu. Don’t you ever let me catch anyone cutting corners with this. It better have all the layers and plenty of mascarpone cheese inside.”
(Hate) Ara: “Blue cheese. That thing is 95% offensive smell, 4% fungus, and 1% cheese. And no, I’m not judging by its cover. I tried it, and I regret that decision to this very day.”
(Mixed) Ara: “Licorice. I just don’t understand it. Don’t hate it, can’t love it.”
