“Ah, that’s one of the best things about this place, ranking very close to the delicious food in the cafeteria.” Kathy smiled, explaining how the classes worked. “You skip with no consequences, and attend when you feel like it. In fact, you can probably just drop in unannounced to any class you want if you want to see what it’s like.” Seeing Crash’s enthusiasm for music she asked, “What instrument do you play? Or are you a singer?”
Giving a light chuckle on his idea about white hair dye she added, “Hence why it’s so important to read the instructions first.” ‘Ha ha, he’s embarrassed about his own idea. Glad to see I’m not the only one that slips from time to time. I didn’t think it was bad enough to apologize for though.’ She thought.
Listening to the red-haired boy’s sarcastic comment on Criston’s ability, she couldn’t help but break out into a natural smile. She had kept her thoughts to herself, so it was all the more interesting to hear Crash actually voice a very similar opinion to the one she had.
She couldn’t help but wince a little upon hearing Cyrus mention she could be the star of a circus. ‘Circus freak’ had certainly been one of the many names people had called her in the past. But realizing he hadn’t said it with bad intentions and seemed apologetic for mentioning it, she quickly replied, “No no, it’s fine. I’m not even sure what I want to do with my life after all this, so who knows, maybe you’ll end up being more right than you thought you were.” ‘Speaking of which, I don’t think I’ve ever tried walking on something thin like a tightrope or a flag pole. I should test it out sometime and see how my power works on those.’ She made a mental note to try asking the P.E. teacher permission to try that out in one of the classes.
Realizing that both Crash and Cyrus had been attempting to raise her confidence in her ability she said, “Thank you guys. I’ll keep looking for better ways to put my power to use. At the very least, I’m definitely in the right place to see what I can do.” Then listening to Crash explain his own power she couldn’t help but laugh and mimic his words. “Hey, don’t cut yourself short! Shape-shifting is more than just fun, I’ll bet you’re actually really powerful too.”
Catching sound of an argument brewing, for a moment Kathy’s attention left the table as she watched a white-haired girl and dark-haired boy yell at each other. Her sympathy went out to the girl when she saw the colorful fruits and juices splattered against her long hair, getting a vague idea on what the argument was probably about. Luckily the problem seemed to have resolved itself and the two ended up separating.
“Hey Kathy, question for you.”
Hearing Crash’s voice, her attention was brought back to their table. Giving a hearty laugh, she reached across the table and gave his hair another ruffle. “Silly Crash. That’s not a dumb question at all.” Sitting back down in her seat she continued with a warm smile, “And yup, I’m going to go tonight so let’s go there together. In fact, why don’t we meet up a bit earlier and I’ll show you where the party is taking place? Oh, but since it’s the Student Center I guess you might know how to get there already?”

[Fortune]For this RP, I've decided to give this character the ability to modify luck. This ranges from getting the right cards in poker, to an ejected spaceship part landing on an opponents head. Since it is luck, the effects of this power can be quite unexpected, and (since we are writing this) cause for hilarity,Weaknesses: Whenever one person is lucky, someone else has to be unlucky. This leads to the belief that Phookas bring good and bad fortune with them. For example, with the above ejected spaceship part, some unfortunate spaceship pilot now loses their mission, and probably their job.
Woah, wait, "an ejected spaceship part"? One all the way from outer space? Doesn't that literally mean the ability to give an instant and fatal head-shot to any character he curses? O_o;
On another note, unfortunately I just feel really tired today so I won't be making any more posts until tomorrow. Sorry to keep people waiting, I'll definitely post ASAP in the morning! Right after reading through the mountain of posts that I'm sure to find after logging back in.... XD

Kathy couldn’t help but smile at the self-introductions being exchanged. Quite a few students at the academy had often gone through some harsh treatment in the outside world and could be, quite understandably, a little guarded at times. Socializing with a group that seemed extremely cheerful and more than happy to exchange pleasantries seemed like a great way to start off her day and year at the academy. ’Looks like this will be a fun year for sure.’ She thought, nodding happily to herself.
“For the core classes I go to English, Math, and Science.” She answered Crash, “And my electives are Art, P.E., and Cooking. I admit I’m not all that dedicated of a student though, so I tend to skip a lot. What about you? Know what classes you’re interested in?”
Watching Cyrus send out an invitation to yet another guy with white hair, she couldn’t but wonder aloud, “Is white hair becoming really common or popular lately? I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people with such a unique hair color all in one sitting.” She was a little worried about the sudden, random call Cyrus had made to the alleged Dragon Keeper, but that concern had already been pushed back to a neglected corner of her mind by her curiosity about rising frequency of individuals with white hair.
Beginning to feel quite full now, she took a potato wedge with her fork and took small nibbles as she listened to Criston answer Cyrus’ question. ‘ “Just” a wizard/warlock. Unlike me I’m pretty sure he’d be able to pull his own weight if someone picked a fight with him.’ After Cirston was done she answered, “I’d say I’m about 99% ordinary human, 1% slightly unique ability. My power basically lets me walk around on the walls and ceiling. Pretty useful for avoiding crowded hallways, but not much else I’m afraid.” Feeling slightly embarrassed that she was comparing herself to others, she placed her hands on her cheek in an attempt to cool the blush forming on her face.
Watching the third boy with white hair ignore Cyrus’ call and sit down on his own she commented, “Guess he won’t be joining us. He doesn’t seem to be in all that good of a mood either.”

Do you sometimes make characters based off one from an anime/manga you've never even heard about or at least haven't read/watched it.
I don't think I've ever done that, at least, not intentionally. I'm pretty sure I've probably used a picture from an anime/manga in a RP somewhere without knowing it's actually from a published work though. XD
