Just because you can make something in stone doesn't mean you can necessarily replicate it with solid metal.
I mean, if you can actually find a source that says there were metal maces with flanges in this era, even if they were rare, I'd gladly go with it. But the info I can find is to the contrary.

I don't see any reason he can't have plumbing. The Romans had plumbing. Granted, plumbing wasn't particularly common in the ancient world but there were some civilizations like that in the Indus Valley from 2600–1900 BC that were known for having fairly advanced sewers and plumbing.
Hahaha, I mostly just stalk the RP threads though. It's not too often that I check on and look at someone else's profile. I am looking forward to making my next IC post here though.
