They say Kami came through the Vortex, a mysterious series of portals that first appeared in the flying city of Hope. However, information about the Invasion, including when and why it happened, is strictly regulated. Not much is known to the public, besides the fact that their was a worlwide announcement of peace, and then the governments fell, as an army of superheroes and villains from an alternate universe took the world by storm. All of society was taken over. The heroes that had broken every attack up until now were crushed under the foot of this new enemy, and when the superheroes of the universe had fallen, the human governments quickly fell as well. Officials were replaced by those loyal to Kami, and soon the medium itself was removed. Kami, through her many officials, ruled the entire world, completely controlling the global economy, as well as all factors of life, any who defied her disappearing off to the 'Re-Education Offices,' never to be seen again.
The apocalypse had descended upon the world, faster than anyone could have imagined. And yet, after the Invasion, normal life continued. Businesses existed within a sphere created by Kami, carefully manipulated and controlled from the Citadel of Tears, which had become the world's capital. People had jobs, and, in fact, Kami's hands kept all going well. All choice in government was wiped out, as free will was vanquished, but all resistance was soon crushed. In fact, even offensive thoughts were said to be detected and wiped out. However, anythign besides outright planning a rebellion was allowed. In fact, the economy improved, the justice system was more clearly monitored, and all war was abolished.
By Kami's hands a utopia had been created, as the media stated. Anyone born with superpowers was drafted, preexisting superheroes and villains either 're-educated' or brought into Kami's ranks. The climate's balance was restored by heroes with the power to control gasses, air, and chemical reactions, supergeniuses turned to creating new medicines instead of machines of war. Nature powers were used to turn the arid desserts into rich farming land, in order to solve world famine. Regardless of monetary values, resources were distributed to the entire planet, as Kami worked to create a 'better' world, with no hunger, no war, and no freedom.
Of course, without freedom, what is life?
Alien races, lesser Gods, demons, spirits etc. are all allowed, as long as they aren't too powerful. In terms of the standard power levels, I divide supers into high-powered supers and standard supers. High-powered supers are dudes like the Hulk, or Thor. Standard supers are Captain America, Spiderman, or Batman. I'm only allowing a certain amount of high-powered super, and if you're a high-powered super, you're more likely to be targeted by Kami's top weapons.
You can be someone in one of Kami's Super-Cores, or an underground super. You can be fighting for the Utopia created by Absolute Domination, or you can be fighting for free will. Or, of course, you can be fighting to take over Kami's throne as world leader. Whatever your motivation or side, make sure it's clear. Anyone who doesn't register their super powers and apply to a Super-Core is an enemy of the state, and anyone in the Super-Cores is going to be known to Kami.
Also, as a pre-warning, any character with healing powers may find themselves faced with special interest from above.

Usually people will post a number of fixed rules in this space, but rather I want to create a general set of ideas that should count as rules. Rules have loopholes, however I'd like to set up a mentality. I want everyone to try and have fun, and to make sure that everyone else has fun. She is a serious person now and takes no unnecessary risks. She displays an incapability to feel regret, probably due to the crippling amount she constantly carries with her
Short Bio: After the Invasion Elysia disappeared into northern Russia, she is currently in the body of a former Russian military officer. She has kept a watchful eye on the world she supposedly separated herself from. She has suffered from depression in the past couple of years and she has decided to mentor a new group of supers who want to take on Kami. She has a set of personal goals but I don't want to spoil it. She is one of few, if not the only person who knows the whole invasion story.
P.S. For people who don't know she has two 'sisters' and a parallel version of her self. I'll explain more later.

Nathan is that boy that will face his fears straight on, He is the type of boy that cares only for his loved ones and himself. He was always that kid in the back of the class, studied every night, didn't have many friends, But due to his intelligence he was brought in for military testing, using someone noone will care about for a procedure. Once Nathan heard the money involved he instantly accepted, He was chained and bound up into a machine as they set everything up..This is years after Captain America's beginning, and the technology was much more advanced, they thought everything was perfect, but as Nathan descended out of the chamber, flames sprouted over his body, engulfing him in flames as he proceeded to burn the room and everyone in it to a crisp, Once he came to terms with what he had done he fled quickly, the two chains binding his arms to the chamber snapped instantly, locking around him. Years later he has successfully controlled his powers and uses the chains as his weapons against his foes.

shapeshifting: Walter has the ability to alter his molecules and cellular structure which allows him transform into pretty much anything he can think of, this includes both animate and inanimate objects. When he transforms into things that normally are not alive, he can still talk and move as if it is alive, for example if Walter was to change into a sandwich then he would still be able to see, hear, and talk as if the sandwich was alive. he also not limited to real things, he loves shapeshifting into fictional characters but doesn't have any of their abilities. when he needs to get somewhere fast, Walt transforms into vehicles and sometimes even missiles and rockets to increase the speed of his traveling. his shapeshifting abilities also allows him to partially transform his body and gain power from the partial transformation such as turning his skin into extremely dense metals.

Personality: Walt is almost the definition of loony and goofy. One would think that he was a cartoon with how ridiculous his personality and that makes him very annoying to those that take things very seriously. He has bad habit of wanting to lighten the mood of heroes that seem dark and brooding like Batman. despite his obnoxious and ridiculous personality, Walter will get med if criminals start hurting innocent people and trying to bully the weak.
Short Bio: Walt was a boy who grew up on hilarious cartoons such as the Loony Tunes, Disney shorts and Tom&Jerry. His childhood was spent mostly buy thinking up many ideas for cartoons that he planned to create when he was older. At one point during his high school junior year, Walt went on a school trip to a cartoon studio and he was fascinated at witnessing the process of crafting cartoons. The people at the studio showed them a special type ink that was made from a combination of chemicals. The weather soon started to change and a thunderstorm started up. While Walter was holding a bottle of the special ink, a lightning bolt went through the window and the bottle. Walt was hit by a huge amount of electricity and the chemicals in the ink slashed onto him, altering his body's cells and molecular structure. The next thing he knew, he awoke in a hospital and was told that it was a miracle that he was still alive and not permanently injured. After he was let out of the hospital, he soon discovered that he had the ability to shapeshift into all sorts of things. Not too long afterwards, he became a member of the rebels and took the alias Shifter, and began to fight against the forces of kami, believing that the people of the world should have the right to choose their own destiny and not have it be controlled by a tyrant. Not to mention that his looney like personality is not one for conformity and control.

Abilities: Super speed. Jack can run really fast. However he is very clumsy while running and can be stopped with ice and other slippery things. It also requires him to be eating a lot.

Personality: Jack is always smiling and laughing. However there are sometimes when he is not so happy. He does not tell many people about it. Jack is smart but not a genius.
Short Bio: Jack was the only son of a speedster hero. He had gotten his father's mutation involving running extremely fast. The fastest he was recorded at was 500 mph. Not exactly light speed but he was quick. Jack was always good at chemistry which he tried to use to control his powers. One day he watched his father die in front of him while trying to stop the invasion. Jack took up his father's place and joined the rebellion for his father. He plans on making sure the tyrant goes down.

They both love everything, yet Dalia is more twisted inside, she has a strong taste for darkness that she sometimes can't control. Maria is very protective of her sister, they have arguments all the time and yet she is a sweet soul with genuine feelings for all.
