Just a random guy, doing random things. Main RP: Hell's Coffee Lounge Current RPs change often enough that it's too much effort keeping a list of them updated.

You have my blessing

Thank you very much. I'm very sorry for not asking you originally, but you'd pretty much disappeared from the thread. I'm very sorry if I was presumptious in remaking the thread without asking you first.

I'm joining. Thank you very much.

I'm glad to hear that. I suggest making a character ^^

it's more like a wave of telekinetic energy that passes through matter, heating it not by conduction or convection, but as a supernatural event.

Its not meant to be magic or overpowered.

Actually, telekinetic supernatural heat waves, surprisingly enough, are classified as magic in my book. Anything that defies all laws of physics in order to achieve a supernatural effect which cannot be scientifically explained in any way, is magic. And I'm not even counting the freaking wings.
Also, not overpowered? You killed 300 people, and blew up a machine the size of a small town, with a single attack. And that's not counting the people that'll be killed by the vacuuum, or the massive amount of ROCKETS in the Terebithia's weapons systems that'd rip the ship to pieces. You nuked the Terebithia instantly, and if all proceeds according to logic and physics, over 500 people on it are now dead because of that attack. Not. Overpowered. Huh?

Quite frankly, I'd already explained to you that I wasn't going to roflstomp the rp. If you lost, the Vampiric Republic would have fallen, radiation would hit most of America, the global economy would crash, and basically there would be a small apocalypse. Everyone would be in a post-apocalyptic warzone. It's not like the radiation would wipe out all life in America, there simply aren't enough nuclear reactors for that. I don't know if you honestly just ignored my explanation, or that you're consciously forgetting it as you post to justify your actions, and I'm not sure which pisses me off more.

You're rude, blow everything up, ignore the agreements we made, ruin everything I was working for, shatter the rules of the RP, and when you come back to find me complaining not only do you not apologize, but you BERATE me? I'm sorry, I'm kind of ANGRY right now.

Sorry, I was planning on cooling off before I returned, but that post...... I just had to answer.
Elsa, I'm waiting on you.
Aaaaaaaand the thread has been remade:

HGW was supposed to be IN Terebithia, and Mithias knew that. In fact, it's one of the things I'd told him when we were discussing actions. However, he completely ignores that and blows the living Hell out of everything I've created. This anger is mainly directed at him, for doing something like that, with no reason whatsoever.

Look, if everyone wants Jack and the Terebithia dead, which is apparenly the case, this is the easy solution. I leave, and you can continue doing this. Onikage dies, and Gabriel goes on a holiday to Hawaii.

Shikaru, I understand that you might not be the kind of guy to tell someone not to do something, but that's your responsibility as a GM. From my point of view, Jack was supposed to make it so Mithias had no choice but to go face Magnus. Jack is an incredibly smart guy, and thus I played him as a smart guy, with no superpowers but lots of cunning. I planned each of these events in advance, and everything happened according to that. However, I didn't know that apparently I was ruining the story so badly that you'd have all my favorite characters killed. It's your duty as GM to step up when that kind of crap happens.

However, I'm still mainly pissed at Wraithblade. I'll be going to cool down, I may be back later when I'm more calm.

They say Kami came through the Vortex, a mysterious series of portals that first appeared in the flying city of Hope. However, information about the Invasion, including when and why it happened, is strictly regulated. Not much is known to the public, besides the fact that their was a worlwide announcement of peace, and then the governments fell, as an army of superheroes and villains from an alternate universe took the world by storm. All of society was taken over. The heroes that had broken every attack up until now were crushed under the foot of this new enemy, and when the superheroes of the universe had fallen, the human governments quickly fell as well. Officials were replaced by those loyal to Kami, and soon the medium itself was removed. Kami, through her many officials, ruled the entire world, completely controlling the global economy, as well as all factors of life, any who defied her disappearing off to the 'Re-Education Offices,' never to be seen again.

The apocalypse had descended upon the world, faster than anyone could have imagined. And yet, after the Invasion, normal life continued. Businesses existed within a sphere created by Kami, carefully manipulated and controlled from the Citadel of Tears, which had become the world's capital. People had jobs, and, in fact, Kami's hands kept all going well. All choice in government was wiped out, as free will was vanquished, but all resistance was soon crushed. In fact, even offensive thoughts were said to be detected and wiped out. However, anythign besides outright planning a rebellion was allowed. In fact, the economy improved, the justice system was more clearly monitored, and all war was abolished.

By Kami's hands a utopia had been created, as the media stated. Anyone born with superpowers was drafted, preexisting superheroes and villains either 're-educated' or brought into Kami's ranks. The climate's balance was restored by heroes with the power to control gasses, air, and chemical reactions, supergeniuses turned to creating new medicines instead of machines of war. Nature powers were used to turn the arid desserts into rich farming land, in order to solve world famine. Regardless of monetary values, resources were distributed to the entire planet, as Kami worked to create a 'better' world, with no hunger, no war, and no freedom.

Of course, without freedom, what is life?

Alien races, lesser Gods, demons, spirits etc. are all allowed, as long as they aren't too powerful. In terms of the standard power levels, I divide supers into high-powered supers and standard supers. High-powered supers are dudes like the Hulk, or Thor. Standard supers are Captain America, Spiderman, or Batman. I'm only allowing a certain amount of high-powered super, and if you're a high-powered super, you're more likely to be targeted by Kami's top weapons.

You can be someone in one of Kami's Super-Cores, or an underground super. You can be fighting for the Utopia created by Absolute Domination, or you can be fighting for free will. Or, of course, you can be fighting to take over Kami's throne as world leader. Whatever your motivation or side, make sure it's clear. Anyone who doesn't register their super powers and apply to a Super-Core is an enemy of the state, and anyone in the Super-Cores is going to be known to Kami.

Also, as a pre-warning, any character with healing powers may find themselves faced with special interest from above.

Usually people will post a number of fixed rules in this space, but rather I want to create a general set of ideas that should count as rules. Rules have loopholes, however I'd like to set up a mentality. I want everyone to try and have fun, and to make sure that everyone else has fun. Feel free to use alternate methods of communication in order to create secret plans with people to make the story cooler, work together, betray each other, try and make this an awesome story. I want, as a rule, that everyone does their best to make everyone have fun. For after all, is that not the goal of roleplaying?

How to create cool headers
Radiation does not, in fact, cause heat. While infrared can cause heat, radiation does not. It causes the breakdown of atoms, more effective the less dense the atom is, which weakens molecules and through that cells, which is how radiation can cause cancer. The damaged cells can get infected. However, it does not, in fact, cause people to spontaneously vaporize
This heat was specifically mentioned to travel through walls, despite the fact that the Terebithia was heavily insulated using Metallic Glass, the strongest insulator known to man, in order to protect itself from the effects of the Exodus maneuver. This means it wasn't heat moving in a linear pattern, such as infrared, but the spontaneous generation of energy, or at least conversion of energy to heat energy, which defies any explanation.
The flames were metaphorical? I doubt it. He literally had fire coming out of his back after this happened, as well as the flaming wings. I really don't think they were metaphorical, and they were, in fact, magic.
Hot air mixing with cold air has a chance of causing tornadoes, but this is what occurs with massive shifts of air, global air currents colliding. The massive consumption of oxygen would cause all air to rush into the Terebithia, which is now a massive vacuum, meaning that a powerful gale would be pushing him towards the Terebithia, but would not in any way allow flight, or even gliding. The mixture of hot or cold air in such confined environments would not cause a tornado, as it would have no room for the reaction to start, esspecially as the Terebithia is moving downwards.

If you wanted Jack or the Terebithia out of the way, SAY SO! I was having a debate with Wraith about what to do, but he abandoned it in favor of roflstomping my character. I'd given him permission to kill Jack, but he also killed off all the AIs and the entirety of the Terebithia, as well as everything in it, which I'd specifically said were my backup characters for when jack died. He broke physics and all established rulings in the rp, as well as killing off Terebithia.

I'm sorry, but I find this incredibly rude. I'm fine with people asking me to back off with Jack, but to destroy everything like that without a word, esspecially using methods that break from the suspension of disbelief, is straight-out offensive. If this is the way you react to the idea of debate, or asking people anything, or the basic concepts of preserving realism in your rp, then you can go on without me.

Goodbye.
Ummm....... WHAT?!

First off, we had a strict no-magic rule. The specific example was no fireballs. Not only did you just cast very clear magic, but you engulfed an area a quarter mile in diameter in heat strong enough to instantly vaporize humans, ripped apart the entire terebithia's, manifested magical flames, somehow made those flames solid, shattered all rules of physics by actually using these solid-fire wings to FLY, based on the fact that a human could never do such a thing with our body mass, meaning you're somehow also controlling your physical density,

I understand that Martin was boosting you, but he himself has powers restricted to telepathy, and addictive blood. Gabriel himself can send people into comas, create illusions, and bend perception, but even he can't turn himself into a magical bomb capable of taking out titanic warships, or fly. If we're setting the bar at this level, I'm going to have my next character summoning demons or something, because that was VERY magical.

Small base? Does this mean you have usable gateways and stargates?

No Gateway. They've tried, but because this is a different dimension, they can't portal in troops. They've assumed this means they're the last of the protoss.
Crap, I said I'd remake the thread and then completely forgot all about it.

I'm thnking of doing 2.
