Because she´s the only one wearing the chip. It protects you from the spiders. To put it simply, Kami´s spiders are an extension of her own psychic powers. They can make you see or hear whatever they want you to see or hear, using illusions. These things will then drill through your skull and nest in your brain, which will permanently turn you into Kami´s bitch.

Team Awesome

Captain Awesome went past each of the members of Team Mildly Competent one by one, as he used his powers of electricity maniulation to rid them of the parasites that their bodies played host to. While there were a couple of close calls, and Captain Awesome nearly fried Alexels kidneys, it overall went rather well, and throughout the entire display, Mild could be seen practically drooling at the sight of Captain Awesome in action. Captain Awesome, of course, smiles brightly, sure that his work was absolutely perfect, and that those close calls were because of the people who he'd been helping, not at all his own fault. "There! Now, are you guys done? I'll stick around for a while to see if this fellow makes another appearance, but I'm a busy guy, and there are other parts of the world that need saving.
