I was being fair. He was pretty much drunk on blood. He took five years' worth in that one night, and it was going to his head, causing him to attack with abandon, and without his usual caution that has kept him alive for all these years. He made a mistake.
It kinda evens things out. Johnathan died, and most of SOLDIER is down. Both sides are going to be very confused and have suffered losses, although SOLDIER has a higher death count.
