'Okay, first question!' Quick as a snake, Mia's arm shot forward, slashing through the air like a blade. As she struck Iris' arm, the snap was audible, as her arm shattered in two place. A long, jagged piece of bone pierced the flesh, sticking out like a long white needle. Blood leaked onto the ground, covering Iris's sleeve and jeans. 'Can your power be used to heal? I really want to know, you know. Powers that heal are so much fun...' Still smiling, Mia turns. 'Well? Well? Was I right? You're wrong though, there is a prize.' She holds up one hand, carefully licking the blood from the palm, with which she had shattered the bone. 'the prize is I get you!'
*Organisation App* Name: The Blessed of Trazyn Almost 130 years ago, a great meteorite struck the Earth in the southern lands of Alm'Zar. Across the world, prophets and mystics sensed a disturbance, and the followers of Trazyn claim that the lesser deities shook on their Earthly thrones. For within the falling star was a being, alien to this world, known only as Trazyn. Possessed of great magical power, it reached out into the minds of those nearby, the loyal guard of the Al'Nuk Empire, and asked for their aid. The guards that entered to investigate came out changed people, claiming to have found the only being worthy of their loyalty and unquestioning devotion. They were the First of Trazyn. The might of the Extraterrestrial God expanded rapidly, as it promised gifts of arcane power and equality to those that would reject their political leaders, and swore fealty to Him alone. And he delivered, mysterious crystals implanted into the body granting magical power to those born without arcane potential. Great armies marched in His name, conquering those who did not come under His rule by their own will through brute force. These were known as the Infinity Crusades, and it was said that the legions of zealots were an unending sea, swarming across the country, twisted by the magic implanted into their souls. However, the World is a big place. The Elves of Lysandor stood firm, proclaiming that Trazyn and the injection of His mysterious arcane power was an abomination. Great battles ensued, but to dislodge the Elves from their ancient forests was impossible. They allied with the remains of the Al'Nuk, as they pushed back, driving against the maddened armies, battling Eldritch powers, aiming to destroy Trazyn himself once and for all. What happened in these wars is the work of many legends. The Al'Nuk were completely wiped out, their cities and holds part of the reformed Infinite Empire. Trazyn halted his great Crusades, having formed a peace treaty with the Elves of Lysandor. The tribes that had once dwelled the plains of Alm'Zar were incorporated into the belief, living in the cities or traveling to far off countries as missionaries, aiming to convert more cities to the world's most feared religion. Today, the Blessed of Trazyn, centered in the Infinite Empire, have spread across the globe, their religion seen in many places as being abominable and terrifying. However, they preach the equality of all under Trazyn, from commoner to noble to king, and have demonstrated this in their own empire. In many cases, the lower classes have rebelled in the name of Trazyn, forming their own city-states far from the Infinite Empire, loyal to Trazyn. Beliefs of the Blessed of Trazyn: - Trazyn is the architect of the universe, the very first magical being. It was He who created the very existence of magic, and it is from this magic that all other beings are born. - All people are equal, for all intelligent beings are the same. To stand one above the other is blasphemy, and only Trazyn and his Prophets have any rights beyond those of normal men and women. This includes the equal division of magic beyond genetic heritage, granting arcane powers to all who wish to have them. - All of nature is owned by the sentient races, and it is theirs to do with as they will, provided they heed the words of Trazyn. - All belongings are equal, and all is to be shared among the entire population. There will be no rich, and there will be no poor, for all are equal in the eyes of Trazyn. *Character App* Name: Alice Nettlebrush, The Immortal Innocence. Race: Elf Gender: Female Age: 12 Personality: While in many ways Alice acts as a typical 12-year-old, she has certainly been changed by Trazyn. She often knows things she should not have known, and possesses a strange, sly wisdom. She often displays dual personalities, and memories that don't belong to her lifetime. She is generally kind and caring, although she is devoted to Trazyn, seeing her God as part of herself. Due to the crystal implanted into her skull, this might be accurate. History: Coming from the Nettlebrush family, a small family of elves who became a part of the Infinite Empire, Alice's parents opted to send their youngest daughter to become a Priest of Trazyn. She would learn the ways of Trazyn, and preach his name. They did this because they knew the Priests of Trazyn were well treated, and that it wasn't good for elves in the Infinite Empire to be opposed to the Will of Trazyn in any way. Little did they know what would follow. Upon being implanted with her 'Gift', a synthetic crystal that implants some of Trzyn's magic into those born without when implanted into the body, Alice had a vision. It is said that she spoke many secrets, already knowing the 42 Names of Trazyn, and the greatest secrets of where and how Trazyn was kept. Alice was offered a choice by Trazyn Himself, and she chose to become His Prophet, to spread His will and to become a vessel for His power. As such, she became one of the 4 current Prophets of Trazyn. Position: Alice lives in Areopolis, representing Trazyn in this great and powerful city. Here, she leads the Temple of the Infinite, which is both a religious institution, and the embassy for the Infinite Empire. She expresses her Empire and God's wills and stakes in the councils and meetings of the city, and oversees the trade relationships between the Empire and other people. This is an important task, because many are reluctant to deal with the Blessed of Trazyn. *Character App* Name: Ja'Lir Arian. Gender: Male Age: 47 Race: Human (mostly) Personality: Stern and determined, Ja'Lir is only truly happy when he's doing the work of his Lord. He's an introvert, with a stern face that reveals nothing about him. He revels in doing what he considers the right thing, and places the importance of the 'greater good' far above his own life, happily sacrificing himself to save others. History: Born in the Infinite Empire, Ja'Lir chose the life of the military when it became time for him to choose his occupation. He was trained as a warrior, to fight and die for the glory of Tazir. He became a master at what he did, both in his physical skills and his manipulation of the Gift. As such, he rose through the ranks, earning many medals in the field, fighting off those who would attempt to destroy Tazir. Eventually, through his valor and skill, he was chosen to be the personal guard for Alice, and to represent the Arm of Tazir in Areopolis. He accepted this post gladly. Position: As Alice's Paladin, it is Ja'Lir's duty to ensure her safety, and to kill any who would take her life. He is also responsible for playing his part in the diplomatic relationships between the Infinite Empire and Areopolis, a physical representation of Trazin's armies, a threat through his very existence.
I heard this was always open, so ima join.
Mia smiled brightly. 'Wow. So you DO have powers. That must be amazing.' Still smiling, she walked closer, slightly dodging around a nearby tree, as if she thought the forest was going to make another attempt on her..... well, existence. It had been quite clearly established that Mia was, biologically speaking, dead. 'Maybe you can control trees. Or maybe insects. Ooh, or maybe you're a telekinetic person, and you made the tree fall towards me! There are so many possibilities, it's like I'm playing a guessing game. Can I ask you questions, and have you answer them? And if I guess right, is there a prize?' Mia giggled loudly, clasping her hands in front of her.
Then Kronos must get pissed off when I turn on the temporal distabilizers
TeotheDerpy
Nah. Remember, he's looking at all the time in the multiverse. Your destabilizers aren't even a ripple in the pond.
Mia cocked her head. 'Aww, you came here just for that? Your life must be boring. You know I always love to play with them before I kill them, it's what I do!' She giggles, before stepping forward. 'But you don't want me to do it now? That's fine. I think you'll be my toy then. Do you think they could hear you scream through that door? This is a-' With an explosive crashing sound, the tree next to Mia simply fell down, hitting her straight-on and cutting her off mid-sentence. The chances of that happening at that exact moment in time were, in fact, quite low. However, Mia had been looking Iris in the eye the entire time, not realizing it's effect. Growling, Mia lifted the tree, her left arm shattered, as the heavy trunk rolled to the side. Then, as she looked up, her expression shifted, as it turned sly. 'What was that? Did you just attack me with a tree?' Nimbly, she flipped back onto her feet, teeth bared as she walked towards Iris. 'Did you really think a tree would work on me?'
I know. Which is why I said you ATTEMPTED it. But enough about that. Any power, no matter what it does, will always have some sort of destructive potential. Alpha's omnipotent creation powers are no different. As that creation power is what makes alpha omnipotent, that most likely means there is no limit to what alpha can create. Going by that logic, it can create anything. Including nonexistance. Alpha's concept is creation, leaving it little to no offensive power. It can still create stuff with no real limits. Meaning as it can create the existance of something, it can also create the nonexistance of the same exact thing. This is essentially how dimensions can be so diverse, as there are dimensions that house the existance of a given object/being while the other dimensions house the nonexistance. Otherwise, you'd have a progressively infinite number of copies of the exact same dimension. Which, as there would be nothing distinguishing what exists in one dimension as opposed to another (since in each dimension, everything would exist and nothing would not exist), would be more like a singularity. This doesn't conflict with alpha's concept because in order to render something nonexistent, it has to create the nonexistance. Going back to to the whole "creation without limits" thing, it can be assumed that alpha can also create outcomes for given actions. (Gonna stray off topic and say I looked up omnipotence, and found a similar ability called omnificence, which is essentially the correct term for alpha's omnipotent creation ability. Though I'm guessing you already knew that) as there's nothing that says it can't. So yes, my statement about alpha creating failsafes, based on this logic, is correct. As the alpha can create the outcome of genocide failing. That being said, I'm sure I messed up at some point while typing this up, so I could be wrong.
No, Alpha cannot create nonexistance. Nonexistence is the standard state of all things. Anything that is not created is not nonexisted, it's nonexistence doesn't need to be created. Furthermore, to create nonexistence is a contradiction, as you would be creating the lack of creation. By the very act of creation, you remove nonexistence. Nonexistence is nothing more than the lack of existence, and as such the lack of creation, like the shadow cast by the light of reality. Furthermore, Alpha cannot create outcomes to certain situations. Alpha is an infinite force of creation, but it cannot manipulate the free will of those who already exist. Nor is it capable of seeing the future, and as such it does not know what will happen in the future. It is not limited by time, and can move through time freely, but only as a semisentient force of creation. If it were to move into the future, then it would exist at that point in time, without any 'knowledge' of the past, simply continuing in it's task of creation. If you want a Primal capable of manipulating time, it would be Kronus. However, even Kronus cannot choose what will happen in the future, because to do so would be to control the free will of all living things. Kronus is simply capable of observing, limiting and moving time, causing it to move more quickly or more slowly, and he maintains the fabric of time.
[Kishin] After a bit of searching, Asura finally manages to lock onto genocide's wavelength. He seems to be deep underground, and moving steadily deeper, and further away. In fact, it was moving at a surprising pace, beyond what a human would be capable of climbing. Furthermore, with every moment, the Divine presences he noticed earlier were getting closer. It wouldn't be long now before they arrived at the scene, and based on the strength of their Aura, their presence would complicate the situation significantly.
makarov, please just assume you have to go-ahead and the coordinates. I'd like to get this thing underway, and see how our first epic battle works out.
Using the direct mental interface built into his Ghost armour, 57 had already requisitioned the drones. Like great vultures, three giant rings of metal hovered above the area around the base, a great Plasma Drill hovering in the center of the drone. This massive device would focus the immense heat of plasma into a single beam, allowing it to melt holes deep into the Earth, through barriers of stone, metal and even diamond. Each of them was already forming the electromagnetic field that would contain and fire the plasma, ready to activate on 57's signal, and drill straight into the underground base. In the center of the three Plasma Drills hovered an Owl-class vessel, a relatively small drone equipped with an advanced sensor array. An even smaller drone was shot into the ground, attaching itself there, and using a series of subsonic waves to map out the basic external structure of the base, and where to aim the Drills. Infrared scans attempted to get a clearer picture of the grouping of lifeforms inside the base, and for the duration of the combat, the vessel would maintain an image of the battlefield, displaying all the acquired data directly inside of 57's brain. Of course, for the others, they'd have access to it in a HUD. Even as several guards moved out from the single entrance, having detected the power output of the Plasma Drills, they were taken down. Shot after shot landed, striking them down the moment they entered 57's line of fire, expertly placed and timed. His massive railgun had an enormous range and great punching power, the shockwave from impact literally tearing apart the target's body from the inside. Organs were ground to pulp, bones shattered, all without ever touching the actual bullet. Using anti-personel hollowpoint munitions, 57 ensured the maximum amount of damage to the body, and combined with his inhuman accuracy it was a barrage of death from afar. Already, Drone Carriers were heading to this area, ready to deploy a Strike Squad. He would provide ranged support until the Plasma Drills fired, and then enter the base, backed up by Tyler and Arcanus. Their job would be to eliminate the command structure, break enemy morale, and ensure a swift surrender. The two other holes would serve as entryways for drones, distracting enemy foces and dealing damage to their infrastructure. With merciless efficiency, he would eliminate anyone who dared oppose Helios.
