Jake, at hearing the anger in the mages telepathic message, simply sighed, looking disapprovingly at the mage.

"Angering....." He mutters. He pulls out a small cube and pulls over several papers, certificates from university of medicine.

"I am sceptical, beacause your story is so disbelieving. You fly in through the window, annoy the people in the bar, and claim a baby, and you wish me to believe you were sober the whole time? Simply the fact that you can sober yourself up with magic does not mean you are not a heavy drinker, just that you are one who can render the consequences negligible before the next morning."

Advent of Creativity

I've tried interest checks, and nobody really seems interested in interest checks most of the time, ironically enough.

And my plan is to simply play characters in a world which is expanded by the actions taken by our characters. I might, for example, have my character discover a giant plant, which added giant plants to the world. Effectively, we're playing people exploring a world as it's being created, although the characters themselves don't realize it.

Super Heroes/Villians

Soon, Abbadon again has the odd sensation of his senses being confused, and then he's standing before two large thrones, in a hall covered in banners. They appear to show a red teardrop, covered in a pentagon, the symbolism lost on one with so little knowledge of the power plays in Fear. He finds himself inexplicably in chains, and he feels the presence stronger than ever in this place. On an ornate golden throne sits a beautiful woman, garbed in a white gows, with flowing blonde hair, but eyes that betrayed a cunning and cruel mind, an edge to her beauty. Upon the other throne, made of obsidian black as night, sits Appolyon, Abbadon's double, looking almost as confused as Abbadon himself is.

Kami smiled, as Appolyon recognizes the hall he was first in, albeit the appearance has changed drastically, explaining his confusion.

"Intelligence and naivety are two separate things. I have seen brilliant men make stupid mistakes due to sheer inexperience, and experienced men make mistakes due to stupidity. To trust the judgement of even a prodigal child would be foolishness, as such a child would simply not have experienced the world sufficiently to understand it's workings to any great extent. It should be separated from the Elf as soon as possible, and sent to a responsible guardian.

For if one simply takes a child with no questions asked, that is little more than kidnapping. And do not be foolish. Most assassins do not dare face mages. Those who act against the interests of powerful factions may face such adversaries, but none would pay the sizable cost for such an attempt to kill a mere travelling healer." Jake emphasized the fact that he did not for a moment believe that the elf was truly a travelling healer.
