Crap, I forgot to post. *facepalm*
I totally thought I'd already posted. Sorry.
Yep. Of course, few vampires actually MAKE it to that age, and the one that do are carefully observed by the world. They can't make many enemies, or someone might 'accidentally' nuke them.

Most of the men are normal mercs, save for one that turned out to be a short creature in a robe with glowing yellow eyes.

Soon enough, the captain returns. He's a tall Andorian, orange-skinned, tall creatures with four arms and pointy ears, and suction pads on their feet, which have but three, large toes. Ma'Ken, the captain, wore a bright green coat with golden buttons, and an old-fashioned european captains hat, feather and all, which looked quite ridiculous in the bustling space port, especially combined with his elegant monocle. His pants are sleek and black, with no shoes, as is Andorian style. He walks over, eying ther mercs. "Interesting group. May I ask why there's a demon? Not to sound prejudiced, but your kind aren't known to be reliable or brave in battle."
Jake checks his email on his phone. Then he sighs. Damn. Hurry, Micah is in town. He's in the Second Chance. James was a good enough boy, but Jake would happily have throtled the child, if it would change the news. Unfortunately, it wouldn't, and as thus, Jake sent his thanks. The last time he had seen the Trickster Mage, he had managed to get himself banished from three Orc Tribe-Cities in a single night, quite an achievement indeed. In fact, Jake doubted that any mage had more assassins at his neck than this fool, constantly getting in trouble and making enemies. Unfortunately, none of them had managed to put him down, which meant Jake now had the unpleasant task of attempting to ensure he wouldn't send the town into anarchy. This was his home, after all, and he felt to some degree responsible for the populace. Furthermore, such a state of chaos would surely not be beneficial for him in any way.
In a purple shimmer, Jake appeared in the Second Chance, looking around the small inn until he spotted Micah. Getting drunk. Good God. This was going to be an absolute catastrophe, Jake could see that already. Sighing, he appeared on the stool next to Micah, a glass of wine in his hand, although he did not drink. "Micah. It's been a long time. I trust you aren't here to cause any more mischief?" It was more of a formal question than a real enquiry. Jake knew as surely that Micah would cause mischief as that the sun would rise the next morning. Some things in life were just fixed. And Jake had the unpleasant, unfortunate, and wholly unfair duty of attempting to limit the damage. And no amount of cursing the Gods would reverse this terrible twist of events.
Well, most vamps older than Magnus and Dresden are legendary around the world. Leaders of countries, worshipped as Gods, or some other shize. I mean, imagine a vampire who is far more powerful than Dresden and Magnus? He might by rights call himself Godlike......

((From what you explained to me, those horses apparently have a insta kill for anything evil.)) Over the next several weeks several agents attempt to pose as mercenaries wishing to fill in for the killed soldiers.

((Pretty much. Deadliest anti-evil weapon in the multiverse, by my reckoning.))
Serenity, the ship is called. It docks at the space-port of Hjaalmarch, where the renowned collector of magical beings Jorgak unloads his cargo. The alien moon is bustling with activity, but simply following the rumors easily leads the agents to the docks, and to the place where the Serenity is docked. It's a massive, grey ship covered in squares. Solar panels, apparently, which can be switched out for heavy armor at will. It has the appearance of a ball that somebody sat on. A flattened orb, not quite round, it's rims covered with large guns sticking out to the side. To the front is a massive weapon decorated with rainbows, which would have drawn ridicule was it's reputation not known. The Serenity is indeed hiring, although when questioned, the men tasked with loading and unloading simply state that the mercenaries should wait for the captain. Sentry robots and large sensors dispel thoughts of sneaking aboard - this ship values it's secrets.

No, not really. Especially since I'm involved in the IC of about 4 or 5 threads. ><"

Oh? Link me. I won't join if you don't want me to, or if I don't want me to (this one is fairly obvious) but I might, and I'm curious to see what rps you're involved in.

((Definition of chaos from a dictionary: a state in which behavior and events are not controlled by anything. Mephiles is pure Chaos. Case closed.))

((Very well))
The darkness remains, as Mephiles tries to capture and destroy it, it's power not so easily destroyed. Although he does not feel it's weight upon him, your life is being drained, your heart slowing, both of the souls being slowly extinguished. Even Chaos cannot act within the sterile environment of the lifeless void.

We all summon our keyblades and fire beams of light at the tendril, having it shrink away from the light.

The tendril of Darkness is hit b the light, and it curles around it. It absorbs the light, and the light becomes nonexistant, as it fades away, the Darkness spreading towards you. However, the light made it hesitate. The combined power of three keyblades made it hesitate, and thus, it can be stopped. It could possibly have weakness, it can be fought like a normal enemy, albeit a powerful one. It's not the unstoppable, infinite source of pain and death that your minds' fear had conjured up, the image spawned from your sense of impunity before it. This alone, gives you hope to face it, as the shroud that kept you from doing anything much is lifted, and finally you're able to move freely and with speed.
