Deus turned, and took out a single rose, dripping with blood. "So to protect her life is an insult? You have some very twisted morals, girl." He smiles, as he turns to her. "But feel free to chalenge me. Speak it. Attack. Make me your enemy. I have done nothing to harm you, up until now, and have solely taken action to the benefit of the group, including you. If you do not see such a simple thing, then all the more a fool are you." Bob elegantly bowed, smiling, as the rose grew into a long sword, reaching to the ground, covered in bloody thorns.

Hey Matt, can I fix my character ^^' I majorly dumbed him down from where I got him in fear of him being OP, but I don't think he would be now... (basically, actual magic instead of a flaming sword, though his blade is still magical in a sense)

Magic is rare among humans, and you'd be ignoring supply lines. I'll cut you a deal. You have full magical power but you owe the Sky Spirits of Urn a serious favor for teaching you magic.

That's what meh means. Have you not learned proper meh vocabulary?
One of the other soldiers, a heavyset man with a thick brow, speaks up. "Fuck that. There'll be other chances. If we have to, we can go back to the battlefield, there are plenty of demons and monsters that don't go bad easy. The God of Death pretty much sterilises an area with it's presence, I heard." A couple of other soldiers grunt in agreement, while another suggests a rumor he heard that the God of Death actually causes everything near him to rot. Unsurprisingly, there wasn't much concrete data on the Old Gods, and what little of it there was was hidden in rumors and superstition.
"We have to go out there." Johnathan finally spoke up, nodding both to Zelos and to Jacque. "I invited you men here, risking my family and children. It is a risk which is justified, I believe. However, I can ask none of you to fight if you don't wish to. I don't believe I can be of much use myself, having never fired a gun in my life, but if I find a weapon, I'll do what I can." The soldier's grumblingly acknowledged this, as they stepped aside, leaving the path clear. It was now completely up to Zelos and Jacque whether or not to proceed outside.

Meh. That is all I have to say in response to that. And this, obviously.
The door opens, and what appears to be a gorilla wearing some kind of strange combat armour walks into the room, flanked by two human guards. Of course, with all the weird things in the life of a meta, an intelligent gorilla really wasn't that surprising. "Greetings. We have not met, but we will have quite some time to get acquainted. I am professor M. Brains, and I have been placed in charge of the research of your tri-soul." He sighed as he sat down. "Would you like something to drink, or perhaps something to eat? Or perhaps some painkillers?"
The man stepped in front of the water elemental, his face blank. "You want to just march out there? You motherfucking spirits. I guess you don't even care you're endangering women and children. They're just human, after all." This notion was met with an unhappy grumble from the other soldiers, many of whom were still armed. "You think you can just stroll out there and kill two demons where a bioweapon is failing? You heard the man. If the Enclave Bioweapons can't kill these things, we don't stand a chance. I had the pleasure of seeing Shiri at work once. Mechanical bitch ripped apart two hundred of the things, fought better than a hundred well-stocked men and came back with hardly a scratch." The men were still unsure, but their open dissent towards the thought of a water spirit sacrificing children was driving them to stay.
