The girl continues screaming, the black figure moving towards you. You feel your mind beginning to go slowly dulled. A fatuigue, creeping into you, not quite a headache, more a haze. Your muscles seem to stiffen, refusing to move as quickly as you wish them to, as the figure extends a long claw towards you.
((Gosh. And here I thought you were using the element of mud to heal your wounds.))
The beast screamed, batting at the illusory flames, before he's lost from sight. Even after you've sped far from the site of the battle, you can still hear the inhuman shrieks tearing through the air.
Exactly. From now on, kilts all around.
The mental being draws back, giving up on the attack, as the man utters a mindless shriek. The shadows are ripped apart, as black claws rip through the man's gloves, revealing pale blue skin, gleaming in the moonlight, as the monster bounds towards you, arms ready to slice you open.

Micheal is suddenly flung across the room, as the girl shivers more, the lights going out, as the room begins to be cast into complete and utter darkness. No light can be seen, as Micheal senses a slowly growing presence, pressing itself into his mind, something undeniably dark, and he feels a reflexive impulse to flee, his primal instincts screaming at him to run away.
...... now I don't have spoons OR pants. Oh well, pants are for losers.
The creature struggles, moving slowly closer, the shadows being drawn taught to hold him. However, as Moonbeam focuses on her mental barriers, the outsider finds less and less grip with each strike. They less bash your mind, and seem more to slide off off it, as you automatically adjust to it's attacks. While you're growing used to mental combat, the enemy being seems also to be growing gradually stronger as the physical being gets closer.
