1)convoluted and complex are basically the same thing. Yeah it has a few parts that just made me go. "What just happened?" So I watched it again and still didn't quite understand, but once you watch through it it makes sense.

Johnathan smiled as Magnus scurried back like the dog he was. "TO ME, SOLDIER! We shall strike from the fog!" He smiles, as he advances as the fog does. He slashes down vampire after vampire who hadn't been finished by the fog, barely visible. He laughed, the scent of blood in the air. Hundreds upon hundreds of vampires were falling to the fog alone, and those that broke into the town would be burned and helpless, an easy kill for SOLDIER. He doubted there were any other Oldbloods in the area besides himself and Magnus, as he had heard Dresden had moved further north, probably seeking solitude.
