So do all these godlike characters use magic? if not what would it be classified as?

Deus uses magic. Eris I don't know about. The Witches definitely use Magic.

And mind if I ask for some stats on Gaia?

Would the over shield do anything ...

Gaia can manipulate any matter that he touches, directly or indirectly. The Over Shield is made of energy, and thus as long as it's intact Gaia can't simply cause Bruticus to explode. As such, don't let that shield drop.
Bob stepped through, looking around. "It seems things have slowed down here." He looked around, and saw several beings. The large robots, still working around on their giant ship, searching for energy. A bit further on, another group of robots. Two opposing factions. Unfortunately, Bob could not look into their minds, as they were robotic. However, he had a fairly clear idea of what was going on nonetheless from the impressions the others had of the robots. Most considered the 'decepticons' to be 'evil' and the 'autobots' to be 'good'. It would be amusing to play around with this. "I'm going to have fun with the robots. Do you wish to join me, or would you rather join the others?"
As Bob uttered this line, he gestured with one hand. A call went out, ripping through the fabric of space into other dimensions. A link being pulled taut, as several shards of his soul responded in far away places. Solus, Dragoon, Gaia and Kami answered the call, their souls bonded to the Chaos Sliver within them. He would leave the others for later, as an extra surprise. They each appeared, Kami already having issued their orders. Each was to find their own place to cause chaos and confusion. Each would perform in their own manner, of course, but Bob could not help but enjoy their little..... quirks.
Gaia was in space. Wrapped in a ball of steel, he gazed down on the planet his master had selected as his playing ground. It was his duty to fight and die for his master, and he would do as such. As the planet's orbit reached the point Gaia had calculated, he blasted downwards, crashing towards the atmosphere. As he entered it, the air bent around him, condensing more and more, as it formed a layer around him. As a flaming, ever-expanding orb of solid air he crashed towards the forest below, his aim precise. The massive orb crashed down to Earth in front of Gaia's target, Bruticus the Combaticon.
Solus smiled, as he walked through the woods. He had decided on his target already, of course. A lovely lady, sure to fall for him. He would quite like another girl for his harem, a souvenir of this forest. And in the process, he was sure there would be plenty of opportunities to spread the chaos that his master desired him to. Solus warped his appearance, or rather, other people's perception of him, as he stepped out from the leaves, encountering the green girl he had chosen, Ivy. While many would be turned off by the green skin, Solus had more... eccentric tastes, and a half-plant was certainly something for him. He might have gone for the witch, but he doubted even he, with the power to ben the wills of others, would stand a chance with that cold-hearted bitch.
Kami had landed on the despicable little planet, floating on his mechanical throne, his wings folded behind his back. What a tiresome task. While he respected, of course, the orders of his master, he would have far preferred somewhere cleaner, and with more servants. However, at the very least he had picked on a target who might prove a worthy servant from among the masses of worthless garbage that dotted this miserable little globe. Kami's throne wirred, floating towards Kara and the Teen Titans, as Kami looked up resting his head on one hand, an eyebrow raised. He would allow the rabble to be awestruck by his appearance before speaking.
Dragoon grinned brightly, his smile mimicking that of his master. He had felt several magical presences, beautiful, really. A form of magic he had never seen, a type of arcane manipulation he had yet to witness. He was thrilled, excited, overcome with pleasure, oh yes he was. He would take it, and twist it, and turn it. Oh how many wonderful little things he could break ad change with another spell or two, added to his collection. Such knowledge would be prized and kept by him only. He'd have to kill the original wielder, of course, to test the magic's efficiency. Oh, that would be fun, now wouldn't it? Gleeful smile still on his face, Dragoon walked up to Sora.

The Book is a tricky topic, while she does will it to be her weakness it also gives Syracuse and the other cities a sort of magical energy. It's difficult to explain but after the Book is shut the city begins to crumble, which is exactly what Eris wanted. I've believe that the Book could like a good luck charm, it's enchantments kept peace in whatever city housed it, I also thought that it might be more like a security blanket. The 'cross my heart' mark while it might be a self-imposed limit it also would make sense that if you look at it from the eyes of a child. In kid's movies the villain usually has a crucial weakness, as a kid it made sense to me that the promise of a deity is absolute. If you want to look at it from a mythological point, Eris could have sworn on the River Styx. Meaning she had to keep those particular promises, however explaining that to children is a lot harder than using a familiar mark of a promise and saying she has to do it. We must also take into account that while all of what you said could be true neither of us has much proof either way. All we have are the events of the movie, it's hard to say whether Eris set up the whole thing for fun because we just don't know. It adds layers of complexity that the common 7-11 year old can't fully understand.I can't help it either, sorry.

Good points, all ^^ However, I like to theorize on the blank spots in movies, esspecially those I like.
Personally, the biggest mystery to me is what exactly the Book of Peace is. Who made this thing? Where did it come from? How does it work? It's obviously quite powerful, as demonstrated by the big shining lights, but who has that kind of power, and doesn't like Eris? Personally, it seems to me that it's most likely that Eris is, in fact, the creator of the Book of Peace. She's the only entity of enough magical power we see that could create such a powerful relic, and it fits in with the idea that she's just playing games. She isn't seriously trying to spread chaos, she's just faffing about in the human world.
I understand that she used the familiar mark to identify with younger children, but the idea remains the same. This plays out a lot like an old mythological tale, in which the Gods are bound by their promises. However, Eris appears to be nearly omnipotent, capable of doing anything she wishes. I think that the self-imposed limit is the most likely option here, based on what we see of her power and personality.

Sorry, I just can't help myself.

Yeah, she has pets/minions to do that for her. Getting involved with mortal lives is not a flaw, becoming obsessed with certain ones is a flaw. As much as I want to believe Eris could have done whatever she wanted, I can't because I believe that Eris must have weaknesses, if it isn't the book of peace then perhaps it is that the goddess of lies and deceit (amongst other things) has to keep her promises.

The Book of Peace seems to only be her 'weakness' because she wills it. She isn't particularly impeded when it's opened, and only uses it as some kind of mcguffin. Something to give the mortals a chance, and for her to take away. I believe it's quite likely that the mark on her chest might be another one of those self-imposed limitations. Also, she's a Goddess. Literally. She might not be omnipotent, but she isn't going to have one definite weakness per se.
Damn, it looks like this is going to die......

True but one of her fatal flaws is probably her obsession with humans/mortals. At one point she probably did like Sinbad but Maria changed him for, in Eris's mind, the worst. Your right about playing games, I don't think she gets any satisfaction from crushing others. You also have to remember she gave her word 'as a goddess' to Sinbad. While they don't go into detail about it, she isn't aloud to break that promise. Implying that there could be a number of rules deities from that universe have to follow.

True, that did happen. However, I honestly don't think it's a flaw. If she just went around and killed everyone, what would she have to do? She seems to enjoy tempting people, creating chaos and confusion, but doesn't seem to be the type to kill or torture.
I'm not really sure there ARE any universal rules. I think Eris just cast that spell on herself, and bound herself on purpose, perhaps to make the game more interesting.
