You still haven't justified why he wasn't killed before he even got a chance to do that. Fragarach was used as a response to his trump card of the resonance, not Soul Purge, as was said. Fragarach responds to the trump card, regardless of if it's an attack.

Define trump card. Arguably, Soular Resonance is Stein's most powerful technique, but his most powerful attack is Soul Purge, the attack he used later. In ways, his trump card is soular Bond, which is also one of his most powerful abilities. What causes something to count as a 'trump card'?

Ummm, can I assume that your silence means that I proved to you why Observer's Authority would still get her the information of the message? Or did you just miss the message? (Which is totes find since there have been a lot of posts.)

Sorry, I missed your mesage in the flurry of posts.

The message could be magic, it is irrelevant. It was written at some point, as long as it was created, the Observer's Authority works. As long as the message existed at some point, Observer's Authority should work.Again, think of it as Carmilla reading this scenario as a book. In a book, even if something is destroyed, the message can still be known to the reader.

Wait, so it allows her to know everything that was ever written down, ever? Wouldn't that make her omniscient, pretty much?

Conceptual weapons like Fragarch and Gae Bolg are soul crushing weapons, but they only do what they're designed to do, so they have limitations and counters. For example, after this point you should know not to use a trump card against Gilgamesh, thus Fragarch will no longer be a problem. For example, using Fragarch on Gae Bolg would result in a double KO.

However, the main issue is whether or not Stein's trick with the two hearts would have worked, seeing as how they're both his heart. I'd assume it'd go for the closest one.

wow, you guys are really posting fast today!

It's a discussion. Of course we're posting fast. However, I can't post IC because I'm currently unsure just how dead or not dead Gil and Stein are.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, no, it wouldn't be a response that way and it'd be out of range.

Okay. I was just wondering if this thing could be used to just go back in time, because that would be a pain.

You can still save Stein, but you clearly need to get him out of there now. I wouldn't suggest fighting while you can do that.Like I said, is it "Steins" heart?

yes. It belongs to him, it is his one and only original heart. He had it removed earlier to counter fragarach, replaced with a mechanical heart. Of course, aqua vitea had caused his heart to grow back, but that meant there were two hearts which were his, and he used his original heart to block the heart by holding it in front of him.

You're not getting it. The resonance is his rump card. Fragarach was used as a response to the Resonance. Powering up can be a trump card, as with what BB said regarding God Hand. When Fragarach was fired, it was done as an attack with regard to the Resonance.

Okay, so imagine if Stein had missed with his attack. Gilgamesh would have fled or something (hypothetical situation). Years later, he would have thrown the dagger. Would the dagger turn back time all the way to the event of the trump card attack being used?
