Marcus slung his bag over his shoulder, swiftly leaving the building to head back for what would now be the empty barracks he stayed in. His bunkmate was in class for the rest of the day he knew, so that pretty much guaranteed a room to himself.
"What are you gaping at." He said flatly, before he finally stuffed the paper in his bag and decided to just go. "Let me know if there's a test." He said in parting, before heading for the door.
Marcus stood up with the others slowly, refraining from saluting though and then sinking back into the chair. Again he looked to the door, leaning back in his chair now as he again considered just leaving. In his right hand it was clear now there was a balled up piece of paper.
Hurray!
"I said I'm fine." He practically snarled this into his arm, still not really looking anywhere and remaining hunched over. Eventually though his eyes did dart towards the door as if considering bolting.
"Im fine." He muttered into his arm, not looking her way. A muscle in his cheek clenched rhythmically, showing he was grinding his teeth and clenching his jaw. In addition to this, his knuckles were white and looked to be shaking.

Marcus had appeared in the doorway a second before the bell rang, ignoring the chiding remarks of the teacher and sinking into a chair. He looked a bit pale and dishelved, his eyes red rimmed and his uniform crinkled and creased. Setting his bags down on the table in front of him he folded his elbows on the table and rested his chin atop them.
The past few weeks had been fun in his opinion, it being nice to have a friend to mess around with in the majority of his classes. He still had the sand dollar as well, it having dried out awhile ago and currently was occupying space on his work desk. But right now there was none of his usual cheer or snarky manner. Just a sullen scowl.
