[I see what ya did Thur;)]

Marcus was having more difficulty then he'd care to admit keeping himself together, forcing himself to focus in one thing at a time as he ushered people out. Then a familiar voice caught his attention and he whipped around to see Casper, shirt scorched and with what looked to be ash smeared in his face, come running up to them.
"Three carriers, standard but packed to the fucking rafters" he said in way if greeting, pushing an already bloodied combat knife into Marcus's hand. For a sec he looked worried, searching Marcus's expression for that doubt and when he saw it he frowned.
"I'm fine. Lend a hand we're getting people out to clear the field ". Marcus said quickly when he saw Casper's express change. The smaller man grunted, but nodded before disappearing into the crowd to comply.

" its going to be a bloodbath out there". Hissed Tess, eyes wide and maybe a bit scared. Yes she had fought and killed before, but it had been at a distance. From the seat of her viper, this was just so up close and brutal...
Marcus hesitated, thoughts going to Rin, Tess, and his pack. It was only for a second though as he tried to evaluate the situation. It was either find them or run and hope for the best.
"Let's try to get as many of these civis out that way as we can, then follow." He said finally, waiting for a pause in the stream of gunfire before slipping back out into the open. There was a bunker system around here, he was sure of it. And the locals probably knew about it, the least he and Rich could do was give them a chance to run for it. And if it gavevthe girls more time to find them? Added bonus.

"Right behind you" Tess raced after Rin, the halls packed with scrambling crowds but they seemed to part pretty easily for the pilots. Those had to be carried turrets they were hearing, which most likely meant ground troops loaded up behind them. This was looking like an invasion force not a raid,
Marcus shrugged. "Just tired. Got booted from my room at like 2 and Tess took my place, didn get much sleep after that." He said with another yawn. He paused though after a moment, looking up and around with a frown when he heard something that was eerily familiar. A humming noise, a noise usually heard over the sound of clamoring gun fire and shouting...
"Ohohoh you have got to be kidding...' He said under his breath when he caught sight of the ships. In a second he was on his feet, dragging Richard up as well with all signs of weariness gone and racing to get under the nearest arch way. There was a whirring sound of the turrets heating up and of other people scrambling for cover before the all to familiar death rattle of an auto turret tore through the commotion.

Tess took a second longer to figure out what Rin had discovered, and with a grunt of agreement she raced after Rin, her own bag and any weapons she might have brought with her in her own room and not in here. UKD bastards
"Yeah well, I feel like shit so Im not to surprised." Yawned Marcus, scratching at the beginnings of stubble along his jaw as he blinked blearily up at Rich. Muffling his yawn with one hand, he leaned back in his chair and stretched his other arm above his head. He considered warning Richard that Casper was around, but figured it was unnecessary. Last night, or was it that morning, he had had a talk with the other about the whole situation and despite casper finding a retag amount of humor in it all he had promised to keep his distance. "If Im shit, you're not much better off. Whats up with you?"

Tess laughed a little, looking away from the hazy shapes as Rin came out of the bathroom. "I don't expect him to, he still gets on my case about stuff from forever ago. youre boyfriend has a grudge problem. Yeah, I'm okay. It's just frustrating is all." With a sigh she pushed herself out of the chair and to her feet, tugging her hair back in a ponytail and casting one more glance out the window.

Marcus Avian

The days had dragged by for me, full of a few to many curious people for my liking. Questions and curious glances. out right suspicion and hostility from some, not that any of it made me feel self conscious or anxious. it was just exhausting. Before, when I had escaped, my interactions with strangers had been minimal. Consisting mostly of directions or bumped shoulders. This was so much more taxing, I had to actually talk to these people (Not very much granted) and get along with them. Attempt to fit in, or at the least get out of the way when things started rolling. They all thought I was a Merc, a gun for hire thanks to Rin's cover story. It was a good one, didnt mind it. If anything it sort of helped me feel less like an object belonging to the military science and research branch. I appreciated it.
Most of my time I either spent in the small room I had been issued studying current events and catching up on rest. When not in there, I was either in the armory or the gym learning how the latest models in sniper rifles functioned and getting back into some sort of routine when it came to working out. Routine was comforting, it was a laid out plan that happened every day without fail. It gave the voices less opportunities to cause me to doubt.

Currently I was in the appointed mess hall, hunkered in a corner studying the 'food' I had been dished with a frown. It, looked like food. Tasted kinda like it, certainly smelled like it. But it was missing something, and try as hard as I might I couldnt put my finger on it...Then Rin, or the Commander, marched back into the room and made an announcement.
"Is their only cause for distress the asteroid field?" I asked eventually, sitting up a bit and resting my elbows on the table. It was hard to stumble into one of those, not that it never happened, but I couldnt help but be a bit paranoid. I wasnt as bad off as I had been when I had first tracked down Rin but it was hard to shake off a mentality like that.
"Yeah well, you say that as much as you like" Marcus sighed, finishing his drink and storing it back in his bag before getting up to follow along. "Anyways, when I asked if you wanted to talk about it, I meant this whole thing with Tess. I'd be lyin if I said I havent noticed anything going on there. Hell half the ship knows. Are you ever gonna do anything about it? Other then flip out when she touches another guy, I mean." He assumed that Cas had been his normal handsy self and that had been part of what had freaked Richard out.

"Yeah I know" huffed Tess, clearly burnt out on the subject. "Look I'm not seeing him anywhere, you think Marcus found him and they're having a manly bonding conversation or whatever?"

Eventually the four reunited on the beach and while things were still off between Tess and Rich, they managed to salvage the rest of the day and have a good time. By the end of it they were all pretty wiped out, Tess from not sharing more then three words with Rich at a time. Richard from 'not caring' about Tess and the guys she knew. Rin from swimming and reteaching Marcus to swim, and Marcus from drowning.
The next day started similarliy to the first, but with promise that maybe it wouldn't be so rough and full of middle school level drama.

Marcus was already up and out in the outdoor dining area by about eight, having spent the night sharing a room with Casper. Originally he had started out in his and Rin's, until about 2 am when Tess had come marching in and demanded girl talk time. Disgruntled and with wounded pride at being kicked out of his own bed and room by a tiny blonde pilot he had tracked down Casper and invaded his privacy by crashing on his couch. Now though, he was struggling to stay awake at a table with a coffee in one hand with an empty plate in front of him as he waited for someone else in his group to show up.

Tess was up and waiting for Rin to finish in the bathroom, having perched in one of the chairs by the window with her legs crossed and her chin propped in one hand.
"Thanks again for letting me crash here." She said after a bit, loud enough to be heard through the bathroom door. "And sorry for kicking Marcus out, kinda feel bad about it now..." Were those carriers on the horizon? Tess frowned, leaning forward slightly to try and get a better look at the horizon line over the water. There was something moving there, faded almost smudged really. Like stealth tech or whatever. Huh, odd.
Marcus shrugged. "Eh, he's not that bad. He just likes to feel like he's got some control. Some psych thing or whatever. Really? I just think he's a dick to people so that if they go, or he does, there's less of a mess. Heard him talkin about that with Kyle one time."

"Not really...I mean, we hugged and are pretty familiar with each other. Still though, woukd Marcus flip out if you hugged a guy and kissed him on the cheek?". Tess challenged, " besides he's always making eyes at other girls and walking around shirtless and shit. Oh! And being really classy with innuendo by the way. It's riveting conversation. ". Here she made a face before sighing boredly

"Yeah...totally got me convinced." Sighed Marcus. He sat in silence for a bit before pulling a water bottle out if his pack and opening it. "Wanna talk about or are we just gonna bs here till they find us?"

Tess looked pointedly over at Rin. "If he likes me, then he should do something about it. Really it's not like I'm actually looking actively fit anyone else. And Cas? Pretty sure he's hooking up with Phantom or whatever his name is. We're friends, that's it. Am I not allowed to have friends that are guys while the cigar chewing shirtless idiot is watching?"

"Hey hes not that bad" Scoffed Marcus as he left them, waving before turning and heading down the path to the water. It didnt take him long to catch sight of the man. Even though he didnt really know Richard well, he was easy enough to recognize and once he had spotted him Marcus walked right up to him.
"Hey, Hows the sulkin." He asked conversationally, dropping his pack and taking a seat on the sand next to him.

"Guys are such a pain" Muttered Tess. "Cant even been friends with two without them sizing each other up, I swear I though he was gonna try to tackle Cas at one point." Pulling her hair back, Tess walked alongside Rin and kept an eye out for anything familiar.
Kyle Terra, 24

Banshee Squad Leader

Call Sign : Phantom

Description: Tall with broad shoulders and tanned skin. Short dark hair and grey eyes that seem to stare right into you. not much you can hide from a phantom, after all. A crooked jaw, result of it being broken at one point, but some say it adds a bit of a roguish look to his appearance. Which he does not complain about. Also has a red tattoo about his right eye, a spiked half circle above the eye going one way, a mirrored image below it.

Personality: Can come across as cold and calculating sometimes, like when dealing with superiors or people he doesnt particularly like. Other wise he acts pretty laid back and mellow, quick to mouth off and throw a few punches when he has to knock his people in line.

Weakness: Sometimes can demand to much of his people, his expectations being to high or unrealistic. Also seems to have some backed up issues regarding his past and some ptsd. But he doesnt let it show, or get in the way. Its a secret.

History: Mostly blacked out, thanks to the military, even though he has a brief military career. Joined up when he was 18.

Casper DelRoic, 20 (And 6 months!)

Banshee Striker

Call Sign: Ghost

Description: Casper isnt exactly a tall guy, built much like Marcus with lean frames and visible tension at all times in his shoulders despite his relaxed demeanor. Dark brown hair he keeps cut pretty short with muddy green dark eyes that always seem to be smirking. Sharp features and high cheek bones, with three parallel solid lines tattooed lengthwise on his cheeks. These are just the most obvious of many that he has covering his body.

Personality: Smarmy, sarcastic, cheerful. He moves about interacting with people in what seems a friendly manner while really he is judging and attempting to manipulate almost everyone he encounters. Marcus almost fell pray to this before being warned by Kyle of Casper's nature. Casper doesnt make friends, he makes acquaintances. Good friends are to much of a hassle in his opinion. They leave a mess when you or they get killed. Acquaintances are much easier. Although he seems to be breaking this rule with his squad mates, becoming more reliant and dependent on them as the months go by.

Weakness: Inability to connect with people on meaningful levels. Sometimes his mouth gets in his way and he can act more out of emotion and passion then actual thought or logic. Sometimes, because of this, Kyle has to keep him on a pretty short leash. Prone to get into trouble.

History: The closest thing I can think of to use as a reference for hiss family background would be Mennonites. Cas was sort of a sore thumb amongst them, or black sheep whatever floats your boat. He got his first facial tattoo to piss off his parents when they first told him their plans for him. An arranged marriage and life, all laid out nice and neat and crisp. A fan of messes, Casper ran away when he was fifteen and lied about his age and background to get into the army when he was 17. Eventually found his way into Kyle's squad.

Manson Chad, 21

Banshee Striker

Call Sign: Wraith

Description: The bulkiest of the crew although not ridiculously so, broad and tall with a square jaw and a nose thats clearly taken a break or two. Blonde hair blue eyes, nothing to astounding to look at but not bad either. Every move he makes seems to be restrained slightly like he has to calculate and think it all out.

Personality: The least chatty out of the four of them which doesnt say much, so pretty normal in that regard. Likes to keep to himself when around strangers but open enough with the other three. Defensive when it comes to them, maybe even jealous of their interactions with people outside of the squad. Easy enough to handle and get along with though once youre friends with him.

Weakness: Strong headed, opinionated and not afraid to voice those opinions. Loudly. And at times, angrily. Often it gets him toe to toe with Casper or Kyle, rarely having conflicts with Marcus, but the Squad Leader is quick to deal out 'swift justice' or 'marshall law' (Is what he likes to call a few punches to knock them in line). Things dont usually get to out of hand.

History: Like Marcus he went to the academy, graduating and has spent all his time as a ground soldier. A pretty basic family background and history, following in the footsteps of his uncles.
