Hiro was taken a bit aback by another arrival. Apparently, in addition to another team and a Kumo chunin, they would also be joined by a strange masked shinobi. Hiro eyed the mask, trying to recall what it meant. An... ANBU? Something like that. Are they coming, too? The man gave a rather stinging analysis of both Mizuraki-sensei and the team, comparing them to the more Spartan Ichika-sensei. He couldn't help but begin to feel insecure about himself and his own abilities. First the chunin had remarked on the group as just kids, then this Hideo person outright stated that between the two teams, Mizuraki's was the lesser. Incompetent. He had withdrew within himself when he heard both Ichika-sensei and Mizuraki-sensei sharply respond to the man. It seemed he had ruffled quite a few feathers here, to the point where Mizuraki-sensei seemed ready to draw blood. When their exchange ended, she returned her attention to her team. Where once she had given them a cheerful and earnest greeting, she now looked all business. In that moment, Hiro felt an emotion he hadn't felt before surge through his chest.

Mizuraki-sensei began detailing the organization of their team and how they would cover each others weaknesses, coming up with a simple and easy-to-follow formation, but Hiro also could tell that it was dangerously effective. Is this what operating as a team was like? The emotion flared, and Hiro couldn't stop his eyebrows from narrowing or his lips to curve into a grin. He felt elation, excitement, and a little nervousness, but that feeling in his chest was different. A challenge was placed in front of him and for what felt like the first time in his life, he felt like his pride was on the line. Alongside Bakuto, it was his job to apply pressure on foes while Remi would decide the best tool for cementing victory. Their teacher then warned them against pursuing glory, and that filling their assigned role was instrumental in achieving success. Hiro committed this to memory, noting her grave tone. He nodded, giving her an energized "Yes, sensei!"

He looked over as Bakuto pointed out something that had been looming over the group: the absolute nonsense of this arrangement. This was a truly massive amount of manpower they had amassed. Even if the majority of the people were fresh-faced genin, they were with four older, stronger shinobi. On top of that, they were taking this force into the domain of another sovereign nation, one that was once an enemy. When Bakuto mentioned capture and touched his prosthetic arm, Hiro's heart froze and he had to fight the instinct to immediately grip his own arm as well. Remi pointed out that such a strange assignment must have been decided by the higher-ups, and probably as a last-minute shift. That notion resonated within Hiro as well. He swallowed the bit of fear that had built after Bakuto's comments and spoke up.

"As long as we stick to Mizuraki-sensei's instructions and work as a team, we'll get through this!" He smiled reassuringly at both teammates. "This is definitely pretty weird, and I wasn't anticipating these... numbers." He subtly, or possibly not as subtly as he thought, side-eyed Hideo, more out of a mild intimidation than any rudeness or dismissal. Despite only just being put on the team, he already felt like he had to show the ANBU that their team was far from incompetent. "But either way, this is a good chance to prove ourselves as competent shinobi. Plus, who knows? We might even impress the Hokage."

Hiro nodded when Bakuto turned down the orange. "No worries. I've got more food and some water here, so let me know if you need any." He wasted no further time and began enjoying one of the oranges, eating carefully to avoid covering his face and hands in the sticky sweet juice. He looked up from his snack as a pair of jonin appeared, and considering the large group of genin gathering at the gates, it was easy to assume they were two leaders and the squads would be separated and organized. He tossed the orange peel in a paper bag in his pack and stood at attention as the two jonin began to introduce themselves. One seemed infinitely more stern than the other, and Hiro couldn't help the feeling of relief that washed over him when he learned that the more laid back jonin was his sensei. He mentally checked himself for this assumption as another genin arrived, a nice-looking... ah, person? Hiro couldn't guess the gender of this arrival, but nonetheless they seemed like a kind enough person. However, the final arrival didn't make so great an impression. A silver-haired ninja apparently from the Cloud village appeared, loudly commenting on the gathering of young shinobi. Hiro stood and dusted off the seat of his pants, choosing not to be bothered by the Kumo-nin's initial comments. He expressed some concern over sending this many shinobi to his home village before introducing himself as Tenshi Hokori. Hiro shot Bakuto a puzzled look before stepping forward.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Mizuraki-sensei, Ichika-sensei, and Tenshi-san." He bowed politely to the both of them. "I'm Kazeyuurei Hiro, and even though I may be on the younger side, I'll do my best." The age comment was mostly to reassure Tenshi. He stepped back to where he was standing previously, self-conscious about having spoken in front of so many people.

Hiro opened his eyes and sat up in his bed, giving a very cat-like stretch as the early morning sunlight. He scratched the side of his face and looked over at the headband sitting on his bedside table. The sight of it caused a wide smile to spread across his face. Today was the day. He'd had a thoroughly unorthodox graduation, and he only knew of one other member of the squad Hiro was placed on, Uchiha Bakuto. Neither of them even knew who their jounin was. Hiro shook his head. That doesn't matter, he said to himself. We're finding out today, and then we're gonna be shinobi. With that thought he leapt out of bed, holding onto his optimism no matter how much the vague nature of the orders he'd received reminded him of his family. He shed out of his pajamas as he ran to the bathroom.

One shower later, Hiro was dressed and tying on his headband, wrapping his light scarf around his neck when he finished. Hanging from his back was a shoulder bag with water and fruit. He smacked his cheeks and slid open his bedroom window, taking in Konoha's lovely summer breeze, before leaping from the window and out onto the streets. Without any further ado, he made his way to the Village Gates, the specified location in the slip he was given. His pace was brisk, but controlled. He wanted to get to the gates as quickly as possible, and tried to do so without being a nuisance to the passerby lining the streets. He made it to the gates relatively quickly, but despite his hurried pace, he wasn't the first one to get here.

"Oh, Uchi-... err, Bakuto." He came to a halt a bit away from his teammate. "Sorry about that, I'll have to break the habit. I hope I didn't keep you waiting for very long." He smiled and scratched the back of his head. "Although, from the looks of things, it doesn't seem like our other teammate is here yet." He looked around, a puzzled look on his face. "Or... our teacher. Huh." He looked around, quickly scanning their surroundings. I know I'm not from here, but this doesn't feel normal. He shrugged. "Guess we're waiting then." He reached for his bag and withdrew a pair of oranges. "Orange? I, ah... forgot to eat breakfast."

On the left side of the room, somewhat towards the front, Kazeyuurei Hiro sat in his seat, stifling a light chuckle at Akimichi Chotzu's antics. Hiro enjoyed the atmosphere of Konoha and their academy. He knew he'd fallen in love with this village when he'd seen their abundance of trees (which was appropriate, given their namesake), but it went deeper than that. There was an energy here that was different than Suna. The sand would always be Hiro's home, but the leaf was certainly not without its charms. Their sensei's response to his disruptive behavior helped him stifle the laugh further, and he straightened up a little in his seat when she mentioned team assignments. Sure, they'd had a graduation ceremony, and he'd been given his hitai-ate, signifying his status as a shinobi, but being assigned a team made it real for Hiro. A team meant missions, putting his training thus far to use, it meant living Hiro's idea of a shinobi's life. Suffice it to say, he was incredibly excited. However, given their sensei's feelings towards disruptions, he stoppered that excitement somewhat.

Once Bohi-sensei had posted the team listings and dismissed the class, Hiro followed suit with the other fresh genin and leaned forward over the desk to get a better view of the placements, trying his best to ignore the various reactions of his classmates, including one cheerful crab boy. He spotted his own name grouped with the names of two other genin. "Uchiha Bakuto... huh?" He didn't know why only one name was grouped with his. Where he and Bakuto the only genin on their team? As for his teammate, he didn't know him well but knew him by reputation. The quiet kid with the Suna puppet prosthetic. There were a number of puppeteers in the Kazeyuurei clan, so he'd noticed the unique craftsmanship quickly. Part of Hiro felt bad for the older boy, as losing his arm must no doubt have hurt. Unless, of course, he'd been born that way. Hiro caught himself before he got too deep in creating an imaginary backstory for his new teammate and made his way over to talk to the boy.

"Um, hello!" He was a little awkward, but his smile was wide and genuine. "It's a pleasure to be on your team, Uchiha-san! I'll do my best to carry my weight!" He bowed politely.
