I think the compromise suggested is pretty solid.

Avoid the weapons/armor being military, unless he stole them (with an explanation). If he had to buy military gear (other than the armor with faulty rocket boosts), especially new and fully functional, I'd cut one or two of the other items and replace them with a different weapon/armor/item or a shoddy version of the same thing. He's probably better for cash than, say, a quarian used to being near broke the majority of the time, so I could see him getting a couple things from the black market after saving a lot of credits for 9 years (and saving more later).

And no thermal clips.

Otherwise you're pretty much set to get in. Just need to figure out when your turian gets thrown into things.

I checked the dates, they all fit the timeline. Born 2145, he was 12 in 2157 (First Contact War), joined 2160 (roughly) at 15. Got discharged/"left willingly" early at 2169(-2170 maybe) at 24. They're normally let off the hook at 30, but they normally don't get in Fornax maganzines, so I assume that's intentional.

I thiink most of the (latest) IC's recoverable. At the time, I just figured people'd mostly care about 7 and 9. :P

We could still write a summary of what happened on 8 and (the rest of 9), if the rest is there, though.

Ha, Nova turning someone down because of a sketchy or shameful background. That never happens.

I'd say the only way he'd hear about Nova is if he happened to be around in their most recent dealings. E.g. Pissing off the Blue Suns, pissing off the asari chick at Omega, getting the weapons from the Blue Suns and giving it to an old contact of Kasyra's, getting contacted by the turian military for a job they haven't done so far. Soon to piss off Luek.

Except for the turian that represented the military, I don't think any of those guys know more than a little about Nova, and probably don't know their names. Or what their ship is.

So far, Mark is a people person the same way Karnak is. He detests people's presence, but they seem to gravitate to him despite/because of the fact. Like cats.
