Chuck Norris is a talentless hag. Why would anyone want to be named after that wash-up?

Nostalgia for the 90's/early 00's.
Hey, sorry this took so long, Joytex. Just gonna put this thing in the hider for easy reference. :]

This looks solid and has some cool ideas. :] Always a good sign to see a krogan that isn't the run of the mill perfect bad ass. Though I haven't checked the specific equipment in detail. So long as it fits pre-ME1 or roughly around ME1 tech, or is otherwise justified, it's good.

On losing the crest: This is fine, younger krogan (e.g. Grunt) show that the skull doesn't need a full crest. Only tricky part is that I believe the way Zaeed talked about ripping off the front plate suggested it was a killing blow, and completely losing the crest might be fatal from opening the skull/death turtle-style.

Only other issue is the rite of passage used in the bio is specific to the Urdnot clan:
" A clan name is bestowed after krogan complete the rite of passage of the clan they wish to join."
" Young krogan undergo a rite of passage that is overseen by a shaman respective to the clan the krogan wishes to join. In Clan Urdnot, this rite consists of battling various wild fauna on Tuchanka, ending with an encounter with a thresher maw. Merely surviving for five minutes is considered proof of worthiness, but killing the thresher maw increases the initiate's prestige and standing."

So you'd either need to edit that, or do something similar and justify why.

I should let y'all know that I can't use Piratepad. PMs would work best.

Which makes that particular decision easy.

@Tick: People are speaking about blocklists for specific threads only - you can only keep people posting in a thread you started, they will still be ale to post everywhere else -, not forumwide bans.

It's only for specific threads, but any OP'er in any thread throughout the entire forum can do it. Which is what I refer to when I say "forum-wide."
Apologies if that's off.
I'm uneasy about a blacklist, especially forum-wide. A PM is private, it's meant to be exclusive just to get something done or goof off with the specific people involved. It's minimal. Forums are supposed to be public discourse where people can participate so long as they follow basic rules.

**There's douchebags that can hurt or ruin a thread. But there's also OP'ers (and GMs) that are douchebags that can hurt or ruin a thread. Giving someone the ability to ban anyone on their own whims is a bad idea. Even those well-intentioned will arguably screw up on that end, where they ban the slightest conflict, or ban something in favor of their own opinions (e.g. someone on one side of the argument between people that were upset about/complained/criticized RPG's long downtime and wipe and people who didn't like the former group's actions).

It's an issue of censorship and elitism (almost a trigger word with the donations talk, but it fits). Members could completely block out others just because they rub them the wrong way, or because those people don't agree with them. It could establish more official cliques than just the same people tending to hang in the same circles around the forum, which leads to some superiority complexes and categorization.

Why the report button works, under a good staff, is that it spots someone maybe breaking the basic rules of conduct, and goes through a filter of someone who is less biased, knows the rules better, and whose goal it is to keep those rules in check enough to make things fair and civil.

***Just get the report button back. RPG is a good place. The staff is solid, they don't screw people over because of favorites or pettiness, and most of the members here are decent and not that bad. Even the douchebags are usually mild douchebags. Very few hang around (a) thread(s) just to personally attack and harass other people.
Glad to be of service, Jenno. :]

I've just realised that this new tab system might wreck havoc with our dual-IC threads for the main story and the Shadow Broker threads.I guess we'll have to put up with a Shadow Broker OOC too, eh?

That or PMs. It's exactly like public posts thus far. Issue with that is the fact that any time we add or remove a user, it requires a new thread (e.g. made a thread for anyone in Nova, but you weren't around at the time, and I can't just add you directly to the thread).
Thinking on that, although peeps (including myself) think the PM idea's cool, I'd make the SB thread in Casual until that's fixed. Just because it sucks that members wouldn't be able to easily access old posts.
Noope. Got it with the rest of 'em. :] Steveo should be VI. in the CS list (going GameFAQs style so that it's easy to ctrl+F shiz with walls of text), so you can look it over to see if anything's missing.

EDIT: Thanks much, Mosis. :D Info's gonna be useful.
So far, consensus appears to be for new members, so I'm putting that up in the OP. I'll take a proper look at the CS earlier. :]
Damo: Either sound like good ideas! You'd have the advantage of similar pasts/experiences to other characters, always a plus.

Good of you to join us, Grif. :'D

I think we need Mosis to get a post up or something, I know that's what I was waiting on before the guild died.If anyone else can post, that would be pretty grand!

Currently, Tzvi and Kygg will be reaching the security room. If Grif, Volt, and Voltaire are all up for a collab on PMs/PiratePad, I could start on the next post. :]

Or I could just start on my side of things and leave it up for grabs for whoever's got the time.

EDIT: Does anyone remember the details of the NPC's near/in the security room?
The issue is more on adding users than removing them. Though if a user doesn't play well with others, it would be a good feature to be able to remove/report them (I know the latter is something that's in the works).

I've fiddled with PMs and can't seem to find any way to edit a permissions list. Which would require making an new private topic any time there's a new user that should be involved (e.g. adding a new user to an RP PM for OC/IC purposes).

And if it's desired that everyone have access to all the previous, private posts (e.g. a private IC thread that a new user should have a chance at catching up on), it would require archiving all the threads in hiders for every new thread.

getting himself detained, thus making humans look doubly bad while Tanya tries to explain to the Hanar that humans aren't so bad. Which was hilarious.

Even better, she wasn't just saying they don't suck, she was bragging about all their good qualities. ;]
