Really good point, there Grif. Eezo's not a virus or bacteria; though I don't recall if they ever describe the biological impact it can have (besides death). Kinda funny that I didn't consider that at all. I'm either too used to the "quarian immune system = not happening" bit, or been out of biology way too long.

Gowi - Awesome. :] Good to hear there's progress.

Biotics make pretty blue colours in the sky.

Biotics make fantastic dubstep music.

Aww, I did not know I missed the Nova reunion. I'm in the same situation as Sir Enzyme more or less, hoping I have time to get my RP hat back on during the summer.

It'd be awesome to have you guys back around. :] I'm happy to help y'all in whatever way you need, if you ever decide to get back in gear for Nova.

Another take on why "everything else is ignored" is because there literally isn't enough players. A 1x1 RP has only two people - perfect for a romance story. If you check the non-romance 1x1s (such as fandoms or historical retellings) they sometimes come with the requirement that players need to take on more than one role. I for one, am able to take on multiple roles, but many RPers can't (or at least don't want to).

It's not a necessity to make a two-person story a romance. I could see it as convenient or easy to think up, but not necessary.
E.g. Two people (strangers/family/acquaintances) stuck on their own after some crisis, or both lost in the same place, trying to figure out how to survive/get out of said crisis.
Or a two-man mission of whatever kind.

Well, technically a Quarian biotic is possible, its just that the likelihood of one surviving even his or her first day of life is so minimal that you don't see them, not to mention the fact that the conditions required to give someone biotics occuring in the migrant fleet basically means your ships reactor just blew up....<- Gets that you guys are joking...<- Feels like explaining anyway, because its fun. xD

Canon talk is awesome. Carry on.

I could see a quarian maybe-somehow getting exposed to eezo if they were mining for the right company. Not sure how it'd get through the suit, though. And I always assumed it had to directly contact them/didn't radiate through anything.

Wait, Tanya's dead fiancee really became a quarian swindler? What a twist!

He was a quarian literally within a human.
Another thing to add to the list of Tanya's strange preferences.

Nobody told me we were having a Nova School reunion. Hi y'all. ^^*Grif scribbles up notes for a quarian biotic character*

"Gary's mother had an accident on her pilgrimage. She said it was the exposure to element zero."
"Gary became the most loved and feared member of quarian society due to his immensely powerful biotics, greater than an asari ranked in the top 20 of asari biotics."
"Gary was misunderstood and had some "problems," and got kicked out by bad people. Now he's thinking he should sell his shit to this Nova gang for gold."

Best way not to double post with the delay is to submit once, and before you do that make sure you have what you typed up saved. That way if it really didn't go through you still have it without posting too many times and killing people with crazy OCD

It's pretty hilarious to see the forum give a middle-finger to the long-held law that you should never post more than once (let alone the same damn thing).

And yeah, this is the best advice to follow. Every time I've gotten the white blank page, the post pops up later (up to an hour or more later, but it does show). If it's something you don't want to rewrite, you should copy and save it somewhere in the case it's needed again later.

Lately it seems that double posts happen frequently now, and posts sometime take around 3-7 minutes to actually show up...

Anyone else having these problems or am I just high as a kite and imagining all of this?

That's just your vision blurring. Natural after a few years of lemon abuse.
I was gonna wrap it up with a hello from the distress signal to set us up for the get-the-newbies segment. Seems like the natural progression of the RP.
But that won't be until at least after tomorrow afternoon. And if I can't get it done fast enough, not until Tuesday night or Wednesday.
The fact that 1x1 is flooded with romance RPs, and is known for that and its tendency to push or destroy the boundary for explicit sexual content, probably creates a vicious cycle where people there tend to look for it, and other don't bother looking. I know the couple times I've glanced through, I couldn't spot an RP that wasn't focused on a pairing.

Put the idea in the general interest check, and advertise it specifically as not AxB. That gives you a better chance on the audience.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to find a player you get along with that's willing to do it.
