Hell yeah!Anywho, Too, did you see my CS update? I need an opinion or two on it.

I really like it. Very fitting for a Grey Warden and perhaps one of the reasons Duncan picked you out.
@All A small edit for those considering mages. Zordon reminded me that I had neglected an important codex called The Cardinal Rules of Magic. Rather pathetic when one considers how many playthroughs I have under my nerd-belt. Anyways, teleportation among other things are not allowable. Please consult this codex when designing unique spell-lines or mage specializations.

I don't suppose a Griffin would be a fair advantage? Ha-ha, nah, wouldn't go with my characters history anyway. "And one day the brutal fighter came across a Griffin in a Denerim back-street on his way to The Pearl.":pOn another note, awesome, more interest!New advantage, currently unsure of it myself if I'm honest, opinions?

In a regular DA game I would never allow that but it's in keeping with the spirit of this game which is introducing unexpected elements into a cherished story. It would need a good write-up which explains why this one specimen survived and the griffon would not be able to function as transport at the start of the game for balance reasons. Either it is young or its wings are clipped or crippled.

Okay, I'm very interested in this. I'm tossing around a few ideas, but I'd like to PM you about the one at the forefront of my mind if that's okay.

No problem. I never mind talking about game stuff.
@wired I just noticed that your advantage is like WAY to broad. Being a hardened fighter doesn't set your character apart in a DA game because they are conflict based and everyone is a hardened fighter, except the mages maybe. An advantage should be something more specific than generally kicking ass, like an ability (berserker rage or pain tolerance for instance) or an item or an ally or some kind of special training that grants specific abilities (like a specialization).

Interested. Reserving.

Sure, though I'm more worried about getting enough players. I want a cast of at least six.

I intend to create an Orlesian Mage.

Completely doable. If you want to work out some storyline deviation where a small group of Orlesians have come, perhaps at the bidding of King Cailan, to help defend Ostagar, we can make that work. Or, you can go the easier route and just be a Grey Warden recruit.

Seems like my guy should be raised Dalish, as Arcane Warrior is an older Dalish mage class.

I'm glad you realized this. Yes, I want to stick to the idea of that specialization being a lost elven art so you need to explain how you came by it in your background.

I'm drawing blanks on what I should put for the bio...does the bio need to be long and thuper detailed?3:

One or two paragraphs minimum. Younger characters or those with simpler backstories would obviously need less info.

If you have a Arcane Warrior who became tranquil, it stands to reason that while he can no longer use magic, he would still be plenty handy with a sword...if there's plenty of tranquil being trained for administrative stuffs, organising, cleaning, etc, why not have one excel at what he is still slightly better in? Heck, he could be a useful sparring partner at times (or a completely logical and emotionless assassin if you think about it). Now, if you put a logical motivation up in the air, as in...stopping the blight will need more warriors to fight for the cause, it wouldn't be entirely crazy for a tranquil to decide that the logical thing to do is to aid the group, even if the situations and combat to come are uncomfortable.Of course, I could just hire him to procure you specific items/weapons/armour.The Tranquil can leave anytime they want, it stands to reason that at least one or two would leave...emotions or not, passions or not.

That could work so long as it is all explained and makes sense in the background. The main thing is being able to explain their actions from the basis of being an unemotional servant of the Circle and I can see you're already considering that.

Interested in a Dalish Mage?

That's fine. Since this is a remix I'm very open to anything. In fact I'm encouraging departures from the norm. Just mind the lore.

@wired Looks good. Very detailed. Accepted

I'm making a Tranquil character...?

Could be interesting. If you can make it work without shitting all over the lore, I'm cool with it.
