*pokes thread* H-hello? Anybody on?
Cool! :)
That was when the firetrucks and the cops came. He didnt know what happened to SnakeStriker, he just vanished like he always do, probably hiding in his den. But the Commander didnt care about him. He was just glad the situation was already under control.

"Commander." A little voiced called, and then he felt a light tug in his cape, the Commander looked down and saw the little girl he just saved. "Thank you for saving me." She said. That made him smile a little.

He knelt down in one knee, so his face is at the level of the little girl's, he touched her on the shoulder, squeezed lightly, "It was my job to save and protect good girls like you." He gave her a genuine smile, "Now, run along to your momma. She's probably worried sick about you." The kid smiled, leaned towards him, and gave him quick peck on his left cheek. The Commander chuckled. "This is what makes this work worth it."

Nick was on his way home when he's phone beeped again. "Ugh, what now?" He fished for his phone in his pockets. And when he finally got it, he read the message. It was from Nancy. She wants to have a coffee, and yes, she's collecting the payment for her favor earlier that day. Nick thumb a reply, "Fine. Meet me at the Tavern. Now."

The Tavern was this coffee shop slash bar he used to go when he wanted a drink or coffee. The place wasnt all that huge, just a little bar, a small stage for the live band, a few tables inside and outside the establishment. What he liked about the place is the privacy. During weekends, there seem only a few customers there, a few familiar faces, not much of a crowd. But on most days, it was almost empty.

Nick arrived at the Tavern ten minutes earlier. He choose to sit at the far back of the shop, he prefers there so he can see anyone who's coming and going. He called for the waitress, and ordered himself a cup coffee. He sat and waited for Nancy for what seemed like hours, and then his phone beeped. The message reads, "Sorry cant make it. Emergency at the hospital. Please dont get mad at me. - Nancy"

"Great. Just great!" Nick exclaimed a little louder than he intended. A few customers looked at him, but he didnt care. Nick sat there a little longer. Waiting for someone who wouldnt come. The man sighed.
Posted. Oh hey, btw what timezone are you, and what time do you usually go online? So I know when go online too. :)
The snake caught him by surprise, knocking him off balance. Luckily he managed to cushion his fall with his power, propeling himself off the floor slightly so the impact wouldnt disturb the building into collapsing. "God, I hate snakes!" The Commander hissed under his breath.

Several of the SnakeStriker's creatures were already unto him before he could even lift himself off the ground. The Commander willed himself to focused his powers on several lose objects around him - debris, burning wood, and furnitures. Once the creatures were near enough, one by one, the Commander let go of the objects like bullets, raining down the monstrosities with deathly blows one after the other. Some were taken down, and exploded into ashes. But the Snake just kept on calling for more. "I love to stay, but I have a date to catch." He said, and with his full power he lifted a fallen column off the floor and with a flick of his hand, threw the whole thing towards SnakeStriker.

He didnt even check whether it hit him or not, he just ran towards the third floor, to the second door near the stairs. The smoke was so thick now it was almost impossible to see ahead for a few feet. It was no different inside the flat. The ceiling already caved, so that only gives him moments to find the girl.

"Help!!!!" The little girl screamed.

"Where are you!!" The Commander shouted back as he tries to clear a path. Then something knocked him from the back. It threw him off face first further towards the room. The building creaked. He turned over, and felt a stabbing pain in his rib cage, a broken bone probably. As he looked up, the snake was already on him, towering over him, hissing and baring its fang angrily. And then he saw her. The kid was hiding under the living room table. The Commander gave her a look, and then slightly shook his head. The kid understood, and nodded.

As soon as he got a chance, the Commander sent a solid upper cut to the snake. It flew several feet off the ground, and then burst into ashes. "Come now. " he said to the little girl. The kid came out of her hiding place, she wasnt crying she just looks shocked, and scared. Thats good. He scooped the girl in his strong arms, and then headed out towards the door.
Posted! Sorry it took me so long.
SnakeStriker. You bloody bastard! The Commander thought irritably as he zipped through Metrotown's mid-afternoon skyline. Nick was in the middle of performing a very sensitive case of eye surgery when his phone beeped. It usually means two things when his phone beeps: one, his late for work; two, town's in trouble. In this case, its the latter.

Thank God, there was Nancy who's willing to cover for him. She's always had this huge crush on Nick, although she hasnt exactly told him that, it was pretty obvious. So when Nick asked her, she was more than willing to take over the surgery. He made a mental note to treat her at the Tavern later to make it up to her.

As he neared the vicinity, the Commander saw it was worst than he expected. Three buildings were on fire, and one building looks like its about to collapse. Damn that Snake!

Firetrucks hasnt reached the vicinity yet. It may take a while before they arrive. I must do something with the crowd first. The Commander thought. Since the police hasn't arrived yet, no one has cordoned the area, and couple of gawkers were still loitering near the burning buildings.

"Alright, people!" The Commander shouted over the noise, "Show's over. I need you to step aside please! That's right. Move over! Go! Go! Go!"

"Commander!" One woman called below, there was desperation in her voice, "My daughter's still inside the building! Please, please help her!!"

The Commander hovered over her, and gave her a reassuring smile, "Tell me where she is."

"Our flat is in the second building, third floor, the second door near the stairs. Please save her!!"

Just as she was about to finish her last sentence, the Commander has already bolted in towards the burning building. There was something in the fire that doesnt sit right in him. He knew he's somewhere in this burning inferno, waiting for his first chance to strike, but where? The Commander decided to shove the idea of him for now, he's got some little girl to save.

He flew in as quickly as he can, repelling any obstructions in the way with his mind. The building creaked dangerously around him. He knew its only a matter of seconds before it collapse. And then he heard something move on his far left, something made a scratching sound, or was that slithering he heard? When nothing happened, he decided to ignore it and push to the third floor of the building.

"Help!!!" A little voiced screamed in the distance.

"I'm coming little girl!!" The Commander called back.

((sorry I got carried away it seems))
