Alexandrite looked towards what seemed like a floating island with a large building in the center. With a spring in her step, she ran up to get a closer look, and found herself in awe. It was something she hadn't seen before- and it certainly piqued her interest.
A comfortably familiar warmth spread around the soles of her feet, and she jumped. Synchronizing it, she released her concentrated flames just as she leaped and accelerated herself so that she rocketed into the sky, getting a clearer, overhead view of her new school. She could already spot little dots along the campus, and she assumed they were people. She fell back down towards the island and eased herself onto the ground with the help of her flames, all the while with a smile on her face. This is going to be so much fun!
While she was wandering about, she found another person who settled herself on a tree. Her eyes sparkled in excitement, and she jogged towards her, stopping around the base of the tree. Alexandrite looked up at her, and waved with a cheerful smile, "Hello!"

Her outfit consists of a blue dress that ends above her knees, black tights underneath, and brown loafers. She carries around a white and yellow satchel. (This'll have to suffice until I get the inspiration to draw.)

Appearance: Alexandrite has shoulder-length platinum blond hair, and unique eyes that share characteristics with an alexandrite, which she was named after. Her skin is fairly pale, and is seemingly unblemished except for the faded scars on her arms. She usually dons a sundress that ends around her knees with a jacket of some sort on top, and then boots.
Height: 4’11’
Build: Petite
Markings: None
Personality: Alexandrite is an energetic girl with an extremely curious mind, and almost always has a smile on her face. She is easily fascinated, even by the smallest and simplest of things. Once something piques her interest, she hardly ever stops until she understands it. She seems to have little, if any, sense of danger and always obliviously (recklessly) charges into dangerous situations.
Due to her childhood, or lack of one, she has trouble knowing what is right and what is wrong, or what is logical and illogical. At times, she can have an unnerving, almost psychotic atmosphere around her, and she seems to have no qualms about setting things on fire- or even killing others.
History: Her memories are hazy, and all she remembers is the name she was given by some woman, "Ignis," and small fragments of her life before she found herself in Kalmaysia Academy.
Powers: Fire
She can freely control/conjure fire, and her own flames do not hurt her. Her flames can be formed into melee weapons and even a bow. They can also be used to propel her and accelerate her movements. Her favorite thing to do with her fire happens to be concentrating it into a small point before releasing it, and causing a large scale explosion. (“It’s fun- and pretty, too!” she says.)

Sorry, it looks like I'll have to pull out of this RP... School is taking up all of my time, and even though it's spring break right now, I have loads of homework along with other built-up projects. So, with that said, thanks for letting me join. I had fun. :>
Luckily, Alexandrite managed to sneak into the back of the room before the teacher began the lesson, and she took a seat somewhat closer to the wall and door. She tried her best to pay attention, she really did, but her thoughts began to drift towards the rather odd atmosphere she noticed when she walked into the class.
It was faint, but she felt that something was off- and that she just missed something that could be important.

Alexandrite followed after Lauren out of the main building, along with her fellow members. She caught the tablet-type device in her hands, and looked at it skeptically before doing as she was told. She then passed it to the next member.
