the man wraps an arm around her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her as he says quietly yet calmly despite being in an odd situation for him "you have nothing to be afraid of. there is no more curse, there is no more "impending doom", the scales are just a part of you now just like your arms or legs and they'll respond to your will if it's strong enough... tell you what, how about i teach you something that i developed myself?" the man adds the last part after a bit of thought, actually offering to teach her something the way most people teach things instead of using the "watch and learn" method like he had been

"After I killed a gorgon, with her last dying breath, she cursed me to turn into a gorgon, so I would forever be alone...." She says. "The pills I take reprogram my cells....reversing the effects." She says.

"and i take it you're afraid of that?" the man asks evenly, noting her actions and mannerisms especially surrounding her scales and wishing to be covered up most of the time. the man nibbles at one of the rice balls as he listens to her, lifting his mask just enough to bare his mask while still being able to see

"Y-yea..." She says, taking it and chomping it. "Thanks." She adds, chewing the rice ball. She half liked it, but it wasn't anything special.

"listen, it's obvious that i need to know more about you... but since i know very little i'm going to start with what little i do know. tell me about your curse?" the man asks evenly and despite he's calm tone she could tell her was wary about the subject

Solaire sorta gives it an odd look, and he looks at the back of the case.
"What the...." He starts.

Delta is sitting on her bed, tapping her foot against the floor, and when she sees the man with the food, she smiles a bit.
"Hia." She says.

"hey, you ok?" the man asks evenly, his voice calm as he shuts the door and walks over to sit on the bed next to her, offering a rice ball as he gets ready to speak with her for quite a while

"...no...I've never played a video game..." He says.

the man simply hands him a copy of dark souls for the pc before continuing on making sweet rice balls and going over to delta's room before knocking on the door, leaving solaire with a fourth wall break

"ever played a game called dark souls?" the man asks evenly as he starts making some sweets from an odd purple-ish paste

Delta sighs, and gently kicks Solaire's side.
"So, sun nut, you thought you were gonna ride in and save me?" She asks, sorta smiling at him. He shrugs, his hands healing slowly.
"....I..need some time to think." She says, before heading off to her room. Solaire pulls out a odd looking feather, and looks at the man.
"I take it I can leave now?" He asks.

the man removes a paper tag from underneath solaire's pauldron before nodding to him as he replies with "alright, but we need to have a talk" as he goes to the kitchen to make something, leaving solaire to his own devices

Solaire grunts, before Delta, walks over and rips the Katana out of his hands, keeping them hole..
"What the hell?!" She yells, obviously upset. "That was uncalled for Solaire, why did you attack him?"
She asks."I found something..to heal your curse....but he stole it...." Solaire says. This makes Delta look at the man. "Is this true?" She asks.

"at this point "healing your curse" would remove the powers i have given you and not allow me to teach you to the fullest. further more i have already put things in place so that i could teach you to learn to control your "curse" so that you would still have the power without any of the fear, but when i suggested letting you choose he said he would force the change upon you before threatening me when i attempted to allow you free will" the man replies, saying the word curse with small air quotes as if the label no longer applied to her condition and leaving no details out or lying although the anger at solaire was fading from his voice as he explained the situation, giving the impression that it was difficult to be angery around her. he retreives his katana and cleans it before sheathing it as he speaks

"And you are being an ass." He growls, as he attempts to punch his knee in.

"be happy delta likes you or you'd be dead now" the man says with complete rage bleeding through his tone as he uses his uses his feet to bring solaire's hands over the other before driving his katana straight through both, rendering him incapable of getting away without cutting his hands in half as the blade drains his magic and strength

Solaire gets up, but as he does so he slashes with his sword, intending to lop off the man's right foot."That's it!" He roars.

the sword snaps off at the hilt, the remaining metal on the hilt red hot showing exactly why it snapped off before the man steps on solaire's hand breaking it as he states, his voice finally showing the first emotion sense i started using him as a char: anger. "you're overstating your welcome"
