"what little i've learned has been more of adaptations on barrier and medical magic" she says evenly as she tosses a small clay ball in the air and points her wand at it. when it falls into her lap it's split into six peices. she molds the clay back into a ball as she adds "i drink when i need to relax, and i needed to relax last night" in an even tone, her voice having acclimated as if she'd begun to trust him a little more and her hangover had dissipated somewhat. she tosses the ball up again before pointing her wand at it and surrounding it in a cube barrier before collapsing it rapidly, causing the ball to hyper compact and rip a small hole in her robe as it falls back down. "and that's about all i've got..." she says evenly with a sigh as she tries to form a fireball again and just ends up collapsing it again, seeming to have difficulty sustaining a projectile like the fireball however she showed zero difficulty sustaining a barrier, most likely meaning the difficulty she was having was with the phase shift from raw magic to fire while still being able to sustain it long enough to actually use it
