The path

at seeing the strangers and mihai'en's reluctance to hide shiro steps out of the bushes quietly, his sword drawn but held limply at his side as he second guesses his senses. had they failed him? unlikely, shiro had always been able to rely on his senses before, but if that was so then why did they fail him now? shiro ponders such things silently, remaining silent up to the point the first skeleton walks into the forest clearing behind him and thrusts a sword into him, catching him unaware due to his lack of faith in his senses that had been caused by the twin's appearence. shiro lets out a small cry of pain as he's stabbed through the chest, the sword peircing one of his lungs causing him to gasp for breath and choke as the injured lung fills with blood however, unfortunately the sword is left in due to the skeleton's inability to remove it causing shiro to fall over onto the ground as more skeletons fill the clearing and unlike the first's unfortunate state, these ones were armed and turning on both the twins and mihai'en

I suppose so, but this isn't really a tabletop RPG, with rolls, and everything. This is a play by post, mostly focusing on story and character development. If it weren't, we'd get a hint at to how difficult an opponent might be, and what not. In this, what determines if you hit and NPC is whether or not you think you hit an NPC. You might hit them because you hit them, or you might miss them because it adds an interesting plot mechanic.
I get where you coming from and everything, but this is whole board is just a way to have some fun. And besides, creating characters even in tabletop RPGs with the intent of giving them "usefull" skills is known as min-maxing, and is totally LAAAAAME. The best games I've ever played are the ones where everyone's just being awesome, polite, and having a fuckton of fun with their characters.

true and it is quite, fun when you can just hang back and fuck around but i just need to say this. if you really want to get into how hard an npc is to take on then ask me, the gm has told me that i'm to take care of the actual stats behind monsters (which are just templates and can be edited for flavor and flair) such as the skelton mage. i can tell you that while it's phyisically weak and just as fragile as any other skeleton, unlike other skeles they have a tendency of firing beams of death magic at you

Useful is less important the interesting. This is an RP, mate, it doesn't matter what a char's skills are, or how powerful they are, just so long as you can RP them well.

i know that, but i'm partially treating it like an rpg and reviewing people's abilities for a dungeon raid (probably doesn't help that the creator has made many points towards the fact that he designed the world and creatures sort of like a more varied and open wow) so, interesting though they may be, it's going to be difficult if they're not really useful sadly :/

I've completely lost count of the sheer number of people on the RP, so if two guys go off, doing their own thing, while everyone else it doing something entirely different, it would get a bit weird. Not saying that your ideas are bad, just that, you know, the more the merrier!

true, and honestly i would prefer about 4-5 people for our little excursion, but we need lowkey to introduce her chars before we can add more and even after that, after looking over her chars abilities they don't really seem all that useful >.>

but originally i was thinking of bumping into a few people along the way and getting the group together for the dungeon run so i had no real intention of having there be just two of us unless it couldn't be helped :/

Hey, why not let LowKey in here? Instead of it being zombies, why not her two characters? It's a good way to introduce them, it increases the size of the group, and it's less awkward than someone just barging in out of nowhere.

i did have something planned as something of an adventure for shiro and mithai'el into a tomb of a powerful mage but if lowkey really wants too then she can but i'd advise caution as the undead in the fog are quite hostile :P

i understand that but in all honestly i'm saying i'm putting effort into these posts simply because i used to not put this much effort into them. so it annoys me when people ask fora recap but i understand however i can only tell you what two chars have done. my character (shiro) has made camp with and introduced himself to MZambos's char mihai'en before agreeing to take him to town the next day and going to bed. the next morning as they were setting out there was a profound still that caused an unsettling feeling through out the entire forest and currently the shiro/mihai'en group is hiding in the bushes and waiting for some undead to pass by... or at least i'm waiting for mihai'en to do so so i can get on with bringing the group to their first dungeon

Who knows? Wasn't he unconscious? I don't think it would be all that hard for someone to do something to him. Especially with that fog that both me and Tyki both wanted to place in there without any prior agreement.

true, also i had plans with that fog damnit x_-
and anyway, there's two separate groups which means that shiro and mihai'en wouldn't have known or seen creed go (also get on steam damnit)
