the thing is... lore wise they should be able to take over the sc universe no problem... but a force like that would make for a massively unbalanced system....

Actually, the zerg carapace is about as strong as steel, maybe a little more so. Don't forget that a marine can destroy a zerg in 4-6 hits.

actually the zerg carapace is on a level that is mountains above steel. a marine's rifle can actually punch a hole through steel without any difficulty.

not the explosion but the radiation. in many games between tiny and myself i've nuked the hell out of his zerg structures and units while they've shown zero effect from the radioactive fallout

Like Erza, he can often match Natsu, using his Secret Dragon Slayer Technique. The zerg are like crackers before these guys. There are multiple scenes where they tear through entire mountains.Makarov takes ten seconds total to charge up Fairy Law. Ten seconds. Even the greatest Zerg Rush can't beat that.Natsu's most powerful attack was able to push Gilarts backwards three feet. This dude is unstopable. He'd wipe out the average zerg army with a single strike.Oh, and I forgot Laxus, who's even more powerful than Natsu is. He can move at lightning speed, and burn through Zerg with ease, frying their little brains out.

the zerg can take repeated lightning strikes and have in the past. roaches can move undetected up to the point they attack, killing makarov. the zerg are immune to temperature as is proven by some species of feral zerg living in lava while every strain is capable of deep space travel. she still can't get through their carapace (again a case of underestimating how fucking tough something is) gajeel might kill some of them but up against something like hydralisks or even banelings he's boned. and natsu's one trick is fire... which would be canceled by the countless other powers the zerg would have by the time of reaching the city

the zerg will never actually die do to old age, nukes, fission, etc. you have to actually physically obliterate them in order to stop them

it can stop repeated tank shellings and then kill the tank.... which can destroy apartment complex sized mechs with just one to two shellings...

Gildarts. Destroys anything he touches, capable of wiping out entire islands. Makarov, using Fairy Law, can wipe out anything that isn't an ally. Gajeel, Erza, and Gray will all be preventing you from killing Natsu, which you need to do in order to gain his powers. Furthermore, it's quite likely that the other Guilds would help out Fairy Tail, meaning you might even get to fight more Saint-Mages.

swarm... as in metric fucktons... none of those four are able to break through their carapace. makarov takes an ungodly amount of time to charge up fairy law, and gildarts can't kill them all before they kill him. and by the time the other guilds come fairy tale and the surrounding town would be infested
