Name: Berthellemy Rainaldus Race: Human Age: 23 Gender: Male Equipment: Black/Gray Robes, Silver Cross, and a bag of miscellaneous tools used in the wilderness. Magic: Sacred Magic Heir of Life - Heals an ally, how much it heals them depends on how long the spell is recited before it is casted. Transparent Knight - enhances an ally's defense against both physical and magical attacks. Purification through Flame - Creates a holy flame within his cross that dispels/purifies malevolent creatures and spirits. Sinner's Burn - Enchants Berthellemy's cross with regular fire, allowing him to burn and incinerate flesh and the living. Spell Breaker - Enchants his cross with a holy light that can dispel curses, weaker magics, as well as spells that enhance the enemy. Can also be used as a source of light! Woah! Can be used in combination with purification through flame or sinner's burn. Cleric's Gift - A passive magic that increases his ability to recover from magic damage. Bio: Berthellemy was an orphan for most of his early life, and was adopted by a church multiple towns away from where he was born. They were a travelling group, that found him on their way home. One of the priests had taken a liking to the boy, and had decided to give him a life that would be better then that of one raised on the streets. Berthellemy was quite happy to have someone choose him and want to help him, so he quickly took a liking back to the priest. He was raised as one of the church's own, even though he didn't always follow their beliefs and understand why they did what they did. Berthellemy wasn't proficient with magic, but was ecstatic to know he could be part of the magic clergy if he was willing to study. Not only was he willing to study, he was also willing to go the extra-mile and could usually be found pestering some of the experienced members about wanting to help them out and keep them in practice. It took some time, but eventually Berthellemy was able to rise through the ranks and learn his stuff. Although some of his brethren were not all that excited in his willingness to study combative magics, he believed he was doing what he thought was necessary. One firm belief he had that separated him from the others, was that violence is sometimes the only solution. As he continued to grow, he eventually began to work directly under the man who had raised him. Together, they did their best to help out those who were suffering or needed assistance. Berthellemy wasn't as always as smooth or wise as his elder, but he certainly did impact lives. However this would all eventually come to an end when the priest was met by a group of survivors who hailed from near Ember Peaks. He heard their tales, and gathered a few other members of the clergy and went to find out what truly was causing these attacks. They were never to return, only ashes and molten metal were left of the good men. It was at this time that the city council began to offer rewards to those who would stop the beast. Berthellemy went to join those who wanted the reward, hoping to claim a portion of itself, as well as for other reasons. Part of it was the want to help those who suffer because of the beast, another to gather funds for his people, and the third was revenge, something he is not ashamed to admit.
Ok, thanks! If things go smoothly it should be done by the end of the hour.
Hey Brave, how many spells would it be ok for some kinda sacred magic user to have?

Avon Ruhame
At another spot in the city, near a flower peddler and a cobbler there was a bulletin board type of wall, and across it were an array of job offers and other posters, plus one really obnoxiously red one near the center. Avon found himself giving these posters a good once-over, he needed a temporary job and was hoping to find something both fun and well-paying. Unfortunately those two usually don't come hand-in-hand, which usually meant he had to choose between them. Usually he would choose something that payed better, but now he was in the mood for something not existentially boorish. This was ok, though, because the obnoxiously red one had everything but boring all over it! Now, Avon wasn't too great of a reader, not having used that skill in almost half a year unless it came to signs with one to two words on it. But he could work out the poster for the most part. It took him a few minutes and many re-readings but he finally got the words down. It was definitely a job offer, one that had everything you would find in the beginning of some story parents would tell their young. It had a cool symbol that was easy to remember, offered fun and adventure, and the person offering had authority! Now, our young man has never met Hazael, but he heard about her from his father. He really looked up to her, and would have had no problems making her and her men their equipment. There was a bunch of gibberish at the bottom of the poster, Avon also gave that quite a look-over. But due to him only having rudimentary reading and writing skills in the first place he wasn't able to decipher it at all. It bothered him a bit, and gave him the motivation to refresh his readings skills and attempt to brush up, but he would eventually be ok with it. It didn't mean much to him, because planned on going to the gate for the meeting anyway. Hell, he could probably ask someone about it tomorrow and they'd be able to explain it to him.
I am interested, but how fast would this rp progress if you had it your way? The idea post per day/week ratio if u will.
wow fuck i missed a bunch while at school
Name: Avon L. Ruhame Nicknames/Titles: N/A Gender: Male Age: 20 Skills: Somewhat decent marksmanship, Climbing, Reading, repairing, and bargaining. Equipment: Twenty One Round Revolver with a bag of extra rounds. As well as a back-pack that contains his coin, some miscellaneous personals, and survival/climbing tools. Personality: Avon isn't an aggressive boy. If it wasn't due to his previous circumstances he wouldn't even carry a weapon on him at all. However, he he isn't a pacifist either. He doesn't take much too seriously and is just trying to enjoy himself and get by in life. Dreams and ambitions of wealth and power elude him for the most part, he just wants to travel and get to know people. He tries to be personable, and does his best to not make many enemies. Even when he gets pissed off, he often lacks some of the fortitude necessary to act upon his anger. This is both a flaw and a blessing to him. It allows him to think a little more before acting out, but also sometimes prohibits action when necessary. Biography: Born and raised in New Torrea, Avon lifed the life of the middle-class citizen, if such a word can be used in this situation. He and his parents worked as specialty gun-smiths, and were decent at it. They specialized in hand-guns, and were the go-to people when it came to customized weaponry. They could make almost any kind of hand-gun you want, so long as you had the money and the patience for it. However, not much of that matters now. Avon's father was 'persuaded' to help with the expansion. His skills as a gun-smith were needed to keep an edge over the country's newer inhabitants, to help keep them co-operative. However, life at home didn't change all that much. Avon's mother had some skills when it came to smithing as well, even if she wasn't as good as his father. She kept them afloat. A few years went by like that, the two of them working the shops, but as he grew Avon knew this wasn't the kind of job he wanted. Now, he respect his father and mother's work, but after sending letters too and from his dad, he knew he had wanted to explore the world. His mother had no objections, she was actually rather happy. Moving about like that would make it a little harder for the gov't to draft him, not that they would actually try that hard. Plus, it was a mother's job to support her child! However, before he could leave his home and begin to explore, he received two gifts from his dad. The first was a handgun, built to some designs Avon drew up as a child, and the second was a pendant. There was a letter as well, but that was more customary then gifty. However, what wasn't customary was the contents. His father told him about the minister, and what was going on with their country. They didn't hear much about it from their neighbors or friends, being within one of the more patriotic areas. They would hear about how the minister was 'doing god's work' and other things like that. But Avon's father told him what he knew, and what he expected. Now, Avon wasn't always a driven kid, but after hearing what his father was concerned with he couldn't help be interested. So, with his new 'best friend' in hand and both a drive to help and explore, Avon would set off! Others: N/A
