I have made a post that is actually on time for once!
Erahja moved at the signal and approached a bandit who looked more surprised and confused than frightened by illusionary monster, as though he hadn’t yet evaluated the situation to come to the conclusion he should be afraid. While she made sure she was not seen and that her target and the other bandits were sufficiently distracted when she made her strike, she made no attempt to keep the attack itself unnoticed. The first strike was supposed to be a killing one, after all, and stealth would soon be useless. Rhaedin and Sevine had already taken out one pair when, from her crouching position, Erahja rammed her spear up under the ribs of the bandit she had picked out. His scream was partly drowned out by the door smashing down.

Erahja’s first instinct was that the bandits were being reinforced, and she nearly turned to attack the newcomers. She did not have time to take this action however, or realize that the strangers were not dressed as the bandits, before another actual enemy thrust a shortsword at her and took her attention. It also seemed like Zal and Tathein had joined the combat and things quickly went from a calculated attack to uncontrollable battle as usually was the case with these things. Her attacker drove her back, she noticed, closer to where the hostages were bound, she noticed. She kept him at a distance and waited for an opening. The one she got did not allow her to instantly kill the bandit, but he was forced to make a bad jump to the side, and he lost his balance and fell. Instead of moving to finish him off, Erahja took this time to draw her dagger in one hand and started cutting at the ropes around the hostages. They were thick but not that strong and the threads parted easily from the blade. When the bandit got back on his feet and attacked again she returned both hands to her spear, dropping the dagger on the floor.

Elrithian held the illusion for longer than he would have wanted, wishing that the fighting would have started sooner. The un-existing monster was not solid and he could not make it move far or attack so it seemed to him that someone would soon see straight through it. However, in his concentration time seemed slower and in chock people unused to magic don’t always consider to doubt their senses immediately, and it was not so many seconds until chaos broke out. Once the women in the front had made their attack and the door been broken down, most of the bandits seemed to turn their attention to the attackers that actually harmed them, and Elrithian let go of the spell. The red, scaly beast made one last shriek and leapt on someone as to attack, only to disappear into nothingness.

Despite his still somewhat recent poisoning, Elrithian still had some strength in him with the help of Zalrinus’ amulet. Once he no longer had to concentrate on the complex illusion, the mage instead used the rest of his strength to try to protect his allies from blows. From the relative safety of the doorway beside the S’ithra’s noisy dog he tried to cast weaved protections on those who stood still enough and was ready with a momentary force-shield if anyone looked like they might miss a block or were attacked from a direction they were not expecting. It was challenging to cast even a bad weaved armor on someone who moved around, and the momentary protection would only last an instant and had to be as well timed as a blocking sword to be useful, but he hoped he could make sure serious injuries were avoided despite this. It also seemed like they were being aided. Two strangers had appeared through the broken door, and they appear to be facing the bandits as well.
My next post is in progress and I'll make sure to have it up this weekend. Macabre, if it was a question in need of an answer, Elrithian will drop the illusion as soon as the initial suprise is over (it is a complicated and tireing spell, after all) and instead aim to cast shields and the like on those who risk being clubbed in the head by bandits.

And I really like this RP as well, I'm really glad I dared out of the 1x1 scene and stumbled into this^^

The map I made^^
I think I'll pay some sort of tribute to mine, at least for a while, they're pretty funny. I do like your creepy stare and blue mohawk respectively.
Just gonna mention I have the old map too, if anyone wanta it somewhere.

Also, I'll have to think up a spell list for Elrithian, and I would actually appreciate some help with that, if you have the time, Macabre.
Guardj! There you are. We had a rp going and I loved it, I even think I have the whole thing saved somewhere. How are you doing?
The old post is up now^^
Elrithian still wore his proud face and his sister thought with disapproval that this was not a good time for him to be all stubborn, but the captain seemed to be giving him leave. He nodded and though out the appearance for a frightening monster they could appear to have summoned. He judged that would be as much, if not more attention grabbing than the previous plan.

Elrithian accepted Zalrinu’s amulet with some surprise, and his expression softened a bit what seemed to be an act of kindness. He quickly dropped that face again though with the next words from the S’ithra. He didn’t know what the lizard meant with two deaths, and he was sure he didn’t want to, but he had caused enough trouble already, and accepted the amulet with nod and a correct thanks.

Erahja followed the other two women up the stairs. The bandits seemed preoccupied and were looking the other way, making avoiding being seem by them considerably easier. She saw Rhaedin wave her forward from behind the counter in the tavern. She was more used to sneak over soft ground than on floors, but thought creeping around here was not that much different from hunting anyway, so keeping an eye on the bandits she followed, with little sound or worry. Well stationed with Rhaedin and Sevine, she waited for the signal to attack, which would probably start with seeing what her brother had come up with for distraction.

The thing that Elrithian had come up with as a distraction appeared first as a magic circle on the floor, soon followed by a monster materializing in it. A very handy way to craft an illusion, he though, as a creature being summoned did not have to be perfectly clear immediately, and the bandits were not supposed to look at it carefully at it anyway, before being attacked by the rest of the troop. The creature was one of myth, one he had seen illustrated in books but believed was extinct if it ever existed at all, that he had chosen to make a more real interpretation of. It was fourlegged and scaly, with its frontlegs rising clearly higher than its back and ending in talons. It was just taller than a human, and considerably wider, with a sharp beak for a mouth. He could even give it a bit of a screeching noise and thought that this was probably more unnerving than one detached head, at least he hoped so as he was not touching the damned thing. Naturally he had to use two different spells for it, and was grateful for the amulet, without it he would probably not be of much further use after this.
OMG guys guess what I found on my other computer:

Primary
Name: Erahja Vaelrin
Age: 28
Race: Rakasha
Gender: Female
Class: Ranger

Background: Erahja’s parents were friends of elves, and their tribe often travelled along the elven settlements by the Dark Forest. They were both killed by raiders when Erahja was so young she barely remembered them at all. In the end, it was friends of her parents, an elven couple, who raised her beside their own son, Elrithian. While he was clearly much older when Erahja was found, being an elf, she quickly outgrew him in relative age.

She grew up knowing a good number of Rakasha and grew accustomed enough with their culture, despite her living among elves and mostly seeing others of her own race when they passed by or settled for a short time near the forest. Because of this, she identifies herself both fully as a Rakasha, and as the daughter of her elven parents. She and Elrithian are so accustomed to being siblings they sometimes forget this is far from obvious to others.

The elves taught Erahja to protect the land, and trained her as a ranger, as she was sensitive to her surroundings, a natural tracker and also picked up the arts of combat very quickly. She also quickly became protective of her brother, who was always physically fragile spent long periods of time ill.

Always carrying a wanderlust, Erahja started travelling as soon as she was able. She wished to see more of the world, more than the forest she had been thought to protect. Lately, as his health got better, Elrithian has been joining her in her travels, wishing to learn more of magic through experience.

Appearance:

Erahja stands about 5’7 with an athletic build. She is covered in thick, brown fur, spotted like an ocelot. She was raised to be protective, and it stuck. She is also usually high spirited, quick to anger and quick to judgment, but she can equally quickly forgive or change her mind about someone if her initial impression is proved wrong.

Equipment: She wears leather armour, and aside from her claws, she carries a spear, that also functions as a walking stick. A dagger for non-combat use, mostly eating and other things that most non-Rakasha considers improper to use claws for. Some other gear generally useful for travelling such as warm clothing, bedrolls and rope.

Magic: None

Other Tidbits: Being considered of age when your brother, over 100 years your elder is not is a rather bizarre concept and as an effect, Erahja has chosen to disregard the concept of age in general. Deciding it is too complicated and opting to use her mental energy for other things.

Supporting
Name: Elrithian Vaelrin
Age: 189
Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Class: Mage

Background: Elrithian’s parents were both able fighters, his mother a powerful sorceress, charged with battling corruption and neutralize evil artifacts that showed up around to forest. This took its toll on her and in the end she had to step back from this job or risk her sanity. His father was a druid, who mostly patrolled the edges of the woodlands.

Elrithian himself was a physically weak child, though he had always had a strong mind and good mental defenses. Going through many periods of illness caused him to be more protected and sheltered than he would have been otherwise, but he did also spend those times reading and studying. His mother also spent much time teaching him everything she knew about magic.

Even though most of his childhood was behind him when his parents brought home Erahja, he quickly accepted her as his sister. The parents were smart enough to treat their children according to how they aged racewise, and there in something to be said about being outgrown by your sister who is more than 100 years younger than you. Once his health got better, he started to join her in her travels, wishing to learn more about magic through experience, and while he made much noise himself, he proved to be quite capable.

Appearance:

Elrithian is thin and rather pale, with long white hair and fine, even features. He could be considered beautiful, in an elven and highly unmanly kind of way. He moves with grace, but also with care, as though he was treated as if he was made of glass for so long he actually started to believe it. He dresses in magerobes, which, along with his hair, he manages to keep surprisingly clean.

Elrithian does not give off a strong impression. He is mostly quiet and unobtrusive and carries a polite smile. Closer examination however, will reveal that he is also quick-witted and fully able to be both friendly and determined if the situation calls for it. He often allows Erahja to do the talking, unless some form of diplomacy or knowledge is required.

Equipment: Aside from the robes he is wearing and equipment that belongs to him but is carries by Erahja, Elrithian always carries a spellbook and a bag containing herbs. He also has a dagger, though that is rarely used as a weapon.

Magic: Not sure what to do with this part just yet.

Other Tidbits: This is probably where I should add that Elrithian and Erahja both acquired sturdy angardian horses for their current mission.
