Robert can room with anyone. and the intro post kind of got out of hand.
Robert carefully maneuvered the Yellow, Vintage F250 pickup truck until it was adjacent to some other vehicles parked near the large manor. As he turned off the engine, he took a second to look at the old truck’s interior. He had only gotten it recently but he felt that it had character and gave the previous owner a good deal for it. The truck had to be at least from the 1970s but it didn’t look worn down at all despite it having been involved in at least 4 car crashes. The friendly old man who sold it to Robert said it was dependable and indestructible and so far it had proven to be just that.

Robert got out and looked around. He thought the place looked familiar. “It looks very similar to an older and larger version of Aunt Harley’s house,” he thought. He grabbed his simple, gray panama fedora and his remarkably large and overstuffed black duffel bag from the truck before locking it. He slipped the bag across his shoulder and the hat onto his head.

The gray hat matched his gray slacks and gray and white saddle shoes. He also wore a black wrinkle-free button down shirt and red suspenders. He wasn’t sure what he was supposed to wear. The letter didn’t say but he had a few changes in clothes, something for every occasion, just in case. He approached the house, brimming with excitement and wondering what waited inside. When he reached the door, he knocked once before realizing it was ajar. He smiled, sighed, and then went inside.

He could hear voices and seeing no one else decided to move towards the sounds. Having missed all the previous events and conversations, Robert walked in clueless during a lull in the conversation. He quickly surveyed the room. Robert asked in a friendly tone, “Hey guys. What’s going on here?”

The girls all caught his eye but one near the window stood out in particular. Before anyone could answer his question, he strolled over to Kara. “No sense in being coy” he thought. He leaned on the wall near her, smiled warmly at her, and said “Hello. Do you know what time it is?”

He immediately thought, “Oh God! Oh God! Crap! Crap! Crap! But there is sense in using lines better than that. Like any line, any line at all. There are billions of lines and you go with that crap.” He calmed down, exhaled, and thought, “Hey. No. It’s cool. You’re fine, besides, on the bright side, if she does give you the time, you’ll know that she will at least give you the time of day, and that’s not a bad start, right?” He fiddled with the ring on his right middle finger as he awaited her response.

Okay I have a few concerns.1) 30 Tons is a bit much, nerf it some what. Maybe 162) I will allow the arrow catching, but no bullet catching. He may be fast but he can't be fast enough to catch bullets3) I would be okay if he can take low caliber fire arms, but just being able to stroll through machine gun fire... You know what just keep that, but if he gets a shotgun blast to the chest he is going to feel it in a bad way.

Done.

It explains it very good, thanks! When you say absorb kinetic energy does that mean he is affected by it while he absorbs the energy or can he absorb a punch to the face like it was nothing?

I was thinking more of the second one but I can change it if you want.

What kind of energy can he absorb and how?

He can absorb the natural energies that he come in contact, but no magic or psychic energies. He can absorb radiation, plasma energy (lighting and the like), kinetic energy, and thermal energy. This is limited to energy that he has made contact with. He is not able to be tightly strapped to a chair in a dark room and just suddenly decide to absorb energy from the air or suck power from an electrical outlet halfway across the room or anything like that. He would have to be in contact with or really close to absorb any energies. If he was completing a circuit then that energy is fair game but if he is on the ground watching someone else get blasted by energy, he couldn't do anything unless he could get in the energy's path.

Does that suffice?
Name: Terrence Park
Alias: Brass
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Skills: One of the best young fighters in Blüdhaven, incorporating a number of styles. Advanced Archer and Swordsmen. Proficient with firearms.
Powers: Metagene-Terry’s partially active metagene allows for him to absorb various forms of energy. The easiest form for him to absorb is kinetic but electric and heat energies aren’t much of a problem either. A large influx of energy may render him unconscious. His energy absorption allows for superhuman agility, durability, reflexes, and strength until the energy runs out.
He can exert great strength from his muscles allowing him to crush, lift, throw or catch up to 16 tons. He can react faster than fastest humans can and can dodge, or even catch, fast moving objects like arrows. His durability can be increased to withstand machine-gun fire and falls from well over 500 feet with minimal harm. He can demonstrate impossible jumps, flips, and twists.
He cannot absorb magic energy or radiation. His physical powers are all derived from his absorption so if somehow runs out energy he will be reduced to a human who regularly engages in intense exercise. He has no defense for psychic or magical attacks since those energies are also outside of the scope of his powers. He can still be crushed or cut.
Equipment: A pair of short eskrima sticks, three aluminum knives, and a number of energy drinks in various containers
Personality: He wants everything to be right not good but right. He tries to maximize the happiness of those around him in hopes that it will make him happy. In truth, due to his upbringing the only thing that really makes him happy is combat. He joined H.I.V.E. to get a better life than the one he had in Blüdhaven but harbors guilt over those he left behind especially since a large part of him doesn’t really understand why he left.
History: Terry’s father was a mysterious man who was a member of the Republic of Korea Army Special Forces. Terry’s father met Sandra on a mission to Blüdhaven that never officially happened. However, Terry’s father did manage to impregnate Sandra before he left. Terry’s father left Sandra and his unborn son with a very large sum of money. Sandra was a social worker and decided not to leave Blüdhaven because she believed she could do good there.
Sandra had plans for Terry. She wanted him to be Blüdhaven’s favorite son but first she knew he had to survive. A few months after he learned to walk Terry was submitted to all kinds of training to prepare him for the life his mother had planned for him. She made him take Gymnastics and Archery. She had him trained in Aikido, Taekwondo, Judo, fencing, Boxing, and Eskrima. She taught him Chess and Go as soon as he could understand the concepts. As he grew older, he took up Wrestling and swimming.
He went to school but his interest were in his extracurricular activities, so he did just enough to pass to the next grade. He just wasn’t very interested in traditional academia despite his mother wanting him to go to law school. He felt he was more of a physical type, a brawler.
Terry eventually joined a local gang. He quickly rose through the ranks and became part of the inner circle of one gang; it helped that he was always large for his age. Eventually, he became the one pulling the strings. He tried to use his influence to minimize the suffering of Blüdhaven because despite everything it was still “his” city.
Terry was no stranger to tragedy. However, some tragedies are worse than others. About six months before he threw in with H.I.V.E., Terry was abducted by unknown assailants. This wouldn’t have been so bad if he hadn’t been with Melinda, the girl he believed was his one true love. Their kidnappers tortured them for over a week in an attempt to get them to turn on each other as part of some sort of sick game. Eventually, their torturers decided to kill the pair hooking them up to car batteries and setting the warehouse they were in on fire.
Terry survived, Melinda did not. Eventually, Terry’s gang found them. Terry was furious that the police hadn’t even attempted to save him or Melinda. Realizing that he had powers, he gathered his circle and decided that if the cops weren’t going to do their jobs he “would be the brass this town needs.” However, when he got the chance to go to H.I.V.E. academy, he took it.
Appearance: 5’10”, Extremely Muscular build, short dark brown hair, green eyes, he has a number of scars.

He is often immature and seems incapable of taking anything seriously. He is usually laid-back and idealistic but can be aggressive at times. Bio: Robert did not live with his parents after the age of two. His parents were both very rich scientists who were extremely devoted to their work. They sent Robert to school in China when he was three. They thought it would be for the best. At the age of twelve, while really wanting to go to school in the U.S., he convinced his parents to allow him go to school in Germany. While it was not ideal, he was glad it was closer to his parents’ home than China.
Robert did very well in school all his life and was allowed to visit the U.S. during breaks in the school year. All of his life he was able to communicate with his parents but he didn’t really understand them. He couldn’t figure out why he didn’t get to live in U.S. with them it’s where they grew up and lived, as did their parents before them.
During the break between finishing his studies in Germany and preparing to go to Ionian University, he was on another trip in the U.S. He was doing some sightseeing on the West Coast. He had always dreamed of living in the U.S., but during his time in Europe, he fell in love with Greece and Europe, in general. While he had learned English, Chinese, and Gujarati during his time in China, when in Europe he continued to study language mastering German, Georgian, Spanish, and Greek just because he loved the cultures. So he was forfeiting his chance to live in the U.S. so that he could go to University in Greece.
His plans were changed when both of his parents and their driver died in a car crash. Robert was stricken by grief and could not think about anything besides his parents. The crash had left their bodies horribly mangled and his aunt had a closed casket funeral without letting Robert or anyone else view the bodies. Robert’s powers manifested during a dream on the stormy night after the funeral. He dreamed that he split off and went to his parents’ graves and teleported into their coffins and almost suffocated as a result. It was only a few weeks later when he got a strange letter that he realized maybe that strange dream wasn’t just a dream. He decided to go since the letter arrived on his father’s birthday making him remember that life truly is short. He figured it would be an adventure and would maybe get his mind off of things.

Place Of Origin: Blüdhaven

Description (Pic is optional): 6’4”, Extremely Muscular build, short dark brown hair, green eyes, he has an olive complexion and delicate features but also a number of scars.
Bio: Tyler was the product of a one night stand between his mother Sandra and an unknown man from a foreign intelligence agency. Sandra was a social worker in Blüdhaven who thought she could make a difference in the corrupt city. Tyler’s father gave Sandra a large sum of money but she stayed in Blüdhaven because of her commitment to making the city a better place. Before he was born, Sandra decided to make Tyler a part of that commitment. Tyler’s mother aimed to mold him into “Blüdhaven’s champion, the city’s favorite son.”

She was very careful with what he was fed and exposed to as a baby. As soon as possible, she had him trained in gymnastics, archery, Aikido, boxing, fencing, Judo, Taekwondo, and Eskrima. She taught his Chess and Go. Long before he started public school, she had private tutors come in and begin his education. She planned for her soon to be an Olympic athlete, then go to college and law school, and finally become the Mayor of Blüdhaven in order to eliminate the corruption and heal the city. Tyler was more interested in the physical side of things. He enjoyed the martial arts and weapons. He identified as a brawler.

As he got older, he began to participate in wrestling and swimming. He got pretty good grades in school. He eventually did get involved with Blüdhaven’s underworld joining a local gang and rising through the ranks pretty quickly. He eventually became the brain of one gang’s entire operation. He tried to use his position to minimize the suffering of all those who lived in Blüdhaven.

After a tragic experience both scarred him and partially activated his powers, he took up costume crime fighting. He tried to stay out of the way of more established heroes but stepped up when they weren’t available to help his city. He was able to deal with most non costumed criminals easily. Against those who were more skilled and more powerful, he had to be more cunning. He adopted a strategy of jumping around and not taking them head on. This worked because initially many underestimated him because he hadn’t made a name for himself yet.

Eventually he became too much of a problem for one criminal, so Joseph Martin, the Atomic Skull, was hired to capture Tyler. Tyler fell for a trap and was easily defeated during battle Martin. Tyler awoke later chained in a warehouse, injured within an inch of his life. Fortunately, he realized that his powers had increased. He blew up the warehouse in an attempt to use his new powers but did manage to escape. He decided to lay lower and learn to use his new powers. As a result, everyone thought that his crime fighting persona had died in the explosion.

After training and realizing he was more powerful than ever, he returned to crime-fighting taking the name, Startup. After a few weeks of success, the Atomic Skull returned to Blüdhaven to finish the job that he was hired to do. Despite being prepared, it was only with extreme difficulty that he was able to battle Martin to a standstill. Realizing the he still wasn’t the hero the city needed him to be, he decided to leave in order to gain experience.
