Artav sipped her tea, spreading its flavors throughout her tongue.

Artav slid her pen on the paper, writing down vital ingredients of her spell on her next book. Every little piece of mathematics and geometry in the stack of papers play a vital role in shaping Artav'i's masterpieces, and one mistake might have a detrimental effect on the tome. A spellwriter like her should be vigilant of any error in her work, lest have days, months or even years' worth of writing go to waste.

Someone knocked on the door. Artav, disturbed yet intrigued, decided to walk over and check whoever was that. She was eager to get a willing apprentice for herself, possibly reigniting her tradition of having her personal group of disciples soon. She was less eager, however, if it was one of those imbeciles who'll try to get her on their side, all because of some petty family feud.

There in her eyes a man with rather messy hair, his odd goatee included, about to shy away. Artav, with a disgruntled expression that seemed to be her regular face ever since Athalia fell, stared at him, as if she was staring directly on his very soul.

Powers
Chaos Manipulation/Chaotic Physics: Elissa can manipulate the forces of chaos-- not relating to evil demon spells typically associated with the word "chaos", but rather to the utilization of volatile, unpredictable and/or disorderly magic. Some abilities take on the concept of probability and are difficult to foresee the results, while others alter physics and turn the battlefield into a mess.

Abilities:
Chaos Field - In an area with a randomly fluctuating and expanding size, Elissa focuses on a spot to create a place where physics become all messed up, resulting in a few rocks being ripped from the ground and floating around, gravity destabilizing, and random matter appearing and disappearing. Magic can also be allocated into ramping up the intensity of the field, making the place even more chaotic with the event being directed by Michael Bay some random small explosions and gravity violent enough to throw people far at extremes.

Chaos Barrage - A barrage of red projectiles are brought forth, bringing random damage with small chances of accidental healing, to big effect or small. The damage can range from simple blunt damage to gunshot damage, and there may also be chances of some missiles ricocheting and homing in on anyone other than Elissa herself. Of course, Chaos Barrage does not recognize who are Elissa's allies, so they might want to stay clear.

Chaos Bolt - A single large projectile different from Chaos Barrage's missiles in that its power can be willingly controlled. When fired, the speed, direction and manner of the Chaos Bolt may be random, ranging from singular bullet-speed fast to slow homing with division into smaller bolts of random speed at some random point or a straight-shooting beam, or whatever mixture it makes up with.

Gravity Distortion - A less chaotic, more specific form of Chaos Field, Elissa distorts the gravity around a person, leaving them hanging in the air and heading in unwanted directions for a few random seconds, although sometimes Gravity Distortion may put them in an advantageous place. This ability can also be used on herself, and she can control it willingly in both direction and time when used as such (although jittery), making Gravity Distortion a good mode of flight for her.

Probability Shield - A permanent, innate ability that gives chances for attacks on Elissa to either miss completely or deal only slight damage.

Weaknesses
Wanted: Elissa, alias Monty, is currently a fugitive at large wanted by Lavanyan authorities for exhibiting abilities outside the continent, attacking Lavanyan officers (out of self-defense), and escaping prison. While unrecognized by her alias, revelations about her past could cause authorities, or even the Athalians themselves, to start coming after her.

Unpredictable: Her skillset's reliability is questionable at best, and may have some undesired effects such as healing enemies, damaging allies or being too weak. 

Personality
Elissa is quite the eccentric, energetic and mischievous girl, probably being a nuisance to some who prefer to be away from her antics, since she has gone under some influence from the bozos in jail. Typically she's self-centered and hotheaded, and she tends to harass whoever she doesn't like. Elissa does have some sense of good, occasionally taking action to help people in need, but she claims that she only feels obligated to and is not really eager about it. However, she also have a sense of cowardice and won't be willing to put herself in risks she deems too large to do a heroic act. She also refuses to disclose most details of her life, whether they may be related or unrelated to her status as a fugitive.

Background
Elissa had known only her crimes and mischiefs, her memory of being supposed to have been to a certain Academy only to hear the news of its fall before she was about to enter the next day, and her name, after having been knocked out and locked up behind bars, now stuck in an old dirty room. The memories of her motives for committing those felonies, the reason why she had escaped from Lavanya, the details of her family, all of them have become blurry. Although confused, Elissa had no choice but to accept this fate, spending a year in a filthy old concrete room, bound to a strange device that blocked the energy from within from welling up within her, and stuck with a bunch of bozos she had been pitting against from the days since she was thrown in here.

But suddenly, chaos ensued in the prison. Chaos of which she didn't cause; chaos that was from something else. Or was it her own power leaking, the device unable to handle her power? 

A man, bearing an unknown reason and a familiar face, turned out to be the culprit. Slowly, he approached her cell. He might have come as well to put Elissa out of her misery, but that wasn't much the case when he cast his spell on her. Instead, Elissa found herself on a plain, a few meters from the prison, and a few moments of hearing voices in her head say "flee". 

Elissa ran. And wandered. Moving from place to place, the girl regularly tried to find where she could live, being under the name of Monty Augustine to deter her captors. Nearly the entire continent, however, was in strife, and Oasari was her only choice to go.

In the archipelago, there she stumbled on a specific group of people, with names she's sure she heard before. Maria Ann Cross? Brako? She remembered reading those names on paper. Others? She have heard the somewhere. 

But nevertheless, they might give a good place to stay.
