The INT CHECK Post

We used to hide in the night, because we had nowhere else to go. We used to feed discreetly, fearing what would happen should we be caught. We used to keep to ourselves, and keep away from others. But lately, that has all gone out the window. Our kind, the 'Fey' as those in the know have taken to calling us, are becoming too adventurous, too risky, and too blood-thirsty. Common regard has been thrown to the wind, and now we are all at danger from the incompetence. Many have gone rogue, and now feed in plain sight, or kill and maim with little to no reason.

Thus have we been born. The Ultranumb Organisation. A crack-pot team of Fey, geared up to kill our own kind who have stuck their head too far out, and need to be cut down to size. My name is Lazarus Blade, and I am the leader of this team. Each of us are highly trained killers, and excel at the swift extermination of the supernatural. After all, who else knows how to hunt a hunter better than another hunter?

The Backstory

In the modern dark fantasy world of Daark, the fey exist without the humans knowledge. They used to have a strong hierarchy, led by the ‘Elder,’ a fair and level headed Fey with grand powers. All this changed when he suddenly vanished. With his disappearance, all the anarchisticly inclined fey came and start wreaking havoc. The law abiding and innocent Fey holed away, fearing what was happening. The Fey were no longer secret to the humans. A sect emerged, calling themselves the ‘Saviors’, who went around killing of the law enforcing Fey called ‘Enforcers’ and any who would prevent the Fey running rampant.

The remains of the Fey government convened, and appointed an ex-prisoner named Lazarus Blade (who had been serving time for the killing of numerous Fey) to head an organisation to stem the innocent flow of blood with the blood of the guilty instead. And thus was the Ultranumb foundation born.

The Setting

In the world of Daark, the humans reign supreme, without knowing it. The occasional one will go missing due to a Fey accident, but they are (read were) largely ignorant to the happenings of the dark underworld.

The Fey were led by a three part government. The ‘Elder’ sat at the head, and delegated all laws and regulations. Under him were the ‘Enforcers,’ who dealt with people who broke the laws of the Fey, and finally there was the ‘Voice,’ who dealt with the concerns and tribulations of the Fey public.

All the Fey appear to be human, and only a fellow fey can tell them apart. Most of them work and have assimilated into human culture easily. Many of them do have an alternate form, which is strictly forbidden from being used. All Fey can survive without human meat/blood/etc, but much prefer this. Most curb this instinct. Some, do not.

Magic runs deep and thick in the air. It is absorbed as Fey breathe. It is the reason for their long lives, advanced healing, and their powers. While some have more of an affinity than others, all fey can access it. The only way to kill a Fey is to cut off their head, or to pierce their heart. All Fey have an allergy to iron, and find that it penetrates their skin and magic quite effectively.

You will have many opportunities to add to the story and to shape what is happening. Once the scene for the mission has been set, it can be handled by anyone within reason.

I thrive on violence, and like seeing how people write it and envision it. Do not be afraid to be visceral.

Looking to restart an old RP of mine, which led to me gaining a valuable friend.

Long story short, My character awakes in the early hours of the morning to discover his room-mate is straddling him, and has her fangs sunk deep into his neck. Well, the RP starts not long after that.

Not a lot to go on, I know.
