After her morning exercise in making talismans, Sasha went to hunt for wisps again. They were still giving good experience, although they were much harder than the kobolds. She began with her routine enchantments of her equipment before opening the instant dungeon. It went well this time. She was getting better at enchanting items.

The day's training went extremely well. Sasha mowed through two dozen wisps, gunning them down with her energy spells. However, right after the last wisp dissipated, a boss spawned. There was no Genji here to help. Sasha steeled herself and engaged the boss. It was a long and difficult battle, in which she had to use some of her potions to survive. In the end, she came out alive, with a good bit of loot as her reward.

"Fucking. Awesome. I'm good," she said with a wide grin. The sheer excitement from fighting in a life-and-death battle was exhilarating. She could get addicted to this, Sasha thought. "And the money's good too. I might never need to work."

Sasha, the monster hunter? That was as close to a dream job as she could ever hope for. Exhausted from her battles, she returned to her room and slept like a log.
There was no need for a long session of studying. As soon as Sasha placed her hands on the book, a window appeared asking her if she wanted to learn it. She jabbed the "accept" button, and the book disappeared. The knowledge of talisman creation now resided in her. Although convenient, it was a disconcerting way to learn things.

Now, to put it to the test. Sasha scoured her room for anything she could turn into a talisman. She knew she needed something symbolic, but there was only usual household items in her room. Her mother was in the kitchen so she couldn't try it on the cooking utensils. She gathered random objects and attempted to turn them into talismans. With a bit of effort, she succeeded, although most of them had useless abilities that would fade away in a few hours.

Sasha happened to grab a black marker pen from her desk. Since they were used to write, Sasha figured that pens were symbolic items of knowledge and creation. She focused her will on the small object, initiating the talisman creation process. This time, a window informed her that she had created a totem instead of a talisman, which was apparently a stronger and more permanent version.

"Sweet. I'm not sure how useful a pen is, though..."

She stashed it in her inventory for the time being. It was nearly noon now, so Sasha prepared herself for combat training again. She made sure to enchant her armor and weapons to give them a bit of a boost. The additional magical properties helped a lot against the wisps.
Oh eh, I think I forgot you hadn't posted that.

I got lazy. There's nothing really important happening so describing what you had already laid out seemed like a waste of time. I just want to get to the end of the week.
If any character dies can we remake another?
It had only been six hours since Sasha went to bed, and she was already getting up. The clock read 9:23am. Her parents were overjoyed that their only daughter wasn't such a nocturnal creature anymore. The last day was well spent learning her new abilities from the books- arcane rituals was going well, and enchantments had the potential to be very useful. She had also reached the requirements to learn talisman creation, and she wasn't going to waste any time today. After a quick bath, she snagged a bar of chocolate from the kitchen and went to work in her room. Curled up on her bed, she took the book and opened it.

And that is why responsible people embrace the true nature of parkour and minimize the impact. That "silly role" is very important. It conserves the momentum you have through the air to the ground, allowing you to land in a relatively safe way. When you land on just your legs, all of that falling momentum is placed on your legs. This is fine for short heights, but on longer drops, or farther jumps, it doesn't bode well. The roll, while still kind if dangerous, should never kill you when executed with proper form and with the proper discretion. Breaking an arm or a leg is much more likely to happen.Parkour always carries a level of risk, it's part of the sport. In case you couldn't figure you out though, Erica is a risk taker. Her fighting style, Capoeria, is all about skill and risk. Much like parkour, she can die if she doesn't balance responsibility and risk taking. A over zealous kick, or over rotation, or even an improper base can lead to injury or even death. So please, take your condescending tone elsewhere.By the way, wrong spelling. I think the word you are looking for is "roll".

Indeed, that was a typo.

I'm not sure how you construed that as me being condescending. I was only commenting on what Renose said- it reminded me of a WoD RP where a player seemed intent on doing the most outrageous actions all the time, and was saved only by his amazing dice rolls. He could have died any number of times if he failed it.

Hey you make the appropriate Acrobatics Roll and I would probably allow stuff like that. This is the great thing about Game System based RPs. Things that may seem impossible just have really, really difficult rolls, and if you succeed those rolls then usually you can do said things.

And the downside would be death if you fail on a silly role.
Huh. If I sell the kobold arm band will that be enough?
Then, I'll buy the arcane and talisman books. Also, I think I'll purchase armor that's about 80k yen. Something that doesn't hamper speed- cloth or leather armor will do. Any ideas?

I'm assuming 148k yen is the amount Sasha has.
Nice, I forgot about that.

I think I'll grab the arcane magic book. And maybe the book about talismans. I assume it would be useful since Sasha uses magic?
