Katrina had been standing towards the back of the group, attempting to avoid attention and learn a bit more about the rest of them. Finally, with a sigh, she decided it was about time to get a weapon. She walked briskly towards the weapon rack and instinctively grabbed the first one-handed sword she saw. She frowned at the dented edges and rusting handle.
Well, at least it was better than nothing.

She stared warily at the orcs. She had a feeling they would be the most troublesome.

Brief history: When Katrina was young, she always wanted action and adventure. The chance came when she was allowed to join a small section of the Imperial army. She seemed pleased in the army until her fifth mission arrived. The section had been ordered to raid a small and weak village for not paying taxes. She argued with her commander, demanding for the mission to be halted. She was finally ordered to stay at camp for the length of the raid. She refused these orders and rode to the village before the raid began. She led the villagers to safety, but was caught soon after. She was charged with treason against the Imperial army.

I hope the brief history is good enough; I was having a little trouble with it. I also have to go to sleep pretty soon, so I won't be able to post tonight.

Yeah, I could probably do that. If you want, I could show you how to do it yourself for future reference.

It's a sound editing program where you can record and add effects to audio. (For example, adding echos or changing the audio pitch)

Hello, everyone!
I have no experience with role-playing on forums; however I have experience with writing one-page long stories and doing short role-plays on video-games with friends. That's good enough, right?

Anyway, any advice for getting started?
I've read some of the rules before, but I still don't really get it. I'll make sure to re-read them if they're somewhere here.
